Anyone who isn't a doctor or doesn't have a medical type brian, probably can't understand why they disregarded the other head, but seriously they couldn't care about it or really give it a name(although the kind nurse gave it one)because it wouldn't have survived or stayed attached anyways. It had no heart, making it not truly being a human or living being. If she hadn't had a living healthy twin she would have died, no human brain can live without a heart.

The term parasite is used to denote something that uses a host to live. In the case of a parasitic twin, the "parasite" cannot live on it's own as it has no organs of it's own. The term is medical, it isn't meant to be an insult.

people are really oblivious to the importance of the brain. That ignored child was capable of emotions and feelings. What difference does it matter if she had no heart, lungs, etc? Humans exist to socialize. How do you think that baby felt to be ignored band scorned? It is likely she sensed the negative emotions. They said nothing about the ignored child being brain damaged. As a matter of fact, the only abnormal thing was that she shared part of her brain.

@loving1624 The "underdeveloped" twin had no organs of her own, it's not a matter of not being able to eat on her own, she had litterally no way to absorb nourishment or oxigen on her own. When she developed gangrene, that put both twins' life at risk, and the choice was between letting them both die or having a chance at saving at least the "developed" one. Before calling names and acting like a bigot try and consider that the mother had a third newborn twin and a little girl to take care of.
