Dear Patrick, in Belgium, Europe, the banjo is not considered a cool instrument. Nevertheless, after 20 years of teaching guitar, I thought I'd expand my horizon a little, and bought a banjo and a mandolin. I started studying bluegrass picking, but the fingerpicks still feel awkward after more than 10 years. I happened to stumble onto one of your video's recently, and it was a real eye-opener. While downpicking with the back of the nail still feels a tad unnatural after more than 30 years (...)
