  • This brings back so many memories when growing up...watched this across the lake in Erie, PA...great stuff!

  • Wow. Despite its resemblance to Yakkety Sax, I always liked that tune. It's been a VERY long time sonce I've seen this.

  • @fabfeet1969--Don't forget Al Boliska (sp.?), too, the original host.

Loved watching this when I was in high school. Thanks for posting this.

  • More great canadian talent, shit that was supposed to be dripping with sarcasm !

  • Wow, I remember watching this when I was a kid growing up in Stoney Creek, Ont. I think I was about 10. I remember seeing an episode with Martin Short.

  • say what you want, Dinah was one of the sexiest women of the time..

  • Billy Van! Jack Duffy! Dinah Christie! The Home Team! My memories! My youth! My God...frikkin' awesome! Thank You!!!

  • Actually Dinah Christie is alive and well and living here in Ontario. Bill Walker, Billy Van, Jack Duffy are all gone though.

  • Peter Ustinov once referred to Dinah as "A tall, cool mind on the rocks...with a twist.". Yeah. He must have been stone drunk. Dinah is the world's oldest living fossil whose only claim to "fame" is as a charade harridan. Two words. Sounds like. CAREER DEAD!

  • Dinah Christie was one of the co-hosts of what remains one of the greatest public affairs shows Canada ever produced, This Hour Has Seven Days. But that was produced about 10 years before this Party Game clip was aired, and THHSD went off the air with high ratings and plenty of controversy.

  • A "charade harridan". Good grief!

  • Unfortunately everyone in this clip is dead now.

  • @MuscleJacker No they're not, but you ought to be, lamoid!

  • It's a game for the uninhibited!

  • Is the female celebrity in the open Dinah Christie from "Check It Out"?

  • The theme music is quite similar to the Benny Hill theme music.

  • So that's where the "Sexy Party" music comes from!

  • I thought it was originally part of the 1967 "Casino Royale" music score.

  • Today's "Toronto Star" reports that "Captain" Jack Duffy died of natural causes, yesterday, at Toronto General Hospital. He was 81.

He was a fantastic all-round entertainer and a great impressionist. Not only did he appear on variety shows in Canada and the USA, but he also did voices for several puppet characters on "Readalong" (the beloved 1970s children's show on TVO).

He didn't want a funeral, so there will be a celebration of his life instead. Details will be announced later.

  • wow, 'YouTube' is amazing in that we can get to appreciate memories like this show...thanks

  • Thank you thank you for all the PG clips!! Awesome! :D

  • The theme song is Burt Bacharach's "Bond Street". Love that music!

  • Same here. It was probably the most memorable theme song ever used on Canadian television - and the composer wasn't even Canadian. (And, by the way, my dad used to know Bill Walker, the host. A nice man and a talented broadcaster with many projects on his resume, he passed away some 15 years ago.)
