  • Not bad. The writing was good but could've used a few more "ruttings and gorams" :) Also felt you could've enhanced the story a little more. (i.e. the containers were there from a crashed transport. etc). Acting was good. All and all good work for what you had, I applaud your effort.

  • @Dunl3y Hahaha! I'd like to see you do better with $200.00 and three days!

  • horrible set. okay director. terrible acting. pretty okay writing.

  • My only gripe is that the accents were off. Especially Badger's. Again, my only gripe.

  • Haha love the beginning when they're playing the game!!!

  • Dude, this is epic. I was a bit... aprehensive... at the start, but you did a very good job. Acting was a little flat at times, but to be honest I couldn't care less. It didn't detract from the awesomeness, so i say no harm no foul.

  • i lost the game

  • Nicely done. Only thing is the acting. On most occasions it sound '' rehearsed'' . But he, that is why one is an actor and the other one not. For fans: well acted, for pro''s : not so good.

Nice camerawork, diaglogues are good, seems like you put a lot of time in this.

Congratulations on a job well done..

  • That was brilliant! Excellent dialogue that stayed very true to the characters, and I'm particularly impressed by the guys playing Mal and Jayne. Loved Jayne's fight scene, and also there was a really epic moment at 12:45. I think it could have been improved slightly if the guy playing Badger had attempted a Cockney accent, but overall this was real quality for a fan-made film.

  • The Jane fight scene, dialogue and effects where Ruttin` amazing!!! Five Stars

  • this was the first Firefly fan film I watched, and to be honest I'm not gonna watch another one because i don't think it can get any better.

  • Damn. This was the best Firefly fan film I have ever seen. Can you make more?

  • Good movie for a low budget fan made one, tho one little thing: Its mostly Jayne who suggests looting the bad guys, not Mal, oh and Jayne doesnt make sure people are dead, he usually assumes they are because he is very confident about his skills with weapons

  • "Just keep walking north and we'll find it."

    "Um... this way is south."

    LOL. Nice dialogue.

  • First off: I do agree that the dialogue and the writing was great. And where'd you get the checkersish game? I wouldn't mind keeping an eye out for that myself.

Secondly: Would you like a critical look at this? I'm not claiming to be an expert, but there were some touches I'd comment on if you were willing to hear it. Let me know.

  • well, that was surprisingly awesome.

  • Lol nice man

  • Friend I am very much impressed! You captured Whedon's world in a bottle!

  • Beautifully done. I am quite impressed.

  • Awesome fan movie! The script was right on the money. Okay, the actors weren't Hollywood's best, but you must have had a ball filming this. Really impressed by the character dialogue though, which wouldn't have been out of place read by the proper crew.

  • Beautifully done for the budget and experience you had! The dialogue was absolutely awesome. Noelle really nailed River, too!

  • Very well done. Some chips in the scene and writing here and there but as far as fan films go Fantastic work.

  • Great job guys, at first I was skeptical but I'm really impressed!!

  • This is actually pretty good!

I agree with howardbeatman, the dialogue really is firefly-ish.

the whole production really feels like firefly, and you guys did a good job emulating it!

  • Awesome job! Lots of work and love for the subject matter here. It shows on the screen. Would love to have seen what equipment you used listed in the credits.

  • would've been fantastic for me but youtube videos have a way of making voices seem annoyingly low. i don't know why it bugs me so much but the vid was still pretty awesome

  • FANTASTIC - your dialogue, effects, props, and characterization were absolutely spot-on, and your camerawork was fantastic!!

  • Where is your brown coat :(

  • I was honestly surprised by this, was far better then I expected it to be. Kudos.

  • this is great! a real treat for firefly lovers! keep it up guys! more!

  • Josh Whedon would be so proud, it felt just like the show.

  • loved the film i thought you did great, alot of poeple over act ugh, but you stayed in your comfort zone and that's why the movie was cool, great film and i kinda liked how the actor for mal sounded like eric from that 70's show epic vid

  • HAHA Sick! I love Firefly, and you guys did a great job!

  • one word....

    EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Costumes = epic!

    Acting, not so much.

Also, the guy who played Wash's voice was pretty spot-on. :P

    I'd watch another!!!!

  • Dear Michael Vest: You are dead sexy. That is all.

  • Shiny! Can't wait to see more from you guys. You made my day.

  • Ryan, I like what your team did with no budget. Great writing! Too bad you're not in south Texas; I'd love to help on a project like this. Bravo!

  • I don't usually like it when fan films use the Firefly characters, but this is really well written and well-acted. It's funny and everyone is in character. Thanks!

  • Bravo! Glad you kept it simple and concentrated on capturing the feel of Firefly rather than wasting too much time and resources on an overcomplex plot and excessive production. Great job to whoever captured the sound. Murky sound kills most fan films. So many lines had me in stitches.

I just hope your actors get a boost of confidence from this and feel a little more at ease with their lines next time (assuming you follow this up - YOU SHOULD!). They're a handsome bunch! Keep flyin'!

  • Really nice job! Keep Flyin'!

  • Well done guys! Great Job Conner!!

  • It has atmosphere. Great nice surprise!

  • Really enjoyed this fanvideo. Costumes and props were pretty damn good for a low-budget amateur effort. Best was the dialogue: "CarbonCopy68" has a real feel for Whedon's characters and writing style. As a long-time amateur actor, I wish that the actors had done better by their lines... but you work with what you have...

  • @howardbeatman haha thanks a lot man! I know the actors we're grade A thespians but we got em' mainly due to their physical resemblance to the characters of the show haha.

  • wow! that was fantastic!

  • That was great, well done!

  • awesome!!!

  • Great work!! Much better than some of the other stuff out there - like "Courage"! That show was crap! Yours was WAY better. And that other show was supposed to be "professional". Wonder what happened to them?

Keep up the great work! More episodes coming?

  • @Fireflyfreak2 Thanks a lot! Actually we weren't planning to make any more, (this was kinda just a summer project to pass time and have some fun) But now seeing all these glorious remarks we've already begun brainstorming for another episode!

  • Nice use of the Spore version of Serenity; made my day!

  • @supremeinferno43 It's 10x's better than flash ahaha

  • ahahahahah marko lol

  • this is great, nice work!

  • Gotta give you guys kudos for this one, it's great amateur work with some awesome props and sets. Hardly any camera shaking. Good coordination on the fight scene. Well done.

  • @rufferto9 Thanks! The set was built in my garage and the props were mostly made of plumbers epoxy hahaha. and the camera work was done with a homemade steadi cam haha

  • Time to troll my /b/rothers with the game.

  • wow, jayne is very strong
