Its possible he travelled to a different time (as due to the portal collapsing on him, it happened in one of the books) or the he actually entered slipspace and got shot out at a random place, or a combination of the two.
This is not the last, it is only for heroic, normal, or easy. I have beet the game on legendary and waited until after the credits, unlike you all, who are to lasy to actually wait. its a different cutscene on legendary
this is the cutscene on legendary. the first one when he goes into cryogenic sleep is on any difficulty then the one after the short break when the ship is flying towards the planet is the cutscene for when you beat the game on legendary. after tha it just goes to the menu if you don't press any buttons. there are no more cutscenes after that.
I was reading the Halo Encyclopedia and got an idea. I'm think that that all the portals in the shield world led to the same dyson sphere, and that the ship chief is in falls to a shield world. The spartans, CPO Mendez, and Halsey find another portal and leave it. they come out on the shield world where chiefs ship crashes. They meet the chief and there is some plot that involves lots of shooting. Please excuse my grammer.
But how? If they went back in time and crashed on Reach, that means that the Halo 3 Master Chief and Cortana would meet the Cortana and Master Chief before Halo 1. Which would throw off the entire series becuase then they could prevent everything and beat the Covenant to the Ark. I believe that Bungie has just placed this event at the end to get players excited. In my opinion this is brutally unfair as it's kind of sad to think that these heroes are alone.
Its impposible for it to be planet reach. it was destroyed by the covenant before the first halo game. the halo reach game is just gunna have all of the origonal spartans like kelly, linda, grace, fred, will ect.
I think in Fall of Reach at the end it isn't really "destroyed" like kaboom its gone, but more like turned into a mostly barren wasteland kind of planet, close to inhabitable, so I'd say that it is Reach and we'll learn more when Halo Reach finally comes out, cause it makes zero sense that they would show that cutscene at all if they weren't going to follow up on it.
Nah man if you read the books it says that reach actually blew up the Navy left a giant bomb and they set a timer for a couple days after reach got glassed except one spot and then all covenat ships got destroyed
what was the point of that last cutscene with him drifting towards the planet, and that sort werid music (as if saying to be continued) if theres no halo 4?
I just want to say I would like people to look down a little at my comment cause i will say this it will get you thinking on the idea of what that final part of the cutscene could mean. also the music at the end starts out as the beginings music and fades in to that eerie string music used in a lot of games and movies. oh and tell me what you think of what i said after reading it.
just for the record u dont have 2 beat on legendary if u do u get an achievement thats about it u can watch this cutscene after the credits on easy if u want ive done it (i have beaten on legendary already with a friend and seen this on legendary its the same as easy after credits)
So he's not actually dead? I thought he was because it shows that clip where it has the memorial for the fallen throughout the war and it has 117 scratched on the monument. Supposedly implying that he's dead, but is it just cause he's missing and they think he's dead?
I believe that the planet in the background is a forerunner planet. Just look at the planets surface. Doesnt it have a very forerunnerish look to tit with thos patterns? Perhaps its a planet wcich the forerunners lived on before firing the Halo array. Or prehaps since it could be outside of the arrays range, a planet which the forerunners are still living on. WE NEED A HALO 4!!!!
I agree but it needs to be a game where u play as your own character. A new string of Spartans and your one of few who believe he is still alive and are not only looking for him but are also fighting a new threat of locust creatures (creatures that take over planets and strip them of their resources like locusts do feilds).
No in odst you are just another odst. I want a game where it like 30 years or more after halo 3 and you create a character out of the many different armor permutations. The cool thing in my idea is the choice of back story and begining your characters journey as a normal soldier in the halo trilogy. The back story idea that i have right now and is the first idea in a string of them is called "Cryo-Statis" and the idea is that your character is a wwIII vet who was put on ice. hope that helped
@liveandlearnpeeps Yes that is exactly what I want. I'm talking after the war with the covenant though. The Idea is we have formed an alliance with the former covenant except for the prophets who mysteriously disappeared and formed a secret alliance with a multi-species group of locust type aliens (meaning they ravage planets for resources and move on to the next). Basically we find out, war breaks out, and the rest is left up to bungie if they ever hear about and/or like this idea.

masterchief IS in halo reach, but as an easter egg! you know at Halo 3 odst;s final cutscene where you push the right analog stick to the left so you can see the weird ape? do the same thing at the ending cutscene of Halo Reach, at the part where the pellican enters the pillar of autumn, only holding the stick to the RIGHT instead! and there you see the masterchief in a cryo tube, waiting to start halo 1!

yes, Halo Reach is a PREQUEL to Halo 1! after you finnish Reach, after the cuscene where is shows the Pillar of Autumn leaving Reach, after that cutscene it shows the FIRST cuscene of Halo 1, where the ship is moving towards Halo, and keyes asking cortana if they lost them!
and in Halo 2, masterchief made it back to earth, testing out his new mark 6 armor, and goes to high charity, and at the end the chief heads back to earth leaving cortana behind!
the reason i put Halo 2 and Halo ODST together is because Halo 2 and Halo ODSTs story line happens at ABOUT the same time!
at the first mission of ODST where the carrier goes into slipspace and that big explosion erupts, that part is the ending part of Halo 2's mission "metropolis", where miranda keyes follows the carrier into slipspace to discover Delta Halo! at ODST when the carrier leaves, you can see mirandas ship following it into slipspace!

Its possible he travelled to a different time (as due to the portal collapsing on him, it happened in one of the books) or the he actually entered slipspace and got shot out at a random place, or a combination of the two.

This is not the last, it is only for heroic, normal, or easy. I have beet the game on legendary and waited until after the credits, unlike you all, who are to lasy to actually wait. its a different cutscene on legendary

this is the cutscene on legendary. the first one when he goes into cryogenic sleep is on any difficulty then the one after the short break when the ship is flying towards the planet is the cutscene for when you beat the game on legendary. after tha it just goes to the menu if you don't press any buttons. there are no more cutscenes after that.

I was reading the Halo Encyclopedia and got an idea. I'm think that that all the portals in the shield world led to the same dyson sphere, and that the ship chief is in falls to a shield world. The spartans, CPO Mendez, and Halsey find another portal and leave it. they come out on the shield world where chiefs ship crashes. They meet the chief and there is some plot that involves lots of shooting. Please excuse my grammer.

But how? If they went back in time and crashed on Reach, that means that the Halo 3 Master Chief and Cortana would meet the Cortana and Master Chief before Halo 1. Which would throw off the entire series becuase then they could prevent everything and beat the Covenant to the Ark. I believe that Bungie has just placed this event at the end to get players excited. In my opinion this is brutally unfair as it's kind of sad to think that these heroes are alone.

Its impposible for it to be planet reach. it was destroyed by the covenant before the first halo game. the halo reach game is just gunna have all of the origonal spartans like kelly, linda, grace, fred, will ect.

I think in Fall of Reach at the end it isn't really "destroyed" like kaboom its gone, but more like turned into a mostly barren wasteland kind of planet, close to inhabitable, so I'd say that it is Reach and we'll learn more when Halo Reach finally comes out, cause it makes zero sense that they would show that cutscene at all if they weren't going to follow up on it.

Nah man if you read the books it says that reach actually blew up the Navy left a giant bomb and they set a timer for a couple days after reach got glassed except one spot and then all covenat ships got destroyed

I just want to say I would like people to look down a little at my comment cause i will say this it will get you thinking on the idea of what that final part of the cutscene could mean. also the music at the end starts out as the beginings music and fades in to that eerie string music used in a lot of games and movies. oh and tell me what you think of what i said after reading it.

just for the record u dont have 2 beat on legendary if u do u get an achievement thats about it u can watch this cutscene after the credits on easy if u want ive done it (i have beaten on legendary already with a friend and seen this on legendary its the same as easy after credits)

So he's not actually dead? I thought he was because it shows that clip where it has the memorial for the fallen throughout the war and it has 117 scratched on the monument. Supposedly implying that he's dead, but is it just cause he's missing and they think he's dead?

I believe that the planet in the background is a forerunner planet. Just look at the planets surface. Doesnt it have a very forerunnerish look to tit with thos patterns? Perhaps its a planet wcich the forerunners lived on before firing the Halo array. Or prehaps since it could be outside of the arrays range, a planet which the forerunners are still living on. WE NEED A HALO 4!!!!

I agree but it needs to be a game where u play as your own character. A new string of Spartans and your one of few who believe he is still alive and are not only looking for him but are also fighting a new threat of locust creatures (creatures that take over planets and strip them of their resources like locusts do feilds).

No in odst you are just another odst. I want a game where it like 30 years or more after halo 3 and you create a character out of the many different armor permutations. The cool thing in my idea is the choice of back story and begining your characters journey as a normal soldier in the halo trilogy. The back story idea that i have right now and is the first idea in a string of them is called "Cryo-Statis" and the idea is that your character is a wwIII vet who was put on ice. hope that helped

@liveandlearnpeeps Yes that is exactly what I want. I'm talking after the war with the covenant though. The Idea is we have formed an alliance with the former covenant except for the prophets who mysteriously disappeared and formed a secret alliance with a multi-species group of locust type aliens (meaning they ravage planets for resources and move on to the next). Basically we find out, war breaks out, and the rest is left up to bungie if they ever hear about and/or like this idea.

@joshscottrote I do play ME2 and I do it almost non-stop. and I didn't steal any ideas from them. I came up with this long before ME2 anyways and about the only place I have gotten inspiration from for this is the movie Independence day. You have to admit though that is one hell of a movie. other than that its all original. thanks for the comment though i love responding to people and getting my ideas out there.thank you everyone. masterchief IS in halo reach, but as an easter egg! you know at Halo 3 odst;s final cutscene where you push the right analog stick to the left so you can see the weird ape? do the same thing at the ending cutscene of Halo Reach, at the part where the pellican enters the pillar of autumn, only holding the stick to the RIGHT instead! and there you see the masterchief in a cryo tube, waiting to start halo 1!

yes, Halo Reach is a PREQUEL to Halo 1! after you finnish Reach, after the cuscene where is shows the Pillar of Autumn leaving Reach, after that cutscene it shows the FIRST cuscene of Halo 1, where the ship is moving towards Halo, and keyes asking cortana if they lost them!
and in Halo 2, masterchief made it back to earth, testing out his new mark 6 armor, and goes to high charity, and at the end the chief heads back to earth leaving cortana behind!

the reason i put Halo 2 and Halo ODST together is because Halo 2 and Halo ODSTs story line happens at ABOUT the same time!
at the first mission of ODST where the carrier goes into slipspace and that big explosion erupts, that part is the ending part of Halo 2's mission "metropolis", where miranda keyes follows the carrier into slipspace to discover Delta Halo! at ODST when the carrier leaves, you can see mirandas ship following it into slipspace!
