We should balance the need to be responsible environmentally with the need to secure our economic future. We need to gag the alarmists on the left and the ignorants on the right. exxon can come drill in my fucking backyard if it makes me money... one of my mom's teacher friends owns a ranch down near Laredo, TX. Exxon found oil on the property and wrote them a check for $175 million after taxes just to drill on their land...
