  • I f*cking hate those ads. Especially "Fred" screaming at me.

  • What a great song,The Beatles forever!

  • You should have seen me when John and Paul appeared. There, I really can prove I'n a crazy fan-girl!

  • Three dog night does a nice version of this song as well.

  • What the hell time signature's that instrumental break in!?!?!? Those early Beatles tunes are much much more inventive than their later stuff. Things like "Love of The Loved" too - what the hell weird chord structure is that?!?!?

  • The Challengers from Puerto Rico did an excellent version of this song. I have to see if there is a video of it :D

  • Oh lovely but maybe it is my rose coloured glasses.

  • Very sixties! I really like it!

  • English television everything was called English until PC came in , Great Days, Great Music

  • Love those legs!

  • Bravo! Glad you posted it. Tres romantic, Tres Beatle...

  • I love British television, this whole video has such a cool look to it. Great song!!

  • This is very special. I was 14 when this came out and remember buying it and playing it over and over and over again. Fabulous song made even better by George Martin's arrangement and even better again by Cilla's incredible vocal. Gutsy, soulful and yet somehow vulnerable. If you listen to the original high quality recording, it will knock you sideways.

  • Met a girl from Liverpool one. Dated a while. She was as feisty as hell, but I loved her.

  • brilliant song

  • OMG, I almost DIED at the end. The look on John's face is like "Oh, uh . Phht, I wasn't looking up your dress."

  • @beatlesholic13 I read that he told her "I saw tomorrow's laundry!" just a moment after this video finishes and she just laughed because they were live (?) on this show! teehee!

  • @Scaramouchemusic You gotta love that man.

  • Paul wrote this song, not John. Cilla herself has said so on television. Paul had written the music and the first verse, but was hastily finishing it off for her backstage, before she went out and sang it live before a televised audience. He managed it just in time, and this has been my favourite Cilla Black song ever since. Cilla was also asked on radio which was her favourite song, and she said "One of the two written for me by Paul McCartney", then picked "Step Inside Love"!

  • This is part of a 1 hour long TV special dedicated to Lennon/McCartney songs called 'The Music of John Lennon and Paul McCartney'. Some great cameo's through out the whole show of John and Paul.

  • A voz de CILLA BLACK é simplesmente maravilhosa!!!A música é simplesmente maravilhosa!!!A presença de John Lennon e Paul McCartney no vídeo é simplesmente maravilhosa!!Parabéns pelo vídeo!!!

  • awesome sound.

  • I'm totally thrilled that I found this fantastic song. Never knew it was Cilla Black. The song is great in itself but its the incredibly singing by Cilla that just makes me adore every note. How can a person sing that good and heartfelt; RESPECT!

  • Careful Johnny, you've a wife now remember.

  • One of Cilla's best, liked it ever since it was released.Good job the Health & Safety Executive wasn't around then, they'd have had scaffolding up and Cilla wearing a hard hat !.

  • THIS is Cilla Black's greatest hit. She just belts it out. Beauty!

  • Great clip! It is a Lennon & McCartney song. I still think the best version is by Head East on their Live album. Lots of energy.

  • What's John & Paul doing in this clip, did they write the song? I always thought it was a Bert Bacharach/Hal David composition

Although Cilla can sound a bit nasal at times, she proves with this song that she can sing. Her best

    Liked the dancers too!

  • @Strawberry7Lynn john and paul wrote this song... even recorded it

  • @Strawberry7Lynn No, no, John wrote it. But it sounds a little bit like a Bacharach tune, doesn't it?
