  • This is a very "plucky" video. =p

  • Your vid is a favorite on Fiji

  • cool bin ne sau

  • I'm only 13 yet I LOVE the video and understood what he was talking about!

  • @PrincessLucario good job kid.

  • The reason why they have high ranking videos here is that they are very relevant.

  • I loved this, it's all so interesting, and I'm not even going to study American Law.

    Love American Admin. law though.

  • How are people supposed to read a projection on a screen, when that screen is rotated 90 degrees from their point of view.

  • wow,my brain hurts cuz i saw the WHOLE video

  • Inumerated powers? But what about the "Welfare" clause? Many people seem to think that this clause gives congress powers that are not inumerated. If so, the welfare clause is a back door to unlimited power.

  • ROFL forty gallons a day. That's like a quarter of the volume of an entire cow.

  • I wish these students would speak up more.

  • WHO IS THE GUY IN THIS VIDEO? CAN I GET AN INTERVIEW WITH YOU SIR? IM IN BOSTON. Thanks!

  • WTF? I know these students are from abroad ....(i hope they were not LLM-students)

but the questions they ask and answers they give could not be more stupid. I am not a native english speaker too but these guys seem to be sooo dumb...if these people are/were actually MIT-Students, then I have just lost any respect/awe for MIT....

  • Where do you look for citations? I mean, where do you start? You can't read them all. You have to start with a logical point like say, "The attorneys are full of shit and they just want money and they are depriving me of justice? Where do you look to prove that your right to a trial by jury is being denied by occultists?

  • i wish this guy would quit asking questions and just teach the dang class at 04:12 so far... gaaahhhh!!!

  • @therealGP maybe the class should have READ THE BOOK before class... gaaahhhh!!!

  • How do you find the appropriate citations for a case.

It seems like too much time can be wasted searching for the citation needed to back up an argument.

  • @ExoticGawdess Cornell L.L.I. is site of choice for working professionals - Findlaw is my first site for first search. Lexis - Nexis is popular amoung commercial firms with a budget. Federal Legal Information Through Electronics has listings as well as many State, County and Municipal jurisdictions will have some form of case research tools. Williamson County Texas takes great pride in masterwork at Law.

  • @pzmtuthcvpvl

    That's helpful. Thank you.

  • So, the Supreme Court says it's okay to extend copyrights if it allows Hollywood studios to profit and gain wealth.

The Supreme Court doesn't care if you or your heirs gain wealth. The laws only benefit the elites. Non-elites, like myself, don't even enjoy the benefit of filing a copyright, after paying the copyright fee, AT ALL. NO RIGHTS FOR ME. Only for those who steal and for conglomerations that steal. The government is all take no give even though I gave them money to protect me.

  • My copyright wasn't protected by government so the government has thereby encouraged thieves to steal my literature. There's no incentive at all for me to write anything else.

Furthermore, if retards are going to benefit by stealing my property they are encourged to steal more of my writings. The government has encourged fat lazy retards to profit by being criminals.

The USA is now a criminal enterprise because it willfully failed to protect my rights. It promotes criminality.

  • @ExoticGawdess I guess only retards read your literature

  • @safapresley

    Keep guessing. Why stop now?

  • @ExoticGawdess I guess you like french fries and toast...and flowers

  • How does it promote the useful arts to take the profits from heirs of a book's copyright? How does it promote art to transfer the right from heirs to Chase Bank or to Nazis?

What writer wants her/his profits to be taken by anyone other than to someone s/he designates as a beneficiary of those rights?

It seems that the limited term clause was used to confiscate property from individuals, to keep individuals from acquiring wealth.

  • @ExoticGawdess "How does it promote art to transfer the right from heirs to Chase Bank or to Nazis?"

You lose by invocation of Godwin's law.

  • @LieutenantSmith "You lose by invocation of Godwin's law."

    Please explain.

  • @ExoticGawdess From Wikipedia:

Godwin's law is a humorous observation made by Mike Godwin in 1990 which has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."

[...] there is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically "lost" whatever debate was in progress.

  • is it even possible to do this? ins't it a huge painful grey area at times?

  • copyrights r dum because theres freedom of speechand freedom of the press, and Congress shall make no law and not even the higest court can make no laws on freedom of speechand freedom of the press.

  • I think that the reason that some of them having difficulty to answering is the fact that they are not LAW students....

I mean, questions like "what is property?" would have easily been answered by any 1L..

  • Does anyone know How do one protect an original idea such as a method to help people to go to sleep which is a form of exercise which i've been told the idea cannot be copyrighted. So If someone copies and sells my material that shows and explains my exact idea to achieve the same result, what can I do about it?, is claiming plagiarism my only option?

  • the idea is self can't be copyrighted per se, but a written expression of this idea can be copyrighted.

  • idk the video

  • The students don't seem dumber that in other MIT videos. I think they were unprepared for such a question-full lecture. And I like this way of lecturing - it forces to engage and think before the true answer comes up, although this can only work when you CAN come up with an answer, or at least guess.

  • LOL, After watching through this. You can tell the professor grows impatient, and frustrated with the students, because none of them showed to be intellectually prepared for the course. So it's not the professors fault. The class is just a dud.

  • yeah they do seem like dummies

  • I really wonder if this is an ACTUAL MIT class... because even though that the lecturer apparently has great knowledge of current (and especially past) affairs. And yes, I am aware of the fact that the class might have been nevrous or whatever, but still many people were still pretty reluctant to answer.

  • This is MIT?? these students sound like your average community college morons.

  • Hey hey radbcc! Community college moron here . . . easy now :-)

  • like, like, like...can like you guys like stop using like the word like?

  • this guy can't lecture, all i hear is a lot of questions and follow by long pauses.

  • Some of you should really focus on the positive aspects of this and not so much the negative.

  • hey bud, get into MIT then come back and talk your smack

  • This is course, is as far as I know, just offered as something you can attended if you feel like it. You could get the same information from a few books I'm sure. But not all people have the motivation to do that, so paying to go to university and attend lectures is perhaps easier for them.

  • Free education is always good man. Plus after awhile you start to appreciate his teaching style.

  • I'm 6 mins in and I'm getting annoyed. I'm hoping the questions will stop, we cant hear the responses and its just annoying waiting so long for this guy to answer his own questions. Just lecture!

  • answering will keep your brain focused on the subject of the lecture...

  • Agreed!

  • I always thought good speakers use gestures?

  • not alwars or els
