The only guy you see him slice up is in the very end, and in that, and the gameplay videos from TGS, the blood spray effects, decapitation, and cutting in half animations are nowhere to be seen. If those have been removed, I will be very disappointed.

Japanese aren't that squeamish about blood, per say.

They ARE squeamish about gore. Decapitations, amputations, and the like are very taboo in their culture. No More Heroes had people being sliced to bits (literally) before this time. Suda 51 even promised the game to be gorier than the notorious Manhunt 2.

I think the Japanese version just has the violence cut down...or maybe they just cut down the gore for TGS attendees. Or maybe they got scared by the Manhunt 2 ordeal.
