Music's in the ears of the beholder. Some think Charlie Watts is a great drummer with lots of feel. Some say he sucks & has little technique. Some might see a drummer hunched over his snare for 1/2 an hour as self-indulgent. Some may see Barker as lacking feel & technique. As for butchering the iambic pentameter (technique); I wrote free-form (feel). As a master technician, with an educated ear, you rose to defend the tradition of Buddy Rich. I'd study with you! You're great!

Look you obviously didn't get it. Some might see "a drummer hunched over his snare for half and hour as self indulgent." What's that? I never have put down either Charlie Watts or Travis Barker (both of whom hold Buddy in High esteem).

To be able "to behold music" in your ear as you say, you need to first understand where an individual is coming from. You, at this point, don't seem to have those simple tools yet. You need to know where your current heros are coming from.

My, nice rhyme, although you have butchered the iambic pentameter. Tell me why is it that kids in your age group (you probably still live with your parents, is that right?) feel loyalty to your favorite artist is best served in the form of an insult to another's offering?

So here's your chance to tell the drumming community why you feel Travis is such a great drummer. You can't use phrases like "'cause he's cool" or " He's awesome dude", or my favorite "He rocks!!!"
