  • very helpful - many thanks for posting.

  • play some blues, play some rock wiggle the whammy, instead of listing guitar parts, that most players already know.....boring 7 minutes wasted, everyone wants to know how it sounds not how you sound

  • k weird that js100 has a edge pro ...instead of the edgeIII thats not right at all ...edge pro's come on the 2500.00 Jems not 700.00 JS100.

  • just bought this guitar a few days ago upgraded the pick ups and its a fantastic guitar ,superb action and set up straight from shop, went to the shop with the intention of buying a telecaster but found this a much nicer guitar!!!

  • I have one of these, great guitar really for the price. I have one of the original ones with the different Floyd Rose. I would say you need to get it setup or set it up yourself (especially if you buy 2nd hand), I spent about 4 hours setting it up, when the intonation is set right and the Floyd set correct for the string gauge it sounds great. Some people have even put the DiMarzios on these guitars.

  • ur right bout the strat Les Paul

  • Im selling a JS body and neck strip bare wood for project!

  • setting up guitars is not hard people.

1)raise/loer the bridge to wherever you'd like it-this is called setting the action. 2)tune the natural harmonic at the 12 fret using a good quality tuner such as the Korg DTR-1000 or a Peterson Strobe.

3)then gently fret the note according to how hard/light you typically fret notes.

    4) Now, if that fretted note is SHARP move that saddle towards the BRIDGE.

5)If the fretted note is FLAT-move it towards the NUT.

    6)repeat for each string & you're done.

    TADA!

  • Coil tap or not?

  • wow this dude is a fucking idiot.

  • LOL

  • When you took camera in your hand you sound just like engel batista from dexter ! lol

  • boring lotta of bla bla bla bla, what about the guitar sound?

  • out of all of the js series, which one would be the best? i was going to buy one but i need to know what would be the best to buy

  • Please tell me how the intonation is on the js100's... i have some crappy rg350 and the intonation SUCKS! like if i get a G chord in tune the open E will be out a lot... it drives me nuts! hows the js100 compare?

  • Take it to a guitar shop and have it set up, might cost about £50-£75. Worth it as the JS-100 will not offer much more than the RG350 other than leaving you £500 less in your wallet.

  • @lastdimestudios I just sold a RG350, was horrible; shape of the guitar sticks into the body, middle pick-up is useless and gets in the way and the fretboard is just a joke, the frets are massive. Found the pickups on the JS a lot better too.

  • @ashwalyeo I know this is already a comment from a month ago but was your guitar a RG350DX? I might want to buy it but I'm also thinking about the JS100 or maybe a Ibanez RG1570z. I heard good things about the RG350DX but is a JS100 realy better? The JS100 is more expensive and I heard that it's kinda overpriced because it's a signature.. Kinda confused on what to buy now..

  • @GuitarAriaFreak1010 Well it depends on person preference I guess, JS100's are great if you can get a good one second hand. Thing I didn't like about the RG was the frets are massive and I didn't like the body. Best off going to a music store to test some out, see what you think is best. I got a JS100 second hand and bought some DiMarzio pick-ups (the same as on Joe's new guitar), and I love the guitar.

  • @ashwalyeo okay thanks I will go to a music store tommorow but I guess they won't have the JS series in that shop but I can try some RG's to see how the frets and the body are. But are second hand JS100's better than new ones because they are older or something like that?

  • @GuitarAriaFreak1010 Yeah, most signature guitars are overpriced based on the signature, the quality of the guitar would pretty much be identical to a cheaper non signature guitar.....

  • nice bed sheets LMFAO !

  • Should I sell my Gibson Explorer to get one of these??

  • The basic type of pickup is a humbucker. It is not uncommon for it to be like that...

  • does satriani play in the js 100?, is this his guitar?

  • I THINK HE PLAYS THE JS 1200 MODEL

  • no not exactly but pretty much.. his inlays are pearl dots.. and he has custom made pickups that you can buy for $110 each.. and that inlay at the end of the neck closest to the pick ups isn't there.. its pretty much the same exact thing if you spend another 200-300 dollars and that saves you like 800 bucks extra that it would cost to buy the actual real deal thing..

  • The necks are more different than they may appear. The js1000 has 6150 frets that are a little thinner than Jumbo's and has a more rounded radius. The js100 is pretty much a standard ibanez neck. with regular frets. Also the Js1000 has an Edge Pro bridge which is superior to the Edge 3 bridge of the Js100. Also, the Js1000 has a push pull knobs for a high pass filter as well as a coil tap for the hum buckers. Js 1000 > Js100.

  • dimarzio's are actually like $70 each... unless you get them in chrome or gold...

  • @itamar28111

this is one of his signature series guitars. so yes, at a point he probably would of done. Satriani has a wide range of guitars, i'm pretty sure he's currently playing js1200's though.

  • he plays the js1000

  • nice sheets ROFLOL

  • dude play the guitar we ale heard about harmony-central so we can read about the guitar

  • Starting at 4:23. That's not where you can adjust the action of individual strings. That is where you adjust intonation for individual strings.

  • is there any problem if i tune my js100 to drop d?

because a guy on a local guitar store told me i shouldnt

  • You really put that on all of the JS100 vids, didn't you.

  • yeah because i really needed to know

    any problem?

  • I'm not quite sure - it would only be a viable option if you were planning to keep it permanently in drop D.

You would have to take it into your local music shop if you are interested in pursuing this.

  • I've been looking for a new guitar, and was looking at the js100,js1000, and MAB1(michael Angelo Batio guitar by Dean Guitars). What would all of you recommend for shredding, metal, and rock?

  • Thanks. Im gettin it this christmas.

  • Very nice review bro, onlymistake you make is the bridge part, the individual saddle only adjust for the intonation, that is front or back motion, not individual up or down action as you mention. Up or down action is on the stud itself on the left and right of the bridge.

  • this what im ganna get cant wait to get that guitar on my house...

  • Not that Ibanez is bad but you should check out the Jackson customs first. I've played a lot of Ibanez, ESP, Fenders PRS, Schecters, I've played EVERYTHING and IMO NOTHING beats the Jackson custom shop guitars. I'm not talking about the regular Jackson, I'm talking about the neck through body custom shop Jackson guitars. Best resonance and sustain I've ever heard or played.

  • Should I get the JS100 or a RG350dx?

  • js100 buy far !!!!!!!!!!!

  • But i would rather want a guitar with 24 frets.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! great review! ive played one of these!!! it was AMAZING!!! of course im used to a squier strat so pretty much anything is better but it was better than a lot of other guitars that ive played! its got a very comfortable body and a nice neck thats in between a strat and les paul. Wonderful guitar!!!

  • Can't adjust the action of every single string ; the screws he shows adjust the intonation, _not_ the action.

  • Yes, it good I've an black one pickups are similar to the Paf Pro and Fred pickups.

The Bridge sucks, the Low TRII Ibanez doesn't stay in tune.

I would swap the bridge out for an Edge Pro or Original Floyd.

Then you have a JS1000 lol, little upgrades can be as good or better than the actual one Satch plays.

  • is this guitar good, someone have a review. to witch guitars i can compare it?

  • im a fuckin douchebag i chose an ibanez rg370dx over this cuz i wanted a guitar with 24 frets!!!! god dammit!

  • haha... not much beats js guitars man...rgs arent bad though... but yeah a js will be my next guitar for sure..

  • yeah that is a bummer about it

  • hey dont knock the rg, 24 frets are worth it

  • even my english is not so good

    Amazing guitar man!

    how much did it cost?

  • jackson dinky dk2m or js100

  • js100 :-P

  • :P ))

  • Jackson. Ibanez have good 7 strings ))

  • ive had my dk2m since they first came out (mine is number 4 in the first run of them) and they sound amazing, the neck is godly and i cant recommend it enough, i prefered white which is what i get but its up to you!, great guitar as i said, but the problem with the js100 is bad pickups and imo jackson is better build quality, ill get bashed for saying that prolly but i believe its true tho

  • sorry

  • thet "switch" is a toggle

its not les paul style, my warlock has one

  • how much does this guitar cost?

  • what do u people think i should get: a js100 or a jem7v?

  • you cant compare the 100 to the JEM! they're in completely different price ranges. Try the JS1000

  • @AnDr3wYoN I have both a JS1000 and a Jem both are great 2 different animals though!

  • Ah, jem's are for collectors

  • yeah its really wrong to compare a 600$ with a 2000$

  • its very expensive because joe satriani designs and endorses this model. its basically his own chain of guitars if it wasnt an ibanez. he chooses the prices of the guitar.

  • fair enough i suppose if you want his name on it people will pay anything but id rather have no name and have the maple fretbord of the 442R. jus looks better and nicer choice of finishes.

  • why is this guitar so expensive with only a basswood body and cheap pickups and a cheap troublesome bridge?

  • because it has " Joe Satriani " across it xD

  • crazy, its only worth like £200. id rather have the ibanez radius, looks better and doesnt have his name on it, £400 for a name tag lol mmmkay.

  • :o my english teacher has this guitar o_O

  • how much money are we talking about ?

  • the js 100 is like 450-500 quid

  • Gettin this for Christmas, Can't wait

  • I heard Joe say that he puts foam around his pick ups to keep them from vibrating.

  • Vai stuffed his tremolo cavity with tissue to keep the strings from vibrating if that's what you're talking about.

  • get a life

  • hi mate ive owned both a js100 and a js1000 there is no comparison the js1000 rocks it is a totally different guitar. it just depends on your pocket to but hey you pay for what you get

  • does it have push pull pots

  • Yes, I Beleave it does.

  • what ... that almost looks like an edge pro instead of the edge III did you upgrade it ?

  • Racistas!!! =]

  • onice. you spent 7 minuts telling me what i could have found out by looking at the specs.

    no playing. waste of time.

  • I mean to say good*

  • This guy for some reason I thought he gave a really go review.

  • does it have a floating tremelo?

  • I have a IBANEZ JS 100 TR and i love this guitar, is comfortable, wizard neck II is great, serious design, the Axis Humbuckers pick up have a fat sound, you can do arpeggios with a full body sound. But the edge III bridge is really bad, my tone is go out when i abuse whammy bar use.

This is not a conventional RG Guitar, this is a JOE SATRIANI Signature series guitar, so why install a EDGE III bridge, ZR bridge is lot better. I'm still thinking on remove it and install a floyd rose original.

  • I test drove this guitar at my local shop about 8 years ago and decided to go with the js-1000 instead....I made the wrong choice. I still dream about the neck on the 100, Hands down the the slickest neck i've played on a guitar at this price. Ps. Dip the the botom of the pickup in warm (not hot) wax (just the botom and sides NOT THE TOP) And that will take care of the sweat thing....

  • isn't the js1000 the same as a js100 but better?

  • It has higher quality basewood real dimarizo FRED and Paf Pro and alot beter hardware.

  • so should i get a js100 or a js1000? which is better to have/play i have played a js100 and liked it a lot but i never played a js1000 so which would you recommend at moment i play a ibanez RG7321 7 string

  • If you are just looking for a good good all around axe go for the 100( i advise changing the pickups) The neck is a little thicker then that of the 1000 and the trem is fine for most players needs. The 1000 is an exact copy of the one joe uses, so every thing on the guitar is of a higher quality then that of the 100. Is it beter? You will have to judge for yourself, You should test drive both of them and see which of them you like beter. Good Luck!

  • Thats very strange. I've tried the 100 and 1200(which is the same as the 1000 but different colour i think) and the 1200 was way better. Plus if you're looking for a nice neck check out some RG prestiges with the wizard neck. the rg1570 is slightly more expensive than the js100 but it has the kickass wizard neck. thinner and flatter than the wizard II and just generally an kickass neck. though some people prefer a fat neck with more to hold on to

  • this videos amazing...

  • hello friends..

whats the objective for this videos??

    i like that guitar...

    is it yours??

how much did u bought them???

    hope ur feedback...

  • video is too dark

  • arent these ibanez "floyd roses" supposed to keep the guitar in tune after a string break?

  • not with old floyd rose models..the guitar will be out of tuned if a string break... y dont u try it for yourself if u have the old floyd rose..

  • i have an old floyd rose i was thinking about the zero resistance tremolo that ibanez has herman li uses it

  • thats the s series ibanez guitars.. i got the S 520EX it has the zero resistacne trem and yes it does stay in tune when a string breaks ( or its suspose to anyway)

  • yeah just picking up on the "its supposed to bit of your post", a friend of mine was trying an S series in the shop with the ZR trem, and the strings were old and he snapped the high e resulting in the guitar going out of tune. however he did mention that the shop hadn't set the trem up too well

  • Nice guitar Congrats.

Orginal floyd rose is the fathers of the ibanezes tremolo and licensed from floyd rose.

But they are good anyway.. but OFR is not bad infact the most used tremolo in the world..

  • i prefer the fender floating used on jazzmasters. don't ask why, i just like the way they feel. the long arm is nice too.

  • it is not floyd rose, it is a floating tremolo, cause its not in favor of Floyd Rose

  • those "individual action adjusters" are actually to set your intonation. they dont go up and down , they go back and forth

  • Yes hes right. I hope you havnt gone and adjusted the intonation thinking that it was changing the action.

  • ooh aah

  • is it gud bruvv cuz im planing to buy one?

  • Well, the real question is; Is Joe Satriani good? YES! He designed this guitar. I'm sure it's up to par.

  • Well, the guitar is NOT up to par for the money. for the same price you could get the Ibanez RG1570. A lot better quatlity and the trem is much better

  • The 1200 is much better.

  • HAh yea, it is. No where near the price range though.

  • totally agree with Zaneus92, i went into denmark street in central hoping to get a JS100, played a rg1570 and it came home with me. better trem (especially if u get the locking stud modification) and even more noticably the kickass wizard neck. really flat, thin and fast. Though if you have the money the Js1000 and 1200 are sick, or maybe a Jem if you (like me) like thin necks.

  • "Beautiful looking knob"

    I'm so immature :)

  • nice bed covers

    not!!

  • i own this guitar

i have a PAF Pro and a Fred in the bridge

    this is an amazing guitar

  • It looks very much like my LTD MH-50 with the lil hill in the body

  • hmmm im thinking about getting one

  • Nice video ive read alot about tht guitar and im realy liking what i see thnx keep posting.

  • Good work! I'd like a POD...

    See my videos

  • when u said u have the option to adjust inividual action, those small bolts r actually for intonation adjustment

  • how much is it?? im planning on getting one after i get myself a RG370DX... btw the bridge almost blinded me hohoho

  • thats a korean one correct?

  • yep

  • Nice flower sheets.....real hardcore, lol.

  • wow make fun of a guys bed? real hardcore

  • Just kidding. Sorry if it affended you...IBANEZ RULES!!

  • When you say something like that with NO real provacation, it's considered offensive. So, yes, it offended a few people. It's called street smarts, bro. Get some.

IbanezLk, your comment made me laugh.

  • i own that guitar also

    its beautiful

i suggest you change the bridge pickup to a dimarzio fred and the neck pickup to a PAF PRO

thats the setup Joe used for years and years

  • Yea I'm going with PAF JOE and Mo'JOE coz I tested them out it and like them a bit better than the paf pro and fred. Ofcourse they too are great pickups. THX

  • im change my js100 pickups paf joe and fred.

  • beautifull dude!! congrats!, im thinking in buying that guitar too =)

  • cool thanks!
