well im little older than you and i remeber the original series very well everyone of the old eps had michael loving up to some chic with bonnine being very pissy about it whilest her and michael had chemistry of thier own.. the cars technology from the original is almost common place now however back then was all very furturistic . in season 4 of KR kitt did have a transform mode and in the original knight rider most eps were fast and furious like....on the note of cgi everything has cgi now..

GM owns the copywrite to the original knight rider car and liciense rights to daniels voice in association to knight rider. so therefore daniels being kitts voice without it being a gm car and there is no suitable gm car for the role anymore . but seeings how the origianl had some cgi in it as well however not very much it would have used it more had it been better developed at the time. and this wasnt a reboot this was a continuation of the knight rider story updated for the next generation.

i thought it stayed in line with knight rider cannon very nicely while being updated for this generation. it usually takes at least one shooting season to see the cast get really comfortable with each other behind their roles and no offense to you by any of this but you will have to understand this your prolly to young to remebr the original knight rider clearly or in its entirety you prolly seen a rerun hear and there. but KR 2008 wasn that different from KR 1982.

I am 27 so... yeah, i DO remember the original KR. And trust me, the original was NOT a fast & furious styled show... As for the "Super Pursuit" mode, it wasn't a transformation. It was just a way to make Kitt more aerodynamic so he can go faster. The original had CGI? When and where??? And yeah, both the original and the 2008 KR are cheesy. But the old KR was borderline cheesy, while 2008 version is way over the top. The thing is that, 2008 version died, and they done well to kill it IMO...

on the televison monitors inside kitt from time to time they had some computer diagrams of inside buildings usually it was motion footage however occasionly they were some early cgi drawiings and such on there. and super pursuit mode is considered a transformation wheter you like it or not had there been cgi then to make it transform it would have been done. and technically its not dead yet

it doesnt look good for a nother season however they have not totaly dumped it

Well let's see... KARR is a freakin' transformer, every chance the show got, tried to be fast and furious like, no interesting characters, no William Daniels, way too much CGI... on it's defence though it had a good musical score. Yes, the older show was campy too, but at least it was watchable back then. This new reboot... simply wasn't. Let's hope for a decent Knight Rider movie that will stay AWAY from freakin' Fast & Furious style...
