Thank you for all the info! I have learned a lot by listening to you and reading your book. I have a few questions in which some may seem simple but sometimes clarity can be helpful.

1)When your currency devalued 3 to 1 did the prices of goods at the store go up by a factor of 3? "So did you wake up and everything just cost 3 times as much"

2) Did your wages go up to compensate for this? and if so how much or time length?

3) How do you fight inflation?

Much of what you discuss is already present in the USA and has been for a long time. Every major city has ghettos. So most of us can relate to varying degrees. We either adjust and cope or move. Have you considered moving?

Economically we're headed down a similar path, having made similar mistakes. Your experience there is more likely than "The End of the World". We have some hard lessons to learn and may face some hard times, but it's not the first time.

Outstanding job of showing what happens when you live well, then it changes for the worst. Proof that we, America MUST live within our means or below. We cannot trust our elected leadership when it comes to money that they don't understand that it comes from the backs of hardworking taxpayers.

Thank you, i will check out the blog, glad i found your channel! Lots of ppl. in the USA are preparing for a collapse. I am concerned for single females and single moms with children.

Unfortunately, women and children, as well as the elderly became prime targets for criminals here.  After a collapse, there's no room for politically correct BS. Criminals know that women are physically weaker and more vulnerable, so they are frequent targets.

Women should carry pepper spray at the very least and, where legal, a handgun. A woman on high alert is less likely to be a victim than a man who ignores his surroundings and makes no preparations to defend himself.

Did you have any gold and silver or other hard assets back in 2001? Is Kirchner's government any better than De la Rua's or Menem's? Knowing what you know now, would you have moved to a more rural, less metropolitan area back in 2000? Or maybe even emigrated?

No, not really, just some cash but not much. I was about to get married married in April 2002, and had a baby on the way. It was hard but you roll with it. Family helped a lot.

They were all pretty bad, but the worst thing about the Kirchners is their dictatorship twist, they are socialist dictators, and if yo do some googel search you'll see that they are now showing their true colors.

No certainly not. Living in a rural survival homestead rocks "before" TSHTF for real. After the collapse, you become a fat, sitting duck ready to get plucked. There's safety in numbers, and the efforts of police are concentrated on keeping the majority of people safe (most live in cities) so posting cops on the middle of the woods to watch over squirrels doesn't make much sense...

....A nice homestead is possible precisely because S didn't hit the fan. Kind of ironic , I know.

Maybe I would have emigrated to another country sooner, study elsewhere and not waste my time here being so hard headed, but that's the choice I made, but I know I should have left in 2001. Of course its not easy doing so, but that's what I should have done, and what the rest of my family did. In college, with a baby on the way, it wasn't easy.

I am very interested in some of your closing comments, specifically when you said that "A lot of people in the survival and preparedness community are convinced that you need ....thousands of dollars invested." I am interested in the thoughs of someone who has gone through the SHTF, rather than some guy who spouts "How much is your life worth?" to justify his high-dollar toys.

Very enlightening. Thank you. The problem here in the US is that many people dont want to think about this, even though they know in the back of their minds it is a real possibility. The biggest concern is the many people who are living on the edge and will fall into poverty. The standard of living is going to drop precipitously, I think.

That's exactly what happened in Argentina and, unfortunately, I believe you are correct to think that it will happen in the US as well.
