who the hell would trust the bbc and what the media says about Jesus anyway.back when Jesus was alive most of the higher powers were making him seem like a bad person and trying to kill him, and that's still happening now lol.the bbc is mainstream media controlled by the higher ups, which sends out false truths
Everyone save your arguments. You all have been told truth at some point. Weather your blinded to it or not doesn't matter. You will be judged. Stop arguing about who's who because it's just vanity and vexation of spirit.
@chestveeg In a way you have a point, arguing about certain things will lead nowhere with some people. But, if you study the bible and take to account the real definition of key words and think outside the box you can see how the Bible really does make sense and doesn't contradict itself at all. One key thing you would have to put faith in however, is the idea of the authors of the Bible being divinely inspired. The authors although human were guided by god and therefore the Bible is infallible.
@BeowulfCav your right.muslims, atheist and a lot of people in this world think the bibile is unreliable because they read one or two things and take it out of context.muslims don't believe JESUS is the son of God because God is not human and cannot breed.but who are we as his creation to judge his true power and say what he can and cannot do.the original bible in hebrew is different from the translated version in english.a lot of people commenting are confused and have not read the bible fully
@fudgedogbannana Yes he was ! He studied Yoga while in India and he became a master at it ! Yoga masters can Drasticaly Slow down their Metabolism to the degree that they can pass for dead for hours !
@fudgedogbannana Yes he was ! He studied Yoga while in India and he became a master at it ! Yoga masters can Drasticaly Slow down their Metabolism to the degree that they can pass for dead for hours ! Anyone who has read about Yoga masters will verify that !!
@nicktesla45 My comment was a reply to the question " Did Jesus die on the cross", "He wasn't just playing possum". but now that bring it up, if Jesus is the Messiah what need would there be for yoga? who on earth can teach Him anything? if he is not the Messiah and we are yet to expect the real Messiah should we expect that he will go to India to learn yoga?
@fudgedogbannana You Obiously don't know much about Spiritual Evolution, Jesus ( Jeshuah) was not omnicient !, Nobody is Omnicient except God. Jesus was only a 7th Degree Initiate and an ascended master but he was not even a minor god as Krishna was. He still had a lot to learn . The Powers he had were not his own , rather he was able to be an Avatar of The Cosmic Christ and an Avatar of Vishnu most of the time and that is where his powers came from. He also Suffered from a "Messiah Complex".
@nicktesla45 Hey llama breath, how did you gather all that from my simple statement and question? The Messiah, whether it be Jesus or not is the SON of God, what need would a Messiah have for yoga? who on earth(not in heaven), what earthly master could teach him anything? None, no earthly master can teach the Messiah, that was my point.... eh eh eh I can just see the Messiah now chanting Hare Krishna eh eh eh .
@fudgedogbannana You know what Moron . it all boils down to this . One mans god is another mans ET . Earthlings are so fucken easy to fool that it's laughable !! Anyway the Bible is NOT a Realiable source of Information Because it's full of Self-Contradictions !! It even states that God Creates EVIL and if God is evil then why the fuck should we Trust him ?? I TRUST MY LOGIC AND IT HAS NEVER FAILED ME YET !!
@nicktesla45 glad to see know someone has got it boiled down, but what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? speaking of ETs a scientist ( the Japanese guy) said " what if ET wasn't just a few hundred years more advanced that us but a million". Well God is an ET but He is at least 14 billion years more advanced that us, and I still say He wouldn't send his son to Indian public school to learn anything, He would have taught him Himself. ay Mr. logic?
@nicktesla45 LOOOL have you ever read the whole of the bible with an open mind?
in fact why don't you learn hebrew and read the original bible in that language then you will know that the bible is not contradictory and is one of the most reliable sources of information
technology, alien technology, hologram, projecting the event. it never did happen. everyone seems to shut the aliens out of this. if you dont know about aliens, I suggest you start reading because it's plenty of catching up to do. it's not a lie, they do exist. most humans have been so brainwashed in their lifes, that they can even fanthom that they exist, to them it's just the most crazy fantasy ever. which makes them ignorant, because they actually believe they know what the truth is.
I do not claim to know the answer to the question but I am a great supporter of logic, reason and the workings of the laws of nature. Given that perspective, I feel that the Ahmadiyya point of view represents a very logical and realistic picture of the events. Given their view, I would estimate that they also feel he was conceived and born in the way all humans are conceived and I would support that position also.
The real question here is Why do you guys believe all this non-sense??? The bible has hundreds of mistakes and contradictions, besides. If you guys would have been born in India, chances are you would be worshiping different gods. Religions, they all claim to be the one and only and they all present evidence based on books of tales. But when confronted with logic and common sense they refuse to see the truth... i dont get it.
Whether Jesus died on a cross tree or in a stone cave is not the issue, the import his gospel was to demonstrate love, the fulfillment of the prophets and the law. Matthew 7:12 & 1 corinthians 13:13
@selasielove Jesus (peace be on him) was a true prophet of God who came for the guidance of those Jews of his time whose hearts had become hard like stones. They had completely misunderstood the essence of Mosaic teachings of tooth for a tooth and eye for an eye. They had completely forgotten why those teachings were revealed to Moses to defend the persecution he and his followers received from the enemies. Jesus came to completely change the attitude of such Jews. He was last Israelite prophet!
@JesusPassedAway Friend, it's funny when you mention Jesus and say, (PBUH). Don't you know that Jesus Himself is the Prince of Peace? And Jesus was not just a prophet, He is the Son of the Living God; the saviour of the world, the one who came to take our sins away, when He died and rose again.
@assym2006 I don't believe Jesus to be literal son of God. To me he was a true prophet of God who came with the perfect guiding teachings for the people of his time. He came with the message of "peace and love" and not of a rebel who would want his people to stand against the government of the time. Infact one of the reasons why he was rejected by Jews was that they were expecting a bloody Messiah who would topple the occupational government and "wipe out" all the "non-believers".
@MPComray004 why cant he be a prophet ?! explain ?! all the prohpets before him said the massiah will be a prohphet they didnt say he will be a god ?! moses ibrhaim etc ... all said God is one and they said the massiah will be a prophet
@MPComray004 "Son of God" is a metaphor meaning chosen one of God. Such use of language is found in many other places in the Bible. Many chosen ones of God have been called with the same title in Bible. Jesus was certainly the chosen one of God who came for the guidance of Jews of his time.
@JesusPassedAway And dude, Son of God, means exactly what Jesus said it is; The Son of God; mind you, not A Son, but The Son. It is a title exclusively reserved for Jesus because of His deity. Tell me, since the world began, who else has ever called himself The Son of God; from Abraham, down to Moses, David etc. No one else made such claim except Jesus.
@assym2006 Holy Scriptures in their original forms are true source of guidance. It is the interpolation in the religious scriptures, the understanding (or rather lack of it) of it, and the exploitation of religious text for vested and political agendas that make them look "rubbish". Original teachings of Hindu, Buddist, Jewish, and Christian teachings all came with the perfect message for the needs of the time and peoples they were meant for. Quran came with perfect messge. What are your views?
Jesus married Mary Magdalene at the wedding of Cana of Galilee. They had a son named Simon Bar Jesus (Acts 8:9, 13:6). Jesus and Mary Magdalene had two other sons and two daughters after they moved to Egypt. Their children intermarried with Africans in Upper Egypt. Paul, followed the teachings of Simon Bar Jesus (Bar means "son of" in Hebrew) and introduced his own version of Christianity. Therefore, there is no Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
Jesus was born 26 June, A.D. 7 and died in Egypt in A.D. 127 at the age of 120. Jesus studied inside pyramids. Jesus, Mary, the disciples and all other New Testament figures were black. Jesus was no "Pale Skin Albino." The Angel Gabriel was Jesus' literal father.
According to the Holy Quran Jesus didn't die. he was taken towards GOD & he will be sent back later to destroy the DADJAL (Anti Christ). the man who was crucified is a normal human being who looked like Jesus sent by god.
@maxx0123 Can you provide me a single verse of Quran where Allah Almighty declared Jesus to be alive for the last 2000 years or so? Quran only makes it clear that Jesus neither died of his injuries on the cross nor was he killed in some other way. Quran never rules out the possibility of his natural death many years after the even of crucifixion. Also nowhere does Quran talk about another man being put in place of Jesus. The awaited Messiah of the latter days has already come. alislam . o r g
@maxx0123 Everything the koran says is baed on the supposed revelation of Muhammed. But the question is this: was Muhammed there when all this transpired? Yet the fellow comes into the scene 600 years saying an angel told him Jesus did not die. Just as Joseph Smith of Mormon Church says an angel told him he is the last messenger. Muhammed, for denying the sacfrificial death of God's son shall be punished with everlasting damnation
@chine62 Quran is the revelation of GOD on the Holy Prophet. The God according to us is the same God who was the God of Adam, Abraham, Krishna, Buddha, Moses, Jesus so on and so forth. So the God who saved Jesus from this accursed death on the cross is the same God who revealed Holy Prophet of the truth about Jesus' life, mission and legacy. If J. Smith is a false prophet, then what has this to do with the truth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Read Bible in an ubiased way to find Islam's truth!
Religions are and have always been morally bankrupt. They hijack the natural love and goodness of their members and try to claim it as their own. There are many good and wonderful people all over the world, but it is because of personal decisions they have made that make who they are, not the religion they happen to be in.
Even before we learned fire, from the very beginning, from its infancy it has always been science that has led, taught, and changed us for good, not religion.
@paisleyatlarge I apologise for my interference into the discussion you were having with people of other faiths here. Religion has never been morally bankrupt, it has rather been its exploitation that has certainly done some really nasty things. This video should be a proof enough for people to see how a religion can do amazing things to people even in this age: /watch?v=lWVqtk_pkLI
@JesusPassedAway Religion is bankrupt, from the beginning. Which religion came to the table already full of love and human goodness to give to people? NONE! PEOPLE have the love and goodness in their hearts already, and do not need religion to find it. There is no evidence that religion has improved life. SCIENCE and factual evidence have given us good changes, not any beliefs. You may be deluded into thinking that good has come from your religion, but even your religion also came from people.
@paisleyatlarge Religion is a way of life. I have no dispute with your comment that human naturally has goodness in them. Man is naturally good. Despite this goodness, they have this tendency to do the most evil things too. A person who truly believes in God and the accountability of their actions, would always try to suppress the evil desires and inclinations and convert them into goodness. I know what good my religion has done to me. The thought that God is watching stops me from many evils!
@JesusPassedAway Well, I am sorry for you. I have no desire to do evil and I need no thought of god to stop me. Religions have been the cause of most of the problems in the world. Without religion, good people do good, bad people do bad. But it takes religion to make good people do bad things. No good has come to humanity from religion we couldn't get ourselves from better, safer, and truer sources, as we do. Religion and religious ideas are redundant to common sense, and usually opposed to it.
@paisleyatlarge You seem to have completely misunderstood what I wanted to say. Not everybody is as angelic as you are. People have different standards of understanding good and bad. For one person, picking an unclaimed £50 lying on the floor is fine, for the other one it is theft. Both see it differently. For one person, having extra-merital relationships are fine, for other person it deception to your spouce and family. This is why belief in God and ones' accountability is so important...
@JesusPassedAway The problem starts with the lying scriptures that people write, then claim they came from god. That is where people start to lose it, the problem STARTS with the lies of religion. Science is not based on lying beliefs but on factual evidence. I'd like for you to show some factual evidence how Islam has prevented moslem people from doing evil.
@paisleyatlarge I gave you the link to the three part video that gives a small but factual glimpse to how worlwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community is bringing positive revolution in this age. Watch it if you haven't yet: /watch?v=lWVqtk_pkLI
@JesusPassedAway Your tiny little sect isn't having a noticeable good effect on the world, no religion is nor will. SCIENCE is doing very well. Science frees people from the ignorance of their religions. No religion that says people are bad and need some god of whom there is no evidence for is going to ever have positive effect on humanity.
We do so much better without having to create such backward beliefs that have obviously done no good but cause problems for everyone.
@paisleyatlarge First you demand from me to provide you the factual evidence where religion has done good. When I provide the proof, we become "tiny" little sect. Even if were a few hundred in the world, that should have been an enough answer to your demand. As I said earlier, when did I ever say that religion and science can't co-exist? To me religion and proven science go hand in hand. There is no contradiction. Science makes my faith stronger every day.
...To me no belief in God is very dangerous. When you don't have any belief on a God who is watching you and that you will be accountable to Him for your actions, you can do anything you wish. There is nothing stopping you for as long as you keep yourself away from the worldly "law enforcing" authorities. I don't have any dispute in the fact that there would be some people who would do good regardless, but majority is not like that. Proof that religion is force for good: /watch?v=lWVqtk_pkLI
@JesusPassedAway History has proven differently. People's beliefs have caused the vast majority of problems in the world historically. SCIENCE and scientific thinking is what has changed people for the good. Ever since the beginning, since the discovery of fire, it has been that way. Science has always SAVED people from their erroneous beliefs. Stick with facts. Beliefs only cause problems and strife. People are willing to die for their beliefs, and it is only a small step to killing from there.
@paisleyatlarge Not to have a belief in God is a belief in itself as well. Everybody holds a belief. Religion is a way of life as I have already told you. Religion in its original form has never been a problem rather the solution to all the problems, it is rather its exploitation that causes trouble. I have no problem with science as a Muslim. To me there is no contradiction in the word of God and work of God (science). The problem is with those who want to seperate the two.
@JesusPassedAway That is the stupidest idea I have heard all day. Not having a belief is not the same thing as having beliefs. Religion is a way of life, a very deluded, unthinking, ignorant, and harmful way of life. What do you suppose the word of god is? Do you think that scriptures just magically floated down from heaven one fine morning? People, who are fallible and make mistakes wrote the scripture, and try to make it seem like they came from "god". Nothing could be further from the truth.
@paisleyatlarge Well you believe that there is no God. That is a belief in itself. You believe that religion is a force for evil. That is a belief in itself. You believe that religion is a deluded, unthinking, ignorant, and harmful way of life. That is a belief that you hold. I have opposite beliefs to yours but how can you say that you don't have any beliefs? I don't believe in the irrational explanation you have given to the concept of revelation etc. at all. Your belief is different from mine
@JesusPassedAway *You believe that religion is a deluded, unthinking, ignorant, and harmful way of life*
No, I do not believe that. That is historical fact. Anyone can find proof of it, it doesn't take a genius, there is plenty of evidence. Religion is based on beliefs. Science is NOT.
@paisleyatlarge If it is historical "fact" or not, that is not the issue. It is a belief that you hold. You said that you don't have any belief. How can you have no beliefs, when you have these beliefs?
@JesusPassedAway You must be deluded, or very ignorant. Facts and beliefs are completely different. We do have facts here on planet earth. I do not have beliefs. I accept evidence. That is not vague beliefs. Nobody's vague beliefs are doing any good for humanity on this planet. Science is not vague, and does a LOT for humanity.
@JesusPassedAway No, you make yourself appear to be an idiot. I do NOT believe there is NO god, I do not believe that there IS god. Apparently critical thinking is not your forte. You are the one who has this weird and fantastic idea of some god that the best scientists on earth have never found. Since YOU are the one who believes and posits such an unfounded and obviously ridiculous idea, the burden of proof is up to you or anyone else who makes such extraordinary claims to prove it.
@paisleyatlarge Well I know one of the best scientists of our times who not only believed in God but always used to say that it was this belief in one God that led him to attain nobel prize in his unification theory in Physics. His name was Dr. Abdus Salam. God is found to those who search for Him with pure and unprejudiced heart. To me those who say that there is no God have the burdon of providing proof of their extraordinary beliefs because according to them its all an accident!
@JesusPassedAway No matter what Dr. Salam believed, it is no proof. Other great scientists more recently today still do not believe in such a god. You might try to read Dr. Stephen Hawkins. Modern quantum mechanics and astrophysics show that the probablities of the universe being as it is are right on target, and need no god to create it. Who created your god? You might argue otherwise, but it was definitely created in the minds of men. There is no evidence this god ever existed otherwise.
@paisleyatlarge Which scientist has proved that there is no God? We don't have to go into quantum mechanics, astrophysics or beyond, just take the example of the functionality of a mere eye sight or that of an ear. Take the example of a sperm turning into a human being, the phases it goes through. Is it all co-incidence? It is like saying that accidently all the alphabets have gathered together in right places, and transformed into a meaningful book. Do you want me to have such views?
@JesusPassedAway I feel sorry for you if you can't accept the plainly logical steps science takes. No scientist has ever disproved god. I don't know of any scientist who has ever tried to. It is up to the people who believe in such things as that to prove them. Quantum mechanics and astrophysics both explain quite well how we have gotten here without any need at all for anybody's god to explain it. But then you are a religious believer, YOU need such a crutch as that, but I certainly do not.
@paisleyatlarge Once again you are making statements on my behalf. When did I ever reject all science? Science is the knowledge of the work of God. As I said to you earlier too that to me there is no contradiction in word of God and the work of God. Now can you explain to me how the quantum mechanics and astrophysics tell us that it has all happened without a God? The onus lies on the ones who say there is no God to prove it. Read my previous comment to see why I say that.
@JesusPassedAway You are the one who is twisting words repeatedly. I said that I know of no scientist who has ever tried to disprove any god. Astrophysics, quantum mechanics, and other science shows how we can be here without having any god. If you need such a crutch as that, fine, but science doesn't. We can get along just fine without any such idea as that. We have no need to prove there is no god, such a thing is irrelevant. But if you do, fine, keep your god, but science has no need of it.
@paisleyatlarge As I said earlier, science is nothing but knowledge of the work of God. Well, I am sure there have been many athiest scientists who would love to prove that there is no God but they simply can't. If somebody can prove to me that even a small meaningful book of 20 pages can be written all by accident where all the alphabets get together to get this result, then I am more than willing to accept that there is no God behind the creation of everything.
@JesusPassedAway Then apparently you need such a crutch, and feel slighted by the idea that scientists and others have no need for such an outdated idea. Scientists are not in the least interested in disproving your or anyone else's god. Scientific explanations work just fine without having to posit any such thing. There is no need to disprove the existence of any fantastic god of which there is no evidence nor serves any purpose to believe in. The age of believing is rapidly coming to an end.
@paisleyatlarge First of all, I don't believe that my God is different from anyone else's God. There is only one God regardless of whichever good name they call their God with. That is my belief. The limiations of scientists is to the extent that God has given them. They can't even make an exact replica of a small fly, how can they disprove the existance of God even if they try to? The age of irrationality is coming to an end and not the true belief in God at all.
@paisleyatlarge first off you just keep saying the same thing over and over secondly i have heard many scientist and the master of astro physics steven hawkins say out of his own mouth that he one believes there is some kind of God secondly that there are alot!! of things that science cannot prove so what else is there sounds to me like u have some argument with religion but dont try to make it sound like all scientist believe what your sayeing its not true
@JesusPassedAway Your religion is not needed to make people be good. From what I can see, it is the people who believe your religion who think so. The rest of us are NOT so evil we need your religion or anyone else's religion to hold us back from evil. Regular old common sense works just fine for that. So we need for women to completely cover themselves because we men are so depraved? Well, maybe YOUR men do. Not the rest of us. You people must be so shameful!
@paisleyatlarge If you don't need any religion to follow to do good as you don't seem to have even any tendencies to do bad, then what is the need of any worldly laws in your countries? What is the need of policing? Why are the prisons over flowing with criminals? If regular common sense is so common in these non-religious societies, then why to bother to spend millions of pounds in policing etc.? Topic of veiling in Islam is much more logical than some people like to potray.
@JesusPassedAway People are capable of doing bad things all by themselves. Sociologists have studied the problem for many years. Religion is not new, it has never worked, it is not the answer, it never has been, and never will be. For some reason you think that YOUR religion is so different, it has the answers that the other ones somehow managed to miss over the centuries? Don't be so deluded.
@paisleyatlarge Once again you are making statements on my behalf. I don't believe that my religion have the answers, but the religions before Islam didn't. That is not my belief. You seem to have pre-conceived notions about people who have belief in God, and you seem to tar everybody with the same brush. My belief is that true relgions have always brought solutions to the needs of the time. Once again you say that religion has never worked, even though I have shown with my video that it does!
None of the historians of that time even mentioned Jesus, there's only the Eusebian forgery in Josephus. The verdict of Nicea has no bearing on the existance of "Jesus", only the myth was created there, not a real person. Apollonius was quite different from "Jesus", but he is the inspiration of that myth and the original writer of the letters of "Paul". But all these ideas are way over 1000 years old, and we do not require such ancient myths in the here and now today; we do (or can) know better
@paisleyatlarge Apollonius like Jesus has got nothing to do with the Jesus that Islam understands. So that "myth" is meaningless to us. You have every right however to completely reject the existance of Jesus, it doesn't make any difference to my life I can assure you.
@JesusPassedAway Well there never was "Jesus", the story was made up, based on the stories and myths of Apollonius, Horus, Mithra, Joshua, and others, all hundreds of years before your religion was ever invented. It doesn't matter how many believe, nor the way it is understood, nor does it matter how meaningful the story is, none of that will make the story become true. Study history.
They must find it difficult, those who have taken authority as truth, rather than truth as authority.
And thank you for the conversation. I'll be gone for a few weeks and will look back here when I return. If you have interest to learn more about the Mythicist position, look up Achary S (D.M. Murdock), a great researcher and author of several books, and the forums on her freethought nation site are very informative, also good articles at her truthbeknown site. Keep seeking the truth!
@paisleyatlarge As I have already said that the Jesus Islam understands, doesn't have anything to do with these past mythologies. To you Islam was "invented" several hundred years after Christianity, to me the God of Islam is the same God who was the God of Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Krishna, Buddha so on and so forth. So time difference doesn't really matter to me. I have studied history and religions with an unbiased approach. To me Jesus was a ture prophet of God who came for the Jews. Thank you!
@JesusPassedAway You are absolutely right that the god of islam is the same god of jesus, jesus, moses, abraham, krishna, buddha, and MANY other 'gods' as well. If you continue to study with an unbiased approach you will find that the historical evidence brings the same conclusion to these all, that they just never did exist (Mohammed probably did exist, but even islam says he was only a man)
Never doubt the inventive power of the human mind to create imaginary friends!
@paisleyatlarge actuallt that has all been studied in detail and in the actualt mythical writings, there is actually very little correlation between christ and mythical Gods. I know your atheistic scholars like to say that there the same but not even close. For instance in one mythical account they say that both jesus and this God were born in a manger. after reading the real account. the god was born from a glowing rock and then there was jesus... people interpolate the stories. its sad really.
@paisleyatlarge you dont think for a second that the intense need for religion or a god, is proof that one exists? that mans heart cries out for something more, becuase we were created knowing that there is something more. even you now feel is, you just reject it. even dawkins admited to it! and hey guess what christianity and judaiism has yet to me debunked so hold your horses.
@BigG99 No, not for one second do I believe that is proof. You are certainly not alone in feeling that way, but that only gives you guys a false sense of 'security'. That is why people have created zillions of gods throughout ALL the time we've been here. All created by people for the same imaginary "need", and all wrong, mistaken, and causing many huge problems, wars, etc., and NOT ONE of them solving or improving the nature of anything.
@paisleyatlarge it is no less an evidence as certain behavior in newly evolved ammalls acting like its ancestoral counter parts. we use the same arguments in science.. your being selective in your acceptence of evidence.
@BigG99 Certain behaviors may point in certain directions but are not conclusive evidence. They may be used to find certain conclusive evidence however. These "needs" as you call them actually DO reveal evidence of our ancestors we evolved from, and your conclusion is understandable. However recent scientific discoveries have shown us HOW we got these "needs" and makes better understanding of what they really mean, look up "why we believe in gods" on you tube.
@paisleyatlarge i have actually already watched that video "why we believe in gods" however, that view is being held by very few scientists in the field. it has been debated for very long. what i mean by that is, that undrstanding brain function doesnt rule out that it actually has a function thats needed. its like saying we are predisposed to being addicts, but the fact is, we are addicts. brains have tendencies that correspond with actual reality and it responding to real time events.
@BigG99 Yes, but the "need" for a god is always based on previously learned ideas -eg. a Platonist wouldn't necessarily "need" god, but rather the perfect realm of ideas, an eastern mystic would nirvana. Sadly, most in the west "need" god from fear of death, of not living forever. Once a person comes to terms with that, the need for god fades away, and the fulfillment and incredible precision of living in the here and now, experiencing life in the moment is much more important, very fulfilling
@paisleyatlarge problem is many people accept religion because they longed for death not feared it. Religion for many people is about how to live life here and now. There is no need for God in terms of a crutch in life. I know many people who believe in God out of a contemplation of science and the world around us. The only need one may experience, is the need for importance and purpose. Frankly if we evolved from apes then i see no greater purpose in life, nor do i see any value in people.
@BigG99 Bud, you are way off base there. People are NOT longing for death unless they are idiots. If they really wanted it, death is always available. And the other "needs" are certainly false, there is no satisfaction that comes from feeling like we are important or have great purpose. The purpose of life is to have fun and be happy. We have great value, we are the very tip of evolution. Believers have a very sad and depressing view of reality- lucky not in Hell, they need some humility.
@paisleyatlarge once again you being the "logical atheist" fail to understand what modern science is saying. Ask any psychologist and he will tell you that purpose in life is evry important to ones mental, social and overall health. And for you to assume that someone who wants death is an idiot, is to say that someone who struggles in life should die. YOU FIRST lol.
@BigG99 No, I don't fail to understand this at all. Modern science, like me, is ALSO logical and atheistic. Being happy and having fun are VERY important, not for just me but everyone. And we ALL have struggles in life, but that doesn't mean we want death, I never have. If someone who is struggling but wants death, they are an idiot. If they want death, they can have it very easily. That is no way saying that someone who struggles with life should die. Your logic is failing you.
@paisleyatlarge you obviously dont get my point. I didnt say that everyone who struggles wants death. I said that many come to Christ because they have lost hope in this world. It is that craving for death, that some see God as a hope. its that purpose and light that makes them come alive. not the empty promises of a failing world. murder is on the rise, environment is failing, etc. if atheism is rising, then their seems to be a very interesting correlation dont you think?
@BigG99 Not having hope in this world isn't craving for death. And you most certainly did make that correlation, not me. I have no use for any god's false hope, but I do have hope, it is a human thing not dependent on any myths of god. I hope humanity will rise above the myths and belief systems which have plagued and caused horrors on earth for many centuries.
And please, don't be so silly as to blame the world's problems on atheists. That's a large gap in your logic, it's very false.
@paisleyatlarge may i ask you, where this hope of yours comes from. because if its in humanity, then you have no hope at all. humanity has failed to live in peace for 6000 years or more. what makes you think its going to start now? you put your hope in very foolish thing. Go to a third world country and experience real pain and your hope will crumble very quickly. and dont be so foolish to blame the worlds problems on religion either, it is also a logical fallicy. besides atheism is a religion
@paisleyatlarge may i ask you where this hope of yours comes from. because if its in humanity, then you have no hope at all. humanity has failed to live in peace for 6000 years or more. what makes you think its going to start now? you put your hope in very foolish thing. Go to a third world country and experience real pain and your hope will crumble very quickly. and dont be so foolish to blame the worlds problems on religion either, it is also a logical fallicy. besides atheism is a religion
@BigG99 Atheism is most certainly NOT a religion, that is patently ridiculous. And more people have been killed and more wars started by religions than ANYTHING! If you do not know that, you have never studied, only the ignorant do not recognize this fact. I have spent plenty of time in 3rd world countries, I travel every year plus I READ, and I know most of the problems they experience are caused by CONSUMERS in OUR most christian nation, not by their humanity. They actually hope as well.
@paisleyatlarge actually ya atheism is a religion. you hold to a certain set of dogmatic beliefs and understandings of the world. you cling to science as your evidence and your justification, and you attempt to evangelize others with your message. also you are intolerant of people who believe otherwise. hence you have the makings of a fine religion. its funny you dont see that. and war has been caused by human ignorance, not religion. stalin, hitler, brazilian drug cartels. you have blind faith
@BigG99 Silly! I do not have beliefs. Most other atheists and scientests are also like me in that we don't have beliefs. I have no need for beliefs, I'm happier with facts. If I don't have reliable fact, I'm happy to say I don't know, I don't have to create a belief to cover it. I have nothing to prove about me being smart, and nothing to gain by trying to pretend I know things I don't. Science IS our evidence, if you don't know that, you are an idiot. Did your beliefs create your cellphone?
@BigG99 Neither am I intolerant of people who do have beliefs, but I do point out the fallacies of believing in things for which there is not one shred of evidence. It is not only stupid but very damaging to hold on to ideas that have no basis in fact.
You seem to be quite adept at jumping to conclusions about people you know nothing about, and accusing things of which you are obviously very ignorant.
Wake up! Stop believing stuff! STUDY! get some facts. learn the truth, help others!
@BigG99 War has certainly been caused by human ignorance, esp. the ignorance of xtianity which has caused more wars, murders, & deaths than any other institution. You may not like him, but Hitler was one of yours, he always claimed to be a xtian, and had the support of the church throughout his horrors, & the church still supports such evil. Stalin was raised in a religious home and suffered priestly abuse as a child. Both these evil men were results of religion. (where's Pol Pot? forget him?)
@paisleyatlarge actually hitler, whatever he claimed to be was not following christian principles. in fact his party belief was in evolution and thus the superior race was being formed. and no the church didnt support him in his horrors. My family is german, and my grandparents where christians in the war as germans. they had groups that met regularly that prayed and protested the atrocities that hitler started. have you documented the amount of wars there have been? you assume to much.
@BigG99 Just cause you don't like him doesn't mean he wasn't xtian, he behaved just like xtians for over 1000 years, always claimed to be one, believed in jesus & had support of the pope. He was certainly more of a christian than your claim he was an atheist. What a stupid backfiring insult. He never claimed to be an atheist. I guess all the other xtians you don't like will be labeled as atheists as well. Sorry, we don't want them. We DON'T believe. How sweet of you to be god's little helper
@BigG99 And yes, I do study history. I think you must not or you would already know that xtianity has be the cause of more wars, bloodshed, murders and death than any other group. Islam a close second. That is no assumption. If you studied history you would know the difference between facts and assumptions. I think it would behoove you to open some books and so more studying before you begin to publicly air your ideas that have no factual basis.
@BigG99 With all the ignorance you have shown about subjects you have chosen to comment on here, it does not impress me one iota that you might have a degree, I certainly have no reason to dispute that with you. It is surprising who all they will give bachelor degrees to these days. You need to continue you education, your degrees have not given you any kind of clear understanding of modern science and history, if you think they have, they have done you a disservice.
@paisleyatlarge you didnt answer my question.. what kind of formal training do you have on the subject? cause you fling all the insults you want about me being ignorant, but by definition i am not with my academic training. statistically i have more training on the subject then 85% of the world... so what do you have?
@BigG99 If you do have training, you apparently are not with it now as you said and plainly show. You comments have shown the most abysmal and most likely willing ignorance here for anyone to read, and any number of degrees you may hold (Free Will Baptist University?) do nothing to change the fact. You have displayed this plainly, and call these facts an insult or not, if the shoe fits wear it. And if you think MY academic degrees have any bearing on the matter, even more demonstrably ignorant
@paisleyatlarge well your very obvious avoidance to tell me what academic training you have shows me that you actually do think its important. once again you fling insults but you cannot justify your claims. academics does play a huge role in things like critical thinking. which is the number one subject our society needs to take in my opinion because atheists arguments are full of falacies, which in a debate are thrown out as unsubstantial. schooling makes a huge difference my friend.
@BigG99 We all know academic studies are important, however your public comments display very deep ignorance (Hitler was atheist, atheists have beliefs, atheism is a religion, people turn to god because they want to die (not fear of it), etc.) regardless of your 'training', you are no scholar. Of course you don't like me saying that about you, consider it insulting, but what else is it? Ignorance is the correct word. You should be ashamed. Get facts, reality, not vague ideas.
@paisleyatlarge ... the reason why its important to have academics, is because it allows one to challenge the typical thinking on subjects and gives one access to more resources and information. i would contend that my opinion is based on resources that you have never even seen. you typically like most sheep, regergitate what your seeing in mainstream work. that is why you are in fact the one who is ignorant. if you truly believe that hitler was a christian, then you show some serious flaws.
@BigG99 What sources for you have for this info I haven't read? Hitler claimed to be a xtian just like you, you just don't like him. I don't blame you, but face the fact. It's NOT a belief. I already pointed that out to you. Beliefs are not based on fact. The other crap you have stated has no basis in fact either. The value of academics is challenging by PROVABLE FACT. YOU are simply regurgitating tired old vague ideas without having factual evidence, you plainly reject science and history
@paisleyatlarge well as a college student who got mostly honors in history, i doubt very much that i reject history or sceince. and your asking me to sum up my 4 years of college consisting of hundreds of hours of work, in a youtube comment.. seriously wake up. to argue my point it would take several papers. and a couple years to help you understand how history works! and frankly your mind just isnt ready to learn because it is such a closed system.
@BigG99 I never once asked you to sum up four years here. Four more years and hundred more hours and you still will have no evidence that Hitler was an atheist, and most any real scholar could show that easily. Even within 500 characters. History is rational, and real historians, not xtian apologists, are generally in agreement, you try to make it seem as mysterious and vague as the ideas you believe in.
@paisleyatlarge o please... you just spout nonsense.. im done giving you advice lol... hitler had evolutionary experiments. and as I said he can call himself whatever he wants, that doesnt mean he is. i can call myself michael jackson, would you believe me? of course not, because im nothing like him. just as hitler among others is nothing like a christian, thus he is not.
@BigG99 You may please stop giving advice until you learn to think critically, to be able to back up what you say with factual evidence rather than the vague ideas you happen to believe in. Having evolutionary experiments is no proof someone is an atheist. As a matter of fact, only the most extremely backwards and ignorant splinter groups of xtianity don't accept it. Even the great whore has finally learned to accept science, just some of her bastard daughters haven't.
@BigG99 Apparently, you think you are better than Hitler, your sins aren't bad as his, so he doesn't qualify to be xtian. Just where does xtianity say how much sin is too much? He was never excommunicated and you don't have the authority to judge him. He claimed to believe in and call on the lord. I'd say you are xtian, but aren't M.Jackson - again your lack of critical thinking. History shows xtians have always made war, murder and cruelty, Hitler was just following his church's long example.
@paisleyatlarge yes actually i can say that i am without a doubt less sinful then hitler lol.. i didnt order the murder of millions of jews thus i have the right to cast the first stone.. sure we all have faults but hitler was infamous for them. not to emntion im not judging him by my thought, but by the scripture, read the bible and youll discover very quickly how off hitler really was. oh and by the way stalin a known atheist killed 10 million people. so i guess atheists poop dont stink.
@BigG99 Maybe you are more pure than Hitler was. You still have no authority to judge him by scripture either, xtianity does not reside within your whim or interpretation. And still no evidence he was atheist. Xtians kill in the name of xtianity. Stalin was atheist but killed in the name of communism, not atheism, again severe lack of critical thinking. Throwing 1st stones doesn't become you xtians, esp. when you think you have that right, as you usually do.
@paisleyatlarge actually sccording to scripture i do have the right to make that call on hitler, not because of my wisdom, but simply because of Gods word itself. im not judging anybody, God is by his word. If you ever took critical thinking in college you would understand that worldviews play a huge role in ones actions. atheism for instance fits well with communism and thus the ties that stalin has to atheism cannot be seperated from his actions. it would be a fallacy to say so.
@BigG99 Maybe your scriptures do let you have the right to throw stones, our constitution does, but your calling Hitler an atheist is still unfounded. Stalin's cruelty would result from "priestly" abuse he received in his childhood, more than his atheism, which was also possibly a result of the same abuse rather than his having given it any serious deep philosophical consideration, but who knows? No matter if you took critical thinking you're not practicing it well; come on, you can do better.
@BigG99 But WHAT IF IT DID come from Stalins atheism? the fact that a psycopath claimed to be an atheist doesn't affect the price of eggs in China. Xtianity has still been the biggest known cause of untold suffering, torture, murder, war, and genocide in history, right through the 20th century and still in action today, Islam rapidly catching up. Neither have others, like Hinduism and Buddhism been innocent, but maybe some choose to throw stones where perceived to be the most evil, at xtianity.
@BigG99 For good critical thinking, mostly avoid generalities and vague ideas as points, you know, try to focus a bit more specifically. Communism is a politcal philosophy that is imposed upon its subjects as (an atheistic) religion, and believed in as such, but (as I've shown), atheism is NOT a religion, and there is no particular philosophy of atheists, but rather it provides space for many different ones - by NOT positing unfounded beliefs that are exclusive to other ideas
@paisleyatlarge except for one very specific belief that is unfounded in atheism, is the belief that there is no GOd. that is a claim that is unfounded and has yet to be decided. it would be irrational to die fighting on that hill when its not founded. it most certainly is a religious belief that takes a huge level of faith to hold to as it cannot be proven that God doesnt exist.
@BigG99 Your thinking goes bad to worse. Atheism has no belief "that there is no god" but rather does NOT believe in god or other unsubstantiated belief. I don't know why you claim to be able to think critically when you can't see this, that is NOT critical thinking at all. It takes NO faith to NOT believe. You like to publically display your delusional thinking? Repeatedly you display it, and cannot see what is written before your face. Who ever 'martyred' for atheism? it's NOT a belief
@BigG99 This tactic is used over and over by xtians and other non-critical thinkers, to just keep repeating the same non-sense again and again. As if in the repeating of it, it somehow gains more credibility. It doesn't, it just makes you look more foolish when you repeat the same baseless beliefs without being able to substantiate them. It is up the the believers to substantiate their fantastic claims, god, santa clause, etc. rather than up to those who don't believe to disprove their ideas.
@paisleyatlarge ya i have heard that rubbish before. you "believe" there is no God thus you hold a belieftoo that you must justify. Christians have made their argument for proof in a God. if the complexity and amazing order of the universe isnt enough for ya, then your living in a fantasy world. life didnt come from a rock, and things dont just appear out of thin air. seems logical to me seeings how we observe that fact everyday. we were obviously created.
@BigG99 You are obviously impervious to whatever education you may have received as well as to critical thinking. The repeating of the stupid idea you have stuck between your ears over and over claiming that atheists have beliefs holds no water and gains no credibility. Xtians and other believers may have their arguments but they break down under critical scrutiny. Atheists arguments have not been refuted, you have no proof. You display intellectual dishonest, and you know it.
@paisleyatlarge oh please if you serious believe that atheists have no specific belief system that they hold to then your rediculous. all thats missing is one of your disciples of atheism has yet to write them down on paper and make a book. call your bible as it were. if you had no strong religious beliefs you wouldnt be on here arguing with me. in fact perhaps the most disturbing and fanatical views of the "new atheist" is there belief that religion is evil. you are your own monster
@BigG99 Atheism has been around longer than any religion in existence, yet we have never written an 'atheist's bible' which should in itself be ample evidence for any thinking person right there. There have always been Bright people who know better than to believe.
And rather than just a fanatical "new atheist" view, religion has LONG been known by irrefutable factual evidence to be just about the biggest source of evil in the world (outside of ignorance, which religion depends on).
@BigG99 You can atttempt to stretch your mind into more logical thinking, I would advise it, and you cannot hide your intellectual dishonesty behind your ignorance, it has well been detected. You would have more luck finding crediblity in your church, rather than the general public where you might often run across people who actually accept evidential facts instead of believe in unproven vague ideas as answers. Our "bible" is called 'Science' and 'History' among other important sholarship.
@paisleyatlarge you fail to realize that science and especially history are as much up to imterpretation as anything. your sure footing on the matter is foolish. historians especially will tell you that much of history needs interpretation. and no evidence interprets itsself. it is all determined within a certain framework. i am tired fo talking with you. your closed mind is the very thing stopping you from seeing "the facts". i wil not respond to you anymore because it gets a person nowhere
@BigG99 Thank you, your comments are unnecessary here since they are not based on reason. We understand the framework within which history and science are interpreted, but no where near as much as the vague ideas of your theology and delusions are. History doesn't need be twisted into accommodating incredible and outdated religious ideas, most disingenious.
delusion:
- noun
a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact
@BigG99 And the only reason that Dr. Thompson's work is not widely accepted right now is because it is very new. It is however destined to be accepted and will stir up the biggest hornet's nest of controversy among the fundamentalists that you have ever seen. I mean it's bad enough for them already - they haven't been able to truly study science for a long time now, more recently, no history, and NOW! Can't study psychology!
Well, just have to go stick the nose back in the bible again
@Limbsy Have you ever heard of "apologetics"? You'd do better to study real history. Apologetics have been around a long time. They are old, they aren't coming up with new. And they have ALL been well refuted long ago. You really don't have to buy that guy's book, you can find the xtian apologetics online and read them there. As well as the logical refutations. His just repeats the old ones, and they gain no validity in the repeating of them.
@Limbsy Are you kidding? That is one of the dumbest religions in the world. You don't have to buy into that kind of crap.
Get some education, study science, history. Seek FACTUAL evidence, not beliefs. Find out the truth. Be free. Help others to know the truth. Be fulfilled as a human being.
@paisleyatlarge Ok I get it, there is no God, nothing matters, when I die I will cease to exist, love is an illusion, beauty is an illusion, there is no such thing as free will, there is no such thing as objective morality, Mother teresa fought in vain, Adolf Hitler got away with it, there is no hope for humanity... ok I got it.. I feel much better now.
@Limbsy WOW! Sorry, but you don't get it. Apparently you do not understand that there is a HERE AND NOW. That's where real truth lies. Everything matters in the moment. Beauty really is here if you look for it, but it is fleeting. Love is here and now. Free will is here and now. Humanity's best hope does not come from having unfounded beliefs. Learn to experience life in the here and now. Stop living in the past. Don't waste your time hoping for some future 'reward'. And while your here, STUDY!
@paisleyatlarge dude your full of shit... just accept the fact it doesn't mean shit! The universe came from nothing, your a frickin accident, and the universe will eventually die... great frickin show man! thanks! I'm not stupid... stop trying to make life something that it isn't... we are a @@@@@@@ accident. You can't pretend everything is so cute and pretty when you have a worldview like yours.... and THAT is rational. As for me, I will hope in God, however ambiguous He may be.
@Limbsy Well, you comment certainly makes it APPEAR that you are stupid. I haven't tried to make life something it isn't, I'm quite happy and in love with life. The universe may eventually die, we don't have evidence for what will eventually happen. But YOU will die, so you better try and learn how to live and get the most out of every day and every moment, because your hopes may never come to pass. No one knows what happens to anyone after we die. Better live for NOW! It is the greatest gift!!
Yes, that is the story, or part of it. But the story wasn't just vaguely 'played' with, the true story is part of history and can be studied by those who care to make the effort. If you seek the 'real' prophet behind the story, you need look no further than Apollonius of Tyana. His story (through Marcion) was made into "Jesus" (and "Paul") by the nasty liars of the Nicean Council, and thereby created the catholic church, the Great Whore of Babylon and her bastard daughters.
@paisleyatlarge Our understanding of Jesus is not based on the verdict given by the council of Nicea in 325 AD, rather quite different from it. We neither consider Jesus to be God, or his literal son or part of Him or anything like it. Rather a true prophet of God who was a human being and who came for the guidance for the Jews of his time. To us he came for the Israelites and he reached to all the 12 tribes of Israel before he died. You have every right to hold your views though.
your partially correct, but I dont think your smart just because you like to talk like you know more than everyone else buddy. Its you vs the majority of the world, and unfortunately u lose
No, Jesus DIDN'T Pass Away, he never existed in the first place. That was a lie put in place by the deceivers at Nicea. Sadly for you moslems, the koran is mistaken, in that it has bought into those lies, really just making it another form of a xtian 'heresy'.
The whole thing is flawed, even the 'old testament' is a bunch of made up fables by the babylonians.
Lies, based on lies, based on even older lies. It is time to get rid of the silly lies and live our lives on evidence and facts.
@paisleyatlarge I do agree that there are many things in the Bible who were played with here and there. That doesn't mean that everything in it is flawed and based on lies. If you want to completely reject even the existance of Jesus, then I can't say much, but my understanding of the evidence and facts available is that Jesus was a human being who came as a prophet for the guidance of Jews of his time. You have every right to have your own views though.
@paisleyatlarge you just say that cause you dont want to believe in the truth and religion cause its just easier you dont want to pray and you dont want to follow the truth
@RealRapAndHiphp Dude, the problem isn't that I don't want to believe in the truth and pray, etc., the problem is that YOU would rather sit back on yer dead arse and 'pray' rather than crack open a book and study. This is the same kind of person who rather than actually do anything to help anyone will just sit back and "pray" for them. Then pat themselves on the back and congratulate themselves for being such a good little helper.
@paisleyatlarge what teh fk are you talking about? so people that pray dont read now? thats retarded i read books all the time i study in high school and i am planning to go to university it dont change the fact that i do want to pray and the pray only takes a few min of your day so in the left time which is alot because the pray DONT TAKE ONLY FEW MIN you can read help some 1 or w.e you were talking about
@RealRapAndHiphp I am so terribly sorry, I just guess that it is the fact that you don't know how to write (or don't know how to use spell check) that makes you only appear to be ignorant and not know to read when in actuality you are a great scholar. Best of luck with your studies and I hope you eventually get your high school diploma and make it into a university.
;-)
(But you can stop believing in your imaginary friends someday before then I hope)
@ RealRapAndHiphp Apparently you don't get it. I most certainly do not BELIEVE in ANY bs.
STOP BELIEVING IN BS!
Wake up, study, get some facts, and UNDERSTAND. Do you 'believe' in science? It isn't a matter of belief, it is a matter of reality, what works, what is real, and your belief makes no difference.
Your religious beliefs are a laughable as believing in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. Merry Christmas and Happy Easter!
@paisleyatlarge wow are you dumb or just retarded? what part of I STUDY you dont understand? WHAT PART OF I BELIEVE in science you dont understand?
but it got no connection to fking religion? god made this word thats the only fact that no 1 can change god made the first human and this planet all the other shit is just bullshit ''get some facts'' you get some facts i study and science and all that stuff like the human body anatomy it just made me believe more in god every thingis just 2 perfect
@RealRapAndHiphp When you finally get accepted into an accredited college or university (this will take you a while) be sure to ask one of you science professors about science. Science is not a matter of belief. You are not expected to believe in science. If you are smart you will ACCEPT science as the theory by which you live you life. If you are not, you will BELIEVE what you have been told and try to live by those hypothesis. God is not evident in science.
who the hell would trust the bbc and what the media says about Jesus anyway.back when Jesus was alive most of the higher powers were making him seem like a bad person and trying to kill him, and that's still happening now lol.the bbc is mainstream media controlled by the higher ups, which sends out false truths

Everyone save your arguments. You all have been told truth at some point. Weather your blinded to it or not doesn't matter. You will be judged. Stop arguing about who's who because it's just vanity and vexation of spirit.
chestveeg 6 months ago
@chestveeg In a way you have a point, arguing about certain things will lead nowhere with some people. But, if you study the bible and take to account the real definition of key words and think outside the box you can see how the Bible really does make sense and doesn't contradict itself at all. One key thing you would have to put faith in however, is the idea of the authors of the Bible being divinely inspired. The authors although human were guided by god and therefore the Bible is infallible.

@BeowulfCav your right.muslims, atheist and a lot of people in this world think the bibile is unreliable because they read one or two things and take it out of context.muslims don't believe JESUS is the son of God because God is not human and cannot breed.but who are we as his creation to judge his true power and say what he can and cannot do.the original bible in hebrew is different from the translated version in english.a lot of people commenting are confused and have not read the bible fully

nicktesla45 8 months ago
@nicktesla45 My comment was a reply to the question " Did Jesus die on the cross", "He wasn't just playing possum". but now that bring it up, if Jesus is the Messiah what need would there be for yoga? who on earth can teach Him anything? if he is not the Messiah and we are yet to expect the real Messiah should we expect that he will go to India to learn yoga?
fudgedogbannana 8 months ago
@fudgedogbannana You Obiously don't know much about Spiritual Evolution, Jesus ( Jeshuah) was not omnicient !, Nobody is Omnicient except God. Jesus was only a 7th Degree Initiate and an ascended master but he was not even a minor god as Krishna was. He still had a lot to learn . The Powers he had were not his own , rather he was able to be an Avatar of The Cosmic Christ and an Avatar of Vishnu most of the time and that is where his powers came from. He also Suffered from a "Messiah Complex".
nicktesla45 8 months ago

I TRUST MY LOGIC AND IT HAS NEVER FAILED ME YET !!
nicktesla45 8 months ago
@nicktesla45 glad to see know someone has got it boiled down, but what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? speaking of ETs a scientist ( the Japanese guy) said " what if ET wasn't just a few hundred years more advanced that us but a million". Well God is an ET but He is at least 14 billion years more advanced that us, and I still say He wouldn't send his son to Indian public school to learn anything, He would have taught him Himself. ay Mr. logic?
fudgedogbannana 8 months ago

TheEXpothead 9 months ago
I do not claim to know the answer to the question but I am a great supporter of logic, reason and the workings of the laws of nature. Given that perspective, I feel that the Ahmadiyya point of view represents a very logical and realistic picture of the events. Given their view, I would estimate that they also feel he was conceived and born in the way all humans are conceived and I would support that position also.
Grainnie3 10 months ago
The real question here is Why do you guys believe all this non-sense??? The bible has hundreds of mistakes and contradictions, besides. If you guys would have been born in India, chances are you would be worshiping different gods. Religions, they all claim to be the one and only and they all present evidence based on books of tales. But when confronted with logic and common sense they refuse to see the truth... i dont get it.

Whether Jesus died on a cross tree or in a stone cave is not the issue, the import his gospel was to demonstrate love, the fulfillment of the prophets and the law. Matthew 7:12 & 1 corinthians 13:13
selasielove 1 year ago
@selasielove Jesus (peace be on him) was a true prophet of God who came for the guidance of those Jews of his time whose hearts had become hard like stones. They had completely misunderstood the essence of Mosaic teachings of tooth for a tooth and eye for an eye. They had completely forgotten why those teachings were revealed to Moses to defend the persecution he and his followers received from the enemies. Jesus came to completely change the attitude of such Jews. He was last Israelite prophet!
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago

@JesusPassedAway He's either Lord, Liar, or Lunatic. He cannot just be a Prophet.

@MPComray004 "Son of God" is a metaphor meaning chosen one of God. Such use of language is found in many other places in the Bible. Many chosen ones of God have been called with the same title in Bible. Jesus was certainly the chosen one of God who came for the guidance of Jews of his time.
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago

Muhammed, for denying the sacfrificial death of God's son shall be punished with everlasting damnation
chine62 1 year ago

Even before we learned fire, from the very beginning, from its infancy it has always been science that has led, taught, and changed us for good, not religion.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge I apologise for my interference into the discussion you were having with people of other faiths here. Religion has never been morally bankrupt, it has rather been its exploitation that has certainly done some really nasty things. This video should be a proof enough for people to see how a religion can do amazing things to people even in this age: /watch?v=lWVqtk_pkLI
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway Religion is bankrupt, from the beginning. Which religion came to the table already full of love and human goodness to give to people? NONE! PEOPLE have the love and goodness in their hearts already, and do not need religion to find it. There is no evidence that religion has improved life. SCIENCE and factual evidence have given us good changes, not any beliefs. You may be deluded into thinking that good has come from your religion, but even your religion also came from people.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Religion is a way of life. I have no dispute with your comment that human naturally has goodness in them. Man is naturally good. Despite this goodness, they have this tendency to do the most evil things too. A person who truly believes in God and the accountability of their actions, would always try to suppress the evil desires and inclinations and convert them into goodness. I know what good my religion has done to me. The thought that God is watching stops me from many evils!
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway Well, I am sorry for you. I have no desire to do evil and I need no thought of god to stop me. Religions have been the cause of most of the problems in the world. Without religion, good people do good, bad people do bad. But it takes religion to make good people do bad things. No good has come to humanity from religion we couldn't get ourselves from better, safer, and truer sources, as we do. Religion and religious ideas are redundant to common sense, and usually opposed to it.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge You seem to have completely misunderstood what I wanted to say. Not everybody is as angelic as you are. People have different standards of understanding good and bad. For one person, picking an unclaimed £50 lying on the floor is fine, for the other one it is theft. Both see it differently. For one person, having extra-merital relationships are fine, for other person it deception to your spouce and family. This is why belief in God and ones' accountability is so important...
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago

Study HISTORY!
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge First you demand from me to provide you the factual evidence where religion has done good. When I provide the proof, we become "tiny" little sect. Even if were a few hundred in the world, that should have been an enough answer to your demand. As I said earlier, when did I ever say that religion and science can't co-exist? To me religion and proven science go hand in hand. There is no contradiction. Science makes my faith stronger every day.
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
...To me no belief in God is very dangerous.
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway History has proven differently. People's beliefs have caused the vast majority of problems in the world historically. SCIENCE and scientific thinking is what has changed people for the good. Ever since the beginning, since the discovery of fire, it has been that way. Science has always SAVED people from their erroneous beliefs. Stick with facts. Beliefs only cause problems and strife. People are willing to die for their beliefs, and it is only a small step to killing from there.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Not to have a belief in God is a belief in itself as well. Everybody holds a belief. Religion is a way of life as I have already told you. Religion in its original form has never been a problem rather the solution to all the problems, it is rather its exploitation that causes trouble. I have no problem with science as a Muslim. To me there is no contradiction in the word of God and work of God (science). The problem is with those who want to seperate the two.
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway That is the stupidest idea I have heard all day. Not having a belief is not the same thing as having beliefs. Religion is a way of life, a very deluded, unthinking, ignorant, and harmful way of life. What do you suppose the word of god is? Do you think that scriptures just magically floated down from heaven one fine morning? People, who are fallible and make mistakes wrote the scripture, and try to make it seem like they came from "god". Nothing could be further from the truth.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Well you believe that there is no God. That is a belief in itself. You believe that religion is a force for evil. That is a belief in itself. You believe that religion is a deluded, unthinking, ignorant, and harmful way of life. That is a belief that you hold. I have opposite beliefs to yours but how can you say that you don't have any beliefs? I don't believe in the irrational explanation you have given to the concept of revelation etc. at all. Your belief is different from mine
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway *You believe that religion is a deluded, unthinking, ignorant, and harmful way of life*
No, I do not believe that. That is historical fact. Anyone can find proof of it, it doesn't take a genius, there is plenty of evidence. Religion is based on beliefs. Science is NOT.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge If it is historical "fact" or not, that is not the issue. It is a belief that you hold. You said that you don't have any belief. How can you have no beliefs, when you have these beliefs?
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway You must be deluded, or very ignorant. Facts and beliefs are completely different. We do have facts here on planet earth. I do not have beliefs. I accept evidence. That is not vague beliefs. Nobody's vague beliefs are doing any good for humanity on this planet. Science is not vague, and does a LOT for humanity.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge You believe that there is no God. Which science has proven that?
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway No, you make yourself appear to be an idiot. I do NOT believe there is NO god, I do not believe that there IS god. Apparently critical thinking is not your forte. You are the one who has this weird and fantastic idea of some god that the best scientists on earth have never found. Since YOU are the one who believes and posits such an unfounded and obviously ridiculous idea, the burden of proof is up to you or anyone else who makes such extraordinary claims to prove it.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Well I know one of the best scientists of our times who not only believed in God but always used to say that it was this belief in one God that led him to attain nobel prize in his unification theory in Physics. His name was Dr. Abdus Salam. God is found to those who search for Him with pure and unprejudiced heart. To me those who say that there is no God have the burdon of providing proof of their extraordinary beliefs because according to them its all an accident!
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway No matter what Dr. Salam believed, it is no proof. Other great scientists more recently today still do not believe in such a god. You might try to read Dr. Stephen Hawkins. Modern quantum mechanics and astrophysics show that the probablities of the universe being as it is are right on target, and need no god to create it. Who created your god? You might argue otherwise, but it was definitely created in the minds of men. There is no evidence this god ever existed otherwise.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Which scientist has proved that there is no God? We don't have to go into quantum mechanics, astrophysics or beyond, just take the example of the functionality of a mere eye sight or that of an ear. Take the example of a sperm turning into a human being, the phases it goes through. Is it all co-incidence? It is like saying that accidently all the alphabets have gathered together in right places, and transformed into a meaningful book. Do you want me to have such views?
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway I feel sorry for you if you can't accept the plainly logical steps science takes. No scientist has ever disproved god. I don't know of any scientist who has ever tried to. It is up to the people who believe in such things as that to prove them. Quantum mechanics and astrophysics both explain quite well how we have gotten here without any need at all for anybody's god to explain it. But then you are a religious believer, YOU need such a crutch as that, but I certainly do not.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Once again you are making statements on my behalf. When did I ever reject all science? Science is the knowledge of the work of God. As I said to you earlier too that to me there is no contradiction in word of God and the work of God. Now can you explain to me how the quantum mechanics and astrophysics tell us that it has all happened without a God? The onus lies on the ones who say there is no God to prove it. Read my previous comment to see why I say that.
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway You are the one who is twisting words repeatedly. I said that I know of no scientist who has ever tried to disprove any god. Astrophysics, quantum mechanics, and other science shows how we can be here without having any god. If you need such a crutch as that, fine, but science doesn't. We can get along just fine without any such idea as that. We have no need to prove there is no god, such a thing is irrelevant. But if you do, fine, keep your god, but science has no need of it.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge As I said earlier, science is nothing but knowledge of the work of God. Well, I am sure there have been many athiest scientists who would love to prove that there is no God but they simply can't. If somebody can prove to me that even a small meaningful book of 20 pages can be written all by accident where all the alphabets get together to get this result, then I am more than willing to accept that there is no God behind the creation of everything.
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway Then apparently you need such a crutch, and feel slighted by the idea that scientists and others have no need for such an outdated idea. Scientists are not in the least interested in disproving your or anyone else's god. Scientific explanations work just fine without having to posit any such thing. There is no need to disprove the existence of any fantastic god of which there is no evidence nor serves any purpose to believe in. The age of believing is rapidly coming to an end.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge First of all, I don't believe that my God is different from anyone else's God. There is only one God regardless of whichever good name they call their God with. That is my belief. The limiations of scientists is to the extent that God has given them. They can't even make an exact replica of a small fly, how can they disprove the existance of God even if they try to? The age of irrationality is coming to an end and not the true belief in God at all.
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge first off you just keep saying the same thing over and over secondly i have heard many scientist and the master of astro physics steven hawkins say out of his own mouth that he one believes there is some kind of God secondly that there are alot!! of things that science cannot prove so what else is there sounds to me like u have some argument with religion but dont try to make it sound like all scientist believe what your sayeing its not true
zulfiqar501 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway Your religion is not needed to make people be good. From what I can see, it is the people who believe your religion who think so. The rest of us are NOT so evil we need your religion or anyone else's religion to hold us back from evil. Regular old common sense works just fine for that. So we need for women to completely cover themselves because we men are so depraved? Well, maybe YOUR men do. Not the rest of us. You people must be so shameful!
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge If you don't need any religion to follow to do good as you don't seem to have even any tendencies to do bad, then what is the need of any worldly laws in your countries? What is the need of policing? Why are the prisons over flowing with criminals? If regular common sense is so common in these non-religious societies, then why to bother to spend millions of pounds in policing etc.? Topic of veiling in Islam is much more logical than some people like to potray.
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway People are capable of doing bad things all by themselves. Sociologists have studied the problem for many years. Religion is not new, it has never worked, it is not the answer, it never has been, and never will be. For some reason you think that YOUR religion is so different, it has the answers that the other ones somehow managed to miss over the centuries? Don't be so deluded.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Once again you are making statements on my behalf.

But all these ideas are way over 1000 years old, and we do not require such ancient myths in the here and now today; we do (or can) know better
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Apollonius like Jesus has got nothing to do with the Jesus that Islam understands. So that "myth" is meaningless to us. You have every right however to completely reject the existance of Jesus, it doesn't make any difference to my life I can assure you.
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway Well there never was "Jesus", the story was made up, based on the stories and myths of Apollonius, Horus, Mithra, Joshua, and others, all hundreds of years before your religion was ever invented. It doesn't matter how many believe, nor the way it is understood, nor does it matter how meaningful the story is, none of that will make the story become true. Study history.
They must find it difficult, those who have taken authority as truth, rather than truth as authority.

paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge As I have already said that the Jesus Islam understands, doesn't have anything to do with these past mythologies. To you Islam was "invented" several hundred years after Christianity, to me the God of Islam is the same God who was the God of Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Krishna, Buddha so on and so forth. So time difference doesn't really matter to me. I have studied history and religions with an unbiased approach. To me Jesus was a ture prophet of God who came for the Jews. Thank you!
JesusPassedAway 1 year ago
@JesusPassedAway You are absolutely right that the god of islam is the same god of jesus, jesus, moses, abraham, krishna, buddha, and MANY other 'gods' as well. If you continue to study with an unbiased approach you will find that the historical evidence brings the same conclusion to these all, that they just never did exist (Mohammed probably did exist, but even islam says he was only a man)
Never doubt the inventive power of the human mind to create imaginary friends!
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge actuallt that has all been studied in detail and in the actualt mythical writings, there is actually very little correlation between christ and mythical Gods. I know your atheistic scholars like to say that there the same but not even close. For instance in one mythical account they say that both jesus and this God were born in a manger. after reading the real account. the god was born from a glowing rock and then there was jesus... people interpolate the stories. its sad really.

@BigG99 As long as there have been people on earth we have believed in zillions of things, god, religions, etc.
Out of ALL the beliefs people have ever had, there is ONE thing that they all have in common. What is that one thing? They have all been WRONG!
Stop believing and get the Facts!
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge you dont think for a second that the intense need for religion or a god, is proof that one exists? that mans heart cries out for something more, becuase we were created knowing that there is something more. even you now feel is, you just reject it. even dawkins admited to it! and hey guess what christianity and judaiism has yet to me debunked so hold your horses.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 No, not for one second do I believe that is proof. You are certainly not alone in feeling that way, but that only gives you guys a false sense of 'security'. That is why people have created zillions of gods throughout ALL the time we've been here. All created by people for the same imaginary "need", and all wrong, mistaken, and causing many huge problems, wars, etc., and NOT ONE of them solving or improving the nature of anything.
We have no such "need". Stop crying for that
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge it is no less an evidence as certain behavior in newly evolved ammalls acting like its ancestoral counter parts. we use the same arguments in science.. your being selective in your acceptence of evidence.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Certain behaviors may point in certain directions but are not conclusive evidence. They may be used to find certain conclusive evidence however. These "needs" as you call them actually DO reveal evidence of our ancestors we evolved from, and your conclusion is understandable. However recent scientific discoveries have shown us HOW we got these "needs" and makes better understanding of what they really mean, look up "why we believe in gods" on you tube.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge i have actually already watched that video "why we believe in gods" however, that view is being held by very few scientists in the field. it has been debated for very long. what i mean by that is, that undrstanding brain function doesnt rule out that it actually has a function thats needed. its like saying we are predisposed to being addicts, but the fact is, we are addicts. brains have tendencies that correspond with actual reality and it responding to real time events.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Yes, but the "need" for a god is always based on previously learned ideas -eg. a Platonist wouldn't necessarily "need" god, but rather the perfect realm of ideas, an eastern mystic would nirvana. Sadly, most in the west "need" god from fear of death, of not living forever. Once a person comes to terms with that, the need for god fades away, and the fulfillment and incredible precision of living in the here and now, experiencing life in the moment is much more important, very fulfilling
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge problem is many people accept religion because they longed for death not feared it. Religion for many people is about how to live life here and now. There is no need for God in terms of a crutch in life. I know many people who believe in God out of a contemplation of science and the world around us. The only need one may experience, is the need for importance and purpose. Frankly if we evolved from apes then i see no greater purpose in life, nor do i see any value in people.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Bud, you are way off base there. People are NOT longing for death unless they are idiots. If they really wanted it, death is always available. And the other "needs" are certainly false, there is no satisfaction that comes from feeling like we are important or have great purpose. The purpose of life is to have fun and be happy. We have great value, we are the very tip of evolution. Believers have a very sad and depressing view of reality- lucky not in Hell, they need some humility.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge once again you being the "logical atheist" fail to understand what modern science is saying. Ask any psychologist and he will tell you that purpose in life is evry important to ones mental, social and overall health. And for you to assume that someone who wants death is an idiot, is to say that someone who struggles in life should die. YOU FIRST lol.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 No, I don't fail to understand this at all. Modern science, like me, is ALSO logical and atheistic. Being happy and having fun are VERY important, not for just me but everyone. And we ALL have struggles in life, but that doesn't mean we want death, I never have. If someone who is struggling but wants death, they are an idiot. If they want death, they can have it very easily. That is no way saying that someone who struggles with life should die. Your logic is failing you.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge you obviously dont get my point. I didnt say that everyone who struggles wants death. I said that many come to Christ because they have lost hope in this world. It is that craving for death, that some see God as a hope. its that purpose and light that makes them come alive. not the empty promises of a failing world. murder is on the rise, environment is failing, etc. if atheism is rising, then their seems to be a very interesting correlation dont you think?
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Not having hope in this world isn't craving for death. And you most certainly did make that correlation, not me. I have no use for any god's false hope, but I do have hope, it is a human thing not dependent on any myths of god. I hope humanity will rise above the myths and belief systems which have plagued and caused horrors on earth for many centuries.
And please, don't be so silly as to blame the world's problems on atheists. That's a large gap in your logic, it's very false.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge may i ask you, where this hope of yours comes from. because if its in humanity, then you have no hope at all. humanity has failed to live in peace for 6000 years or more. what makes you think its going to start now? you put your hope in very foolish thing. Go to a third world country and experience real pain and your hope will crumble very quickly. and dont be so foolish to blame the worlds problems on religion either, it is also a logical fallicy. besides atheism is a religion

@BigG99 Atheism is most certainly NOT a religion, that is patently ridiculous. And more people have been killed and more wars started by religions than ANYTHING!

If I don't have reliable fact, I'm happy to say I don't know, I don't have to create a belief to cover it. I have nothing to prove about me being smart, and nothing to gain by trying to pretend I know things I don't. Science IS our evidence, if you don't know that, you are an idiot. Did your beliefs create your cellphone?
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@BigG99 Neither am I intolerant of people who do have beliefs, but I do point out the fallacies of believing in things for which there is not one shred of evidence. It is not only stupid but very damaging to hold on to ideas that have no basis in fact.
You seem to be quite adept at jumping to conclusions about people you know nothing about, and accusing things of which you are obviously very ignorant.
Wake up! Stop believing stuff! STUDY! get some facts. learn the truth, help others!
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@BigG99 War has certainly been caused by human ignorance, esp. the ignorance of xtianity which has caused more wars, murders, & deaths than any other institution. You may not like him, but Hitler was one of yours, he always claimed to be a xtian, and had the support of the church throughout his horrors, & the church still supports such evil. Stalin was raised in a religious home and suffered priestly abuse as a child. Both these evil men were results of religion. (where's Pol Pot? forget him?)
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge actually hitler, whatever he claimed to be was not following christian principles. in fact his party belief was in evolution and thus the superior race was being formed. and no the church didnt support him in his horrors. My family is german, and my grandparents where christians in the war as germans. they had groups that met regularly that prayed and protested the atrocities that hitler started. have you documented the amount of wars there have been? you assume to much.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Just cause you don't like him doesn't mean he wasn't xtian, he behaved just like xtians for over 1000 years, always claimed to be one, believed in jesus & had support of the pope. He was certainly more of a christian than your claim he was an atheist. What a stupid backfiring insult. He never claimed to be an atheist. I guess all the other xtians you don't like will be labeled as atheists as well. Sorry, we don't want them. We DON'T believe. How sweet of you to be god's little helper
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@BigG99 And yes, I do study history. I think you must not or you would already know that xtianity has be the cause of more wars, bloodshed, murders and death than any other group. Islam a close second. That is no assumption. If you studied history you would know the difference between facts and assumptions. I think it would behoove you to open some books and so more studying before you begin to publicly air your ideas that have no factual basis.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge actually i have a bachelors degree in philosophy and historical studies.. what do you have?
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 With all the ignorance you have shown about subjects you have chosen to comment on here, it does not impress me one iota that you might have a degree, I certainly have no reason to dispute that with you. It is surprising who all they will give bachelor degrees to these days. You need to continue you education, your degrees have not given you any kind of clear understanding of modern science and history, if you think they have, they have done you a disservice.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge you didnt answer my question.. what kind of formal training do you have on the subject? cause you fling all the insults you want about me being ignorant, but by definition i am not with my academic training. statistically i have more training on the subject then 85% of the world... so what do you have?
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 If you do have training, you apparently are not with it now as you said and plainly show. You comments have shown the most abysmal and most likely willing ignorance here for anyone to read, and any number of degrees you may hold (Free Will Baptist University?) do nothing to change the fact. You have displayed this plainly, and call these facts an insult or not, if the shoe fits wear it. And if you think MY academic degrees have any bearing on the matter, even more demonstrably ignorant
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge well your very obvious avoidance to tell me what academic training you have shows me that you actually do think its important. once again you fling insults but you cannot justify your claims. academics does play a huge role in things like critical thinking. which is the number one subject our society needs to take in my opinion because atheists arguments are full of falacies, which in a debate are thrown out as unsubstantial. schooling makes a huge difference my friend.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 We all know academic studies are important, however your public comments display very deep ignorance (Hitler was atheist, atheists have beliefs, atheism is a religion, people turn to god because they want to die (not fear of it), etc.) regardless of your 'training', you are no scholar. Of course you don't like me saying that about you, consider it insulting, but what else is it? Ignorance is the correct word. You should be ashamed. Get facts, reality, not vague ideas.
STUDY!!
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge ... the reason why its important to have academics, is because it allows one to challenge the typical thinking on subjects and gives one access to more resources and information. i would contend that my opinion is based on resources that you have never even seen. you typically like most sheep, regergitate what your seeing in mainstream work. that is why you are in fact the one who is ignorant. if you truly believe that hitler was a christian, then you show some serious flaws.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 What sources for you have for this info I haven't read? Hitler claimed to be a xtian just like you, you just don't like him. I don't blame you, but face the fact. It's NOT a belief. I already pointed that out to you. Beliefs are not based on fact. The other crap you have stated has no basis in fact either. The value of academics is challenging by PROVABLE FACT. YOU are simply regurgitating tired old vague ideas without having factual evidence, you plainly reject science and history
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge well as a college student who got mostly honors in history, i doubt very much that i reject history or sceince. and your asking me to sum up my 4 years of college consisting of hundreds of hours of work, in a youtube comment.. seriously wake up. to argue my point it would take several papers. and a couple years to help you understand how history works! and frankly your mind just isnt ready to learn because it is such a closed system.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 I never once asked you to sum up four years here. Four more years and hundred more hours and you still will have no evidence that Hitler was an atheist, and most any real scholar could show that easily. Even within 500 characters. History is rational, and real historians, not xtian apologists, are generally in agreement, you try to make it seem as mysterious and vague as the ideas you believe in.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge o please... you just spout nonsense.. im done giving you advice lol... hitler had evolutionary experiments. and as I said he can call himself whatever he wants, that doesnt mean he is. i can call myself michael jackson, would you believe me? of course not, because im nothing like him. just as hitler among others is nothing like a christian, thus he is not.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 You may please stop giving advice until you learn to think critically, to be able to back up what you say with factual evidence rather than the vague ideas you happen to believe in. Having evolutionary experiments is no proof someone is an atheist. As a matter of fact, only the most extremely backwards and ignorant splinter groups of xtianity don't accept it. Even the great whore has finally learned to accept science, just some of her bastard daughters haven't.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@BigG99 Apparently, you think you are better than Hitler, your sins aren't bad as his, so he doesn't qualify to be xtian. Just where does xtianity say how much sin is too much? He was never excommunicated and you don't have the authority to judge him. He claimed to believe in and call on the lord. I'd say you are xtian, but aren't M.Jackson - again your lack of critical thinking. History shows xtians have always made war, murder and cruelty, Hitler was just following his church's long example.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge yes actually i can say that i am without a doubt less sinful then hitler lol.. i didnt order the murder of millions of jews thus i have the right to cast the first stone.. sure we all have faults but hitler was infamous for them. not to emntion im not judging him by my thought, but by the scripture, read the bible and youll discover very quickly how off hitler really was. oh and by the way stalin a known atheist killed 10 million people. so i guess atheists poop dont stink.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Maybe you are more pure than Hitler was. You still have no authority to judge him by scripture either, xtianity does not reside within your whim or interpretation. And still no evidence he was atheist. Xtians kill in the name of xtianity. Stalin was atheist but killed in the name of communism, not atheism, again severe lack of critical thinking. Throwing 1st stones doesn't become you xtians, esp. when you think you have that right, as you usually do.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge actually sccording to scripture i do have the right to make that call on hitler, not because of my wisdom, but simply because of Gods word itself. im not judging anybody, God is by his word. If you ever took critical thinking in college you would understand that worldviews play a huge role in ones actions. atheism for instance fits well with communism and thus the ties that stalin has to atheism cannot be seperated from his actions. it would be a fallacy to say so.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Maybe your scriptures do let you have the right to throw stones, our constitution does, but your calling Hitler an atheist is still unfounded. Stalin's cruelty would result from "priestly" abuse he received in his childhood, more than his atheism, which was also possibly a result of the same abuse rather than his having given it any serious deep philosophical consideration, but who knows? No matter if you took critical thinking you're not practicing it well; come on, you can do better.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@BigG99 But WHAT IF IT DID come from Stalins atheism? the fact that a psycopath claimed to be an atheist doesn't affect the price of eggs in China. Xtianity has still been the biggest known cause of untold suffering, torture, murder, war, and genocide in history, right through the 20th century and still in action today, Islam rapidly catching up. Neither have others, like Hinduism and Buddhism been innocent, but maybe some choose to throw stones where perceived to be the most evil, at xtianity.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@BigG99 For good critical thinking, mostly avoid generalities and vague ideas as points, you know, try to focus a bit more specifically. Communism is a politcal philosophy that is imposed upon its subjects as (an atheistic) religion, and believed in as such, but (as I've shown), atheism is NOT a religion, and there is no particular philosophy of atheists, but rather it provides space for many different ones - by NOT positing unfounded beliefs that are exclusive to other ideas
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge except for one very specific belief that is unfounded in atheism, is the belief that there is no GOd. that is a claim that is unfounded and has yet to be decided. it would be irrational to die fighting on that hill when its not founded. it most certainly is a religious belief that takes a huge level of faith to hold to as it cannot be proven that God doesnt exist.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Your thinking goes bad to worse. Atheism has no belief "that there is no god" but rather does NOT believe in god or other unsubstantiated belief. I don't know why you claim to be able to think critically when you can't see this, that is NOT critical thinking at all. It takes NO faith to NOT believe. You like to publically display your delusional thinking? Repeatedly you display it, and cannot see what is written before your face. Who ever 'martyred' for atheism? it's NOT a belief
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@BigG99 This tactic is used over and over by xtians and other non-critical thinkers, to just keep repeating the same non-sense again and again. As if in the repeating of it, it somehow gains more credibility. It doesn't, it just makes you look more foolish when you repeat the same baseless beliefs without being able to substantiate them. It is up the the believers to substantiate their fantastic claims, god, santa clause, etc. rather than up to those who don't believe to disprove their ideas.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge ya i have heard that rubbish before. you "believe" there is no God thus you hold a belieftoo that you must justify. Christians have made their argument for proof in a God. if the complexity and amazing order of the universe isnt enough for ya, then your living in a fantasy world. life didnt come from a rock, and things dont just appear out of thin air. seems logical to me seeings how we observe that fact everyday. we were obviously created.
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 You are obviously impervious to whatever education you may have received as well as to critical thinking. The repeating of the stupid idea you have stuck between your ears over and over claiming that atheists have beliefs holds no water and gains no credibility. Xtians and other believers may have their arguments but they break down under critical scrutiny. Atheists arguments have not been refuted, you have no proof. You display intellectual dishonest, and you know it.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge oh please if you serious believe that atheists have no specific belief system that they hold to then your rediculous. all thats missing is one of your disciples of atheism has yet to write them down on paper and make a book. call your bible as it were. if you had no strong religious beliefs you wouldnt be on here arguing with me. in fact perhaps the most disturbing and fanatical views of the "new atheist" is there belief that religion is evil. you are your own monster
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Atheism has been around longer than any religion in existence, yet we have never written an 'atheist's bible' which should in itself be ample evidence for any thinking person right there. There have always been Bright people who know better than to believe.
And rather than just a fanatical "new atheist" view, religion has LONG been known by irrefutable factual evidence to be just about the biggest source of evil in the world (outside of ignorance, which religion depends on).
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@BigG99 You can atttempt to stretch your mind into more logical thinking, I would advise it, and you cannot hide your intellectual dishonesty behind your ignorance, it has well been detected. You would have more luck finding crediblity in your church, rather than the general public where you might often run across people who actually accept evidential facts instead of believe in unproven vague ideas as answers. Our "bible" is called 'Science' and 'History' among other important sholarship.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge you fail to realize that science and especially history are as much up to imterpretation as anything. your sure footing on the matter is foolish. historians especially will tell you that much of history needs interpretation. and no evidence interprets itsself. it is all determined within a certain framework. i am tired fo talking with you. your closed mind is the very thing stopping you from seeing "the facts". i wil not respond to you anymore because it gets a person nowhere
BigG99 1 year ago
@BigG99 Thank you, your comments are unnecessary here since they are not based on reason. We understand the framework within which history and science are interpreted, but no where near as much as the vague ideas of your theology and delusions are. History doesn't need be twisted into accommodating incredible and outdated religious ideas, most disingenious.
delusion:
- noun
a fixed false belief that is resistant to reason or confrontation with actual fact
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago

Be fulfilled as a human being.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Ok I get it, there is no God, nothing matters, when I die I will cease to exist, love is an illusion, beauty is an illusion, there is no such thing as free will, there is no such thing as objective morality, Mother teresa fought in vain, Adolf Hitler got away with it, there is no hope for humanity... ok I got it.. I feel much better now.
Limbsy 1 year ago

Limbsy 1 year ago
@Limbsy Well, you comment certainly makes it APPEAR that you are stupid. I haven't tried to make life something it isn't, I'm quite happy and in love with life. The universe may eventually die, we don't have evidence for what will eventually happen. But YOU will die, so you better try and learn how to live and get the most out of every day and every moment, because your hopes may never come to pass. No one knows what happens to anyone after we die. Better live for NOW! It is the greatest gift!!
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
Yes, that is the story, or part of it. But the story wasn't just vaguely 'played' with, the true story is part of history and can be studied by those who care to make the effort. If you seek the 'real' prophet behind the story, you need look no further than Apollonius of Tyana. His story (through Marcion) was made into "Jesus" (and "Paul") by the nasty liars of the Nicean Council, and thereby created the catholic church, the Great Whore of Babylon and her bastard daughters.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge Our understanding of Jesus is not based on the verdict given by the council of Nicea in 325 AD, rather quite different from it. We neither consider Jesus to be God, or his literal son or part of Him or anything like it. Rather a true prophet of God who was a human being and who came for the guidance for the Jews of his time. To us he came for the Israelites and he reached to all the 12 tribes of Israel before he died. You have every right to hold your views though.

@stud3323 Maybe instead it is time for you to wake up and join the rest of humanity.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
No, Jesus DIDN'T Pass Away, he never existed in the first place. That was a lie put in place by the deceivers at Nicea. Sadly for you moslems, the koran is mistaken, in that it has bought into those lies, really just making it another form of a xtian 'heresy'.
The whole thing is flawed, even the 'old testament' is a bunch of made up fables by the babylonians.
Lies, based on lies, based on even older lies. It is time to get rid of the silly lies and live our lives on evidence and facts.
paisleyatlarge 1 year ago
@paisleyatlarge I do agree that there are many things in the Bible who were played with here and there. That doesn't mean that everything in it is flawed and based on lies. If you want to completely reject even the existance of Jesus, then I can't say much, but my understanding of the evidence and facts available is that Jesus was a human being who came as a prophet for the guidance of Jews of his time. You have every right to have your own views though.

@paisleyatlarge you just say that cause you dont want to believe in the truth and religion cause its just easier you dont want to pray and you dont want to follow the truth
RealRapAndHiphp 1 year ago
