They're Chinese lanterns - search for them on here, they're really easy to make and float in the sky and are light enough for the wind to move them around. I was duped and thought they were UFO's!
i seen the exact same thing in liverpool on two separate nights. first night there was just one. then i seen 4 maybe 5 together at once on new yrs eve. propa wierd
