They Then Tried to stop the British military from their important drills, So which is more important a Force intended to save people by killing people, or an malorganized bunch of people who want to leave a country defenseless, an aspect that the Russian would enjoy. How about dumping precious coal over a coal burning plant, in which would create a bomb because when coal dust is burnt it creates a powerful bomb, much like those of a Sugar related plant, like marshmellows.
GreenPeace, sorry actually that doesn't deserve capitals, green peace has tried to destroy the US economy, by sending a petition to Obama to stop the new addition to an oil line, which will improve the economy, not good enough? green peace has stormed and invaded a Nucleur Reactor, pressing all the big buttons, as in the ones that fire a neutron into the Uranium, ultimatly creating a nuke, how about trying to destroy foreign economies by stealing and destroying their businesses.
@cutchaotic Why don't you try coming up with an original post you fucking idiot. You made that same post on at least five other vids. Stop being a troll.
@popceed so you are saying that it is impossible for two separate anti-whaling groups to be rammed by the whalers that they are pissing off? That is dumb.
@popceed Obviously you have no clue about these two groups. GP wants nothing to do with SSCS. Anyone who thinks different is a moron for not checking their facts.
@MrConsumerWhore1 What a bullshit comment, made by someone who's account is no longer active. Your comments are what those in support of whaling do, to try and sway popular opinion: They post lies as if they are facts.
Ya know, when people come on here and make retarded, inflammatory comments that serve no purpose, it really doesn't piss me off.
Why?
Well, what these retarded morons don't realize is, more comments drive up my video's ratings within the YT network which increases the frequency this video is brought up as a YT Suggestion. That means more people will get the chance to see this video! ROFL!
@101Osprey101 yeah but the funny thing is, not everyone knows this is going on, i didnt until i watched it, and the more people watch it, the worse the rep will get, cos people wont just watch this and do nothing, so ROFL to u bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@crosbijd01 Wow. Your complete command of the English language is astounding. Good thing you got that there exclamation mark button too. Otherwise I might not have taken your comment seriously. Thank you for your wonderful input. Love the way you place the word "moron", right where a signature is placed. Kinda speaks for itself.
Take some advice: Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak, and remove all doubt.
@101Osprey101 hahahahahaha, ur soo funny, and i think another thing thats funny is that u are the only person commeting on my comments rudely, whereas there are alot of people that are disagreeing with u, so take some advice urself and go get on with ur own sad life rather than buttinf into other peopels
@crosbijd01 Of course people will disagree with me. I have no problem having an intelligent, open-minded discussion with those people. The reason I responded rudely to you, is because you did the same to me. BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want an intelligent discussion, I would love one. Come in here calling names and all you will get is me, returning the favor.
You are a piece of shit and a troll. "...How would you like it if I can to your place of work and keep slapping stragers cocks out of your mouth! ...Suck it all you Star Trek utopian living liberals. The reason you have the right to preach all you bs is because of guys like me that fight for freedom while you hide behind your mommas skirt"
You're not the only one to serve. I just don't act like the rest of the country should kiss my ass. Go drink another beer and wallow in your self pity.
fuck the whales! whales are not more important that humans! not to long ago a whale washed up on a beach (forget which one) on Long Island. Some stupid sea hugger group tried to save the whale but they failed of corse. These idiots didn't know if a whale washs up on a beach it means its dieing so leave it alone and get over it!
@pennyf9 better yet, fuck you! This has nothing to do with whales washing up on beaches. This has nothing to do with natural processes. Get a clue you fucking moron, Go troll elsewhere.
@101Osprey101 I know it has noyhing to do with this video, I was just saying that some people will care more for a whale dieing on the beach than a human (I get very cursy whenit come to this.)
@pennyf9 my concerns regard people that think they can have anything they want, and damn the consequences. The whales hunted by Japan, swim in waters belonging to other countries than Japan. Japan has no right to hunt these animals to the point where they can barely survive. These animals are not Japanese property and should not be treated as such.
Beyond that, my personal view (and most of the world's population's view) is that no whale should be hunted.
@101Osprey101 Really? I could give a flying fuck about a stupid whale! It's all jobs and food in Japan! How would you like it if I can to your place of work and keep slapping stragers cocks out of your mouth! Greenpeace and the Sea Shepard are terrorist, and are luck Japan is taking a passive aggressive candy ass roll with their actions. Only reason I watch whale wars is for the hope that Japan finally says fuck these guys and loads up on torpedos and muchine guns and sinks them assholes
@levi79 Here is another thought your small brain can't grasp:
Japan's real problem is over-population. They can't sustain their population with only local (Japanese) products. They steal from the world's supply. The whales they hunt swim in areas of the ocean owned by the U.S. (as well as other countries). We also are facing over-population issues which will increase. What if some day WE need whales to survive?
Maybe cannibalism is the answer. We can start with you. lol
@levi79 walk in talkin' tough and walk out talkin' shit. What exactly did you expect to accomplish here? And yet I am the idiot? Fuck your pansy ass. Go brag about something you probably didn't even do, and convince yourself of your superiority. Oh yeah, and keep posting comments. :)
@101Osprey101 Brag about something I dont even do? Hmmm, yeah I cant find any of that anywhere! Your Ideaa are distorted. But what should I expect from somebody supporting a terrorist group such as Greenpeace or that Whale Wars dingbat. Yes they are a terror based group ramming ship illegally boarding, trying to disable props. It's all piracy!! Now you talk about what japan is doing blah blah blah over populated stealing whales that we might need to eat if we become over populated. Choose a side
@levi79 While I will agree Japan is over populated. The U.S. so far is not to the point where we have to go after whale meat yet. But Were prob not far off because of others with distorted beliefs like your. Oh Luna the beef cow has feelings and has just as many rights as a human. "WTF" Cows are part of the food chain it's not our fault were on the top! Or when E.L.F. blows up or burns down a dairy farm because it's sooooo tramatizing to extract milk from a cow.
@levi79 I am not about to fight for every cause out there. And like you, I don't believe in all of them, While I would not agree with it, if the whales were bred and raised in captivity, with the intention of their eventual slaughter for food, I (personally) would not make an issue of it. Their country, they can do what they want in their country. My big concern is that natural whale populations cannot withstand modern commercial whaling. This was proven in the first half of the 20th century.
@101Osprey101 Well why dont you rally a cause to show Japan how to start a whale farm? The way anti-whaling is being carried out now is wrong and dangourus. People shouldnt be in such a hurry to destroy somebody's lively hood. Leason learned is here in the States look at the timber, steel, aluminum, and minning industries all destroyed by freak out reaction. Now look at whats happend rise in crimes, drugs, poverty, schools, hospitals, staes are all outt of money!
@levi79 I don't have knowledge of each area, but I live in timber country in a small (once) logging and fishing community. The "freak out" reaction against logging old growth was justified. Did you know that when Oregon was first logged, most of the state was covered with forest. NOW... Most of the state is high desert-like. It will take hundreds, if not thousands of years for some of the areas to be forested again,
@levi79 How Ironic you should say that. You clicked on this video and watched it, knowing full well you weren't going to like it. Then you go with the knee-jerk reaction and start acting like an ass who is the only one who's opinion matters. You have made judgments of me based upon very little information and really, you are WAY off. There are things we will never agree on. Who's to say which opinion is right, and and which is wrong? What validates one over the other? And why?
@levi79 The decision whether or not to hunt whales is a moral issue. Like it or not, the majority of the world does not share your views. So who's ideas are distorted? Sea Shepherd has never been charged with any crime, in any country. Not even Japan. So how can they be called terrorists? SSCS is operating within international laws put in place by the IWC in 1985. And the only "views' of mine you are familiar with, concern whales. You don't know shit about me. STFU
@101Osprey101 I'm sure there's a good majority of the world that does. because Japan is still whaling! Your retort is very lawer and scripted. How many times did you watch the Whale Wars clip were Paul Watson gives the very same speech? So by the same theory if SSCS is operting within the law Then wouldnt the Japanese be operating within the law also? Dont be so sensitive you resort to 5yr old statments "You don't know shit about me. STFU: Really dude? Dont tell on me to my Mom!
@levi79 Look at the comments on this page. Are most people for, or against whaling? I can EASILY prove that point. And if you think my retort is "...very lawyer and scripted", you need to get out more. And scripted or not, it's the truth. Whale Wars? Well... if you will look at the date of this video's posting, you will see it was from before there even was Whale Wars. I don't have network TV. I don't watch Whale Wars. Sorry.
@101Osprey101 if your so pissed off at greenpeace for not stopping the whaling, why dont you get a little boat and go out and stop it yourself? greenpeace has made more of a difference than you ever will and your knocking them? you sir, are the hypocrite.
@wild1033 How am I the hypocrite? I Don't take people's money under the pretense of usingit for a purpose for which it is not even used. GP even agreed (along with WWF and the PEW foundation) to a resumption of limited whaling in return for Japan reducing their annual quota. So who is the hypocrite? Me for showing my support of SSCS, or GP for lying about their desire to stop whaling? And if you support GP, then you know that one don't need to be in a boat to make a difference.
Or they get a bunch of over priced lawers (back by millionare terror supporters like Bob Barker, Trudy Irwin, Reese Witherspoon, and what ever Hollywood weenie) to tie up some company wanting to expand or put in an agriculture based industry. Enviromentalist at one time in history mighta been good by now they have crossed the line and are not only terrorist but are extremely damaging to the economy. I'm willing to say that job loss due to enviro's is over a million.
@levi79 You really are clueless if you think agriculture is the answer to all our problems. You have no idea at all how devastating farming is to the environment. Especially modern techniques. We are over-populated. WORLD WIDE. You are lucky not to have felt the effects. Japan, not so lucky. Still doesn't give them the right to take something that does't belong to them.
@101Osprey101 Then what is the answer? Even if areas werent our over populated. What would be your arguement? Who cares about Japan eating whales, or what evere the hell they do with them? Seems to me there's enough for them to be going out year after year. I'm sure if everybody had an organic garden in their yard youd bitch about that to for some crazy reason. Maybe in your next life you can come back as an earthworm of course then youd prob start an uprising about birds and people fishing.
Japan has an industry for their people leave them alone. I'm sure in your world everybody in the world should have a job @ Google or painting rainbows and passing out glitter and have such a high cultured life. But the world dont turn like that. Food and supplies dont just magically appear in Wal-Mart. Your plastics are patrolem based. Your house is made os wood, and your electricty comes from some sort of fish/bird killing, water diverting, 300ft eye sore, plationum pruduceing facility.
@levi79 Cannibalism. It really is the best answer. Reduces populations and feeds the masses. I am sure you can guess which income level will be at "The Last Supper" though.
the fact that we have the intelegance to see cause and effect means that we have the responsability of taking accountability, and if those who take past what nature can supply must take accountablity, some people seem to think that being intelegent and motirvated enough to build a boat and a harpoon means he has the right to tip the ballance of natures sustainability is infinitesimaly ignorant and is part of the human virus. Man its time to see past this problem
@KingP1n81 In your opinion, what makes a whale less valuable than a human? Why do humans have a greater right to survival? One could argue that humans have done far more destruction to this planet than whales, so why should the one perish, in order to sustain the other?
When do we stop? At what point do we realize that we can't continue? The sad truth is, humans are over -populated by at least half. I just hope we leave something behind besides lifeless ruin.
@crosbijd01 i dont think that would happen since my family does not consist of whales. i guess we can just quit fishing anything in the ocean and humans can just starve to death. roughly 75 million tons of animals are consumed annually from the ocean. its the way of life. get over it.
sadly its not he sea shepards they dont like- It's paul whatson. The first man to be kicked out of greenpeace. Leave old rivalrys behind Greenpeace, and help other organizations out with a cause u believe in. Instead of standinding around and watching it continue
My uninformed theory? Saying my theory is uniformed doesn't make it so. And it's not my theory anyways, it's the theory of a large group of biological evolutionary scientists.
The only thing I brought on myself was a page of trying to explain something to someone who doesn't want to hear anything that contradicts what they thought was true.
@101Osprey101 As frustrating as it may be, and at the same time make him and/or you feel my information is coming straight from my ass, if neither of you has the time to actually research the popular theories on the evolution of the human brain before making comments on the subject that are MOST certainly straight from your ass, I definitely don't have time to do it for you.
It takes me about 30 seconds to type this. It would take anywhere from 15 minutes to hours to give you what you want.
@101Osprey101 I would take this as a sign that perhaps there is more information out there on the subject and if you wish to learn about it then search. I doubt someone like Sidlexic wants to find out if he's wrong about something, and would never search for said information.
@fatsomamacheese Honestly, this is stupid and you are a troll. There are scientists that support religious freaks views that the world is only 5000 years old, if you look hard enough. Your view is retarded no matter who else shares it with you. I guarantee there are far more scientists in favor of protecting what we have, than just saying "Fuck it, it doesn't matter anyway." You and I don't agree. I get it. I won't delete your comments. Go away now.
@101Osprey101 You're right, scientists themselves can be wrong, biased, etc. That's why you have to research the information for yourself instead of ignoring it and pretending it's wrong automatically because it disagrees with your opinion. That's called objectivity.
And scientists supporting saving the earth is not contradictory to scientists supporting the theory that protein from meat helped the human brain evolve to be larger. But that doesn't change the fact it doesn't matter.
@101Osprey101 So keep fighting the good fight, make new laws, create birthing laws, create laws to kill off prisoners, laws to kill off old people, w/e. It won't matter. It will do nothing to stop the fact that everything we do here will be ash one day, and no matter how hard you try to save species that evolution chose for extinction you cannot stop nature.
But you SHOULD delete my comments. Complete your path to complete close-mindedness to anything that contradicts your opinion...
@fatsomamacheese I'm sorry, but your argument is, in my opinion, the dumbest argument I never imagined anyone actually subscribing to. If this is truly your belief, then it only stands to reason that mass murderers are just doing the world a favor. So what has stopped you from playing with the Kool-Aid at the Sunday Social? And if you actually don't care about the world and the life on it, then why are you arguing such a stupid point and wasting my time? Just live your apathetic life in peace.
@101Osprey101 I do care. I'm simply pointing out the obvious. You have assumed my position because I'm playing devil's advocate.
I don't want to die. I don't want whales to die. I don't want the earth to be burned away. But there are two ways to look at it. There is either some divine purpose for us being here, experiencing life. Or there isn't and everything is a natural process.
My main problem is when people think of man as nothing special, yet still separate us from that natural process.
@101Osprey101 If the universe was created with the intent of us evolving in it, then we are special. Good and Evil exist, etc and we should try to be good. If the universe spontaneously created itself due to two membranes colliding and all this exists just because it does, there is no good or evil, and man killing off this planet is natural. Man also trying to fight against that is natural, but the reasoning behind it is ignorant.
@101Osprey101 My argument seems dumb because it is carrying out said position to it's final point. You can't believe we are a part of nature, nothing more special than any other organism, then act like what we do is somehow different than nature itself. That makes NO sense whatsoever. Our ability to reason allows us to have motivation to do things that other organisms don't. But it's faulty reasoning unless you actually think there is something different about us.
@101Osprey101 On the subject of whether or not the scientific consensus is that protein from meat allowed the human brain to evolve to be larger and more intelligent...on THAT subject I am not playing devil's advocate. I am simply repeating what men and women more knowledgeable on the subject than you and I agree on.
@fatsomamacheese My original intent with this video, was to show what I felt was a ridiculous hypocrisy displayed by Greenpeace. I believe whales are an incredible creature that deserve to be protected during the time of humans. Why do I feel that way? WHO CARES WHY?
What is your intent with your postings here? I am just curious because so much of what you have posted has nothing to do with what this video was actually about.
@fatsomamacheese If you have not noticed, I don't delete a comment just because I don't agree with it. I respect differing views. That's how people learn (hopefully). If you are playing devil's advocate, thats fine. But your argument is still one I don't agree with. Even though I DO accept that, yes, people will eventually no longer exist on this planet, and we are all a part of "nature" over which, ultimately, we have no control. I just hope we leave something behind to live or die on it's own.
the crew of the steve irwin are irresponsible jack ass loseres. It sucks the killing the whale part....but the japanese have are not in the wrong...Terroristic actions that accutually do threatn the health/lives of the nishin fleet, mixed with the over dramatic whining turned me off the steve, HUMAN life is more important (what if it was your mom/dad/bro/sis) and they are merely doing what is well with in the legal rights....screw the steve irwin crew and their puss captain.
@SuperStickay Who are you to judge that human life of more value than non-human life? And while the Japanese may take whales legally, they can not take them in an established sanctuary. Let them raise them i Japan for food if that is what they want. I wouldn't agree with it, but it would be their legal right. The whales they currently hunt are whales that swim in the same waters that are less than 2 miles from my home. What gives the Japanese more rights to them than me?
wow!! someone doesnt have their facts straight.aside from the teriostic tactics that steve irwin uses, which actually HAVE braught harm to the crew working on the japanesse ships. The japanesse are not doing anything that is illegal. OR THE GOVERNMENT would do something about it.not a bunch of losers with too much time and not enough balls. Boarding a ship like pirates...ILLEGAL (steve irwin crew have illegaly borded the japensse ships TWICE). Throwing acid at the deck full of HUMAN lives.......
@SuperStickay What harm has been caused? And how exactly are you aware of it? Have the Japanese had their lives put in serious jeopardy from rotten butter? By the way, Ketchup is more acidic than butyric acid.
Also nice to note that your account is new which leads me to believe you are in fact, a whaler trying to make it seem as if there are others who honestly believe your lies about Japan being the ones wronged.
Just another lame whaling tactic used to discredit.
What's funny is nothing will ever come of any of this, because the people who are against legal whaling aren't willing to do what it takes to stop it. They want to throw flash grenades at them and ram their boats from the side and then fake getting shot. If Sea Shepherds weren't all about viewers, maybe they would have done something right instead of flopping about helplessly and wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars while not saving a single whale to date.
@fatsomamacheese According to the Japanese, they were far under quota due to SSCS. So, I guess they must be doing something. You may also want to start delving into the political and social aspects as well, to see what they are up against. SSCS also operates within the confines of international law. Very limiting in some respects. If I had my way: One boat, one torpedo. Do my best not to hurt anyone. SSCS does make a difference, however small it may be in some cases. Who else does? Greenpeace?
I have been supporting SSCS since long before their TV show. The show is not their primary purpose, but it does give exposure to what they are doing. It wasn't all that long ago that the majority of the people in the world agreed that whales should not be killed. People need to see that it is still going on.
@101Osprey101 You would risk human life to save whale life. You're a murderer then, and worse than the japanese whalers. One boat one torpedo? Killing is killing.
Of course, you could just look at it through the eyes of evolution. If a species isn't able to survive another species as intelligent as us, then they should have evolved. You either believe man is different than nature, in which case you must believe murder is spiritually wrong, or you must believe man is nature.
@fatsomamacheese I view the hunting of whales in the same way most people view the Holocaust. And were I alive during that tragic time, and had the means to take down Hitler, the answer would be the same. I see no difference. I view ALL life as sacred, and sometimes, sad as that may be, we have to remove one, to save many.
@101Osprey101 If whales have not evolved to survive our species, THEN THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO BE HERE. Now you and others like you might save them, thus making us a species that wasn't meant to finish off whales, which like I said will just mean we get to stick around longer. But we will keep multiplying, and keep growing, until there is a choice between people dying or an animal species dying off...On that day you will understand what I mean when I say it's all part of the natural process.
This may be deleted again so I'll say it again GFU. So you are saying Jews are equal to whales? Bad argument you POS, and did I mention 101Osprey101, GFU!
@MrJerony Don't worry, I won't delete your retarded comment. I don't care what you think about my comparison. Once again I will say that I respect all life, be it Jewish or whale. Grow up and stop making something out of nothing. What happened during WW2 to the Jewish people was horrible. What has and is happening to the whales is horrible. Attempted genocide for each, thanks to a self-centered, self-indulgent, megalomaniac society.
@101Osprey101 It's a difficult pill to swallow, but it's fact. If men are nature, then what we do is natural. That also means trying to stop whaling is natural, but logically it doesn't make sense to kill a man rather than a whale. All they are doing is trying to make money to feed their kids. Those workers on those boats that you want to torpedo...they have children. Would you torpedo their children too to save an animal that evolution hasn't helped survive?
@fatsomamacheese At the current population, man is a plague on this planet. Find one scientist that thinks the earth is NOT overpopulated by the human race. The general consensus is that we are overpopulated by at least half. I feel no pity for those that have children when they have no means to support those children. And no, I do not have children.
@101Osprey101 And if we are overpopulating the earth (which I agree we are), who's fault is that? If you accept evolution then you have no choice but to accept that it is a natural process. We are overpopulating the earth because of that natural process. In other words, a scientist saying we are overpopulating means we are harming other species by consuming too much, yet this is all by a natural process and us trying to mess with that process is against the laws of nature.
@101Osprey101 People having multiple kids is their choice, and it's natural. You don't have kids, good for you, you won't raise anyone to carry on your beliefs that we are overpopulating the earth. While the people who have 8 kids and no thoughts towards that are continuing to multiply and pass on those sentiments. It's natural. Should we create laws to stop people from multiplying? Should we sterilize people? Are whales that important? What if whales "overpopulate"?
@101Osprey101 See the problem with people like you is you think of man as something different than nature. It's an instict of man to think of himself as different, better or worse than the entire rest of the natural process. But the truth is we are no different. When a lion kills a buffalo to eat, we're not saddened, we say it's natural. Do you think lions care if they kill off all the buffalo? No. Only man does, because we think a species going extinct is something new.
@101Osprey101 Even though 98% of all species that have ever existed are gone...naturally. If lions kill off all the buffalo, the lion goes next, and so on and so forth. If man overpopulates to the point that all the animals are gone, we will go next. So in truth, it's a selfish endeavor to "save the whales". You're really only trying to save yourself, protect the balance. But nature isn't always balanced, and trying to tip it back to even is messing with the natural process.
@fatsomamacheese I see your beliefs as well as you see mine. On one level, you do understand, and on another, you don't. Same here. I do agree with you on some points, but not to the same degree. I think your thoughts are self-serving. On your channel, I see that you thrive on conflict. Read all of the comments and show me something positive. At least your shit throwing seems to have some thought, but you might try looking at the world in a less confrontational manner.
@fatsomamacheese Actually, I can find a lot wrong with it, from my point of view. I just don't think my point of view, is the ONLY point of view. I personally think your arguments are selfish. You say my argument is "...a selfish endeavor..." but in truth, my actions would benefit far more than your actions. Mine, preserves for future generations. Yours, consumes all at whatever rate the truly selfish decide.
Move to an island, consume all of the resources without care, see how long you survive.
@101Osprey101 Exactly...you're selfish. You're trying to save the whales so you have a nice environment. When human beings are no longer meant to survive, it will be people like you who will be hanging on, fighting against the natural order of things. You just can't accept the fact that one day we will go extinct. So save the whales, live in a bubble, protect everything, resist all natural change...I'll be busy living my life.
@fatsomamacheese Are you actually saying we should just let people be people so that they will die off faster, thus allowing the next stage of evolution to begin? Just curious, where do you live (in general)? I am on the S. Oregon Coast.
@101Osprey101 Yup. We'll either kill each other off trying to stop the natural process, or we'll kill all the animals because there are too many of us to live off of them and plants anymore. It's inevitable. Really the only solution will be to enforce restrictions on people and take away their freedom...basically take away their right to have children, which I'm sure you would love. So we either enslave people, or we kill them, or we all die in the long term.
@fatsomamacheese Unique opinion. Why don't you show how altruistic you are, and just kill yourself now? You call me selfish? You had best look up the definition. You are just using evolution as an excuse to do whatever you want, and fuck anyone else. Have a nice day.
@101Osprey101 Like I said, the only solution is to enforce restrictions on people (or just have then killed as you wish me to do). You don't have a counter argument to me, so you insult me again and again. It doesn't hurt my feelings, it's quite expected. It's not easy to realize that our existence is temporary, that this planet is temporary, that one day every organism that ever lived on this planet will be dead and the sun will have swallowed it whole in a supernova.
Not the only solution... You guys ignored the entire issue of why we hunt animals. FOR FOOD. The easy solution to all of this is a vegetarian diet. You can obtain more than enough of what the body needs. It also requires a small fraction of the land required to make the same amount of food for a meat diet. Less emissions, less killing, more land, less fat people, no activists... Just convincing americans to get the taste of bacon fat out of their mouth is the problem.
@Sidlexic Several things wrong with what you said:
Protein rich meat is the natural diet for human beings. We did not evolve eating plants. We evolved eating meat. It is NOT biologically natural to be a vegetarian.
And there is not enough land on the earth right now to feed its populations without the use of genetically altered plants. NOT possible.
And I'm pretty sure bacon is not American only, perhaps you should go outside. Enforcing a vegan diet would cause global revolutions and death
You're hilarious, take everything to the ultimate extreme... Yes, I'm definitely a lying idiot trying to implement a conspiracy that will throw the world into CHAOS by the way of the HORRID vegetarian diet!! OMG! muahahah!...
PS- do some research, you don't need GMO and you can get more protein per pound out of some veg than you can per pound of meat. We evolved eating plants AND meat (Omnivore), check out what molar teeth are for.
@Sidlexic "We evolved eating plants AND meat (Omnivore)" Our brain evolving to the size it is, you know the thing that made us the alpha predator on the planet, came from meat, not plants. There is empirical data to support this. If you would like to disagree with it, understand it's not my opinion you're disagreeing with. You're disagreeing with widely accepted science.
@Sidlexic I never said you were trying to implement a conspiracy. I said forcing a vegan diet on the world would cause huge backlash. Not America, the world...since you know it's not just those fat americans that eat bacon.
It's not the ultimate extreme, it's the logical conclusion. You will never convince people to not eat meat and you cannot force them unless you'd like to create laws to do so and even then it would just cause death and illegal meat trade. It's retarded and pointless.
@Sidlexic "You're hilarious" Or backed by science. But if scientific fact is hilarious to you, then by all means, laugh. We could solve it all if we just went vegan though right? lol...
Jesus you're an idiot. Say something substantial man, not some bull you pulled from thin air. Maybe if you ate less meat you wouldn't be such a meathead! haha! ... god i'm funny.
Show me your "empirical data", stop throwing "scientific fact" around like it legitimizes your own theories. (msg me links to legitimate sites)
Also, you should learn the difference between vegan and vegetarian.
@Sidlexic "msg me links to legitimate sites" If you think for one second I'm going to go spend 15 minutes researching from google to find you scholarly papers that support my claim, I'll just tell you this argument and proving you wrong is not worth that to me.
I really don't give a shit if you believe me or not. Go ahead and continue to blab your personal "expert" opinion.
Why are you quoting 'expert'? I just don't like it when people preach their uninformed theories as proven scientific facts to discredit my input. You brought this on yourself.
Also, if you know so much about history, science, politics, human nature, and evolution then you should know that we don't live by a set of static, meat-eating rules. Things change and we adapt by using our, according to you, massive meat powered noggins "you know the thing that made us the alpha predator".
"Protein rich meat is the natural diet for human beings. We did not evolve eating plants. We evolved eating meat. It is NOT biologically natural to be a vegetarian."
Here's an idea; you live on a meat only diet and I will live on a veg only diet. We'll see who's alive after one month, deal? sweet
@Sidlexic "Here's an idea; you live on a meat only diet and I will live on a veg only diet. We'll see who's alive after one month, deal? sweet" You will be healthier with a vegetarian's diet. This has nothing to do with how the human brain evolved off of protein to be larger, nor did I ever state that man was ever NOT an omnivore. Vegetables were always a part of the diet, but meat, particularly after they could recreate fire and cook it to eat it faster and easier, allowed the brain to grow.
Also; even if GMO plants were to be used, it would take up less space than what is required to raise cattle (which have been genetically modified for centuries btw). EVEN LESS space if you go vegan. but nobody wants to be vegan...
@Sidlexic "even if GMO plants were to be used" Not if. You don't get it. We are already at the point that if we were not using genetically altered plants millions of people, possibly into the billions, would have starved to death ON TOP OF the millions of people that starve to death anyways around the world every year.
You're a liar, you have no real material greenpeace doing about such things, please do not continue to poison people with your stupid and senseless comments, better get to work and do something good for the world
You're a liar, you have no real material greenpeace doing about such things, please do not continue to poison people with your stupid and senseless comments, better get to work and do something good for the world
@javr87 I am a liar? Call Greenpeace and ask them yourself! It is obvious that you know NOTHING about Greenpeace. Did you know that Greenpeace has given conditional support for the resumption of whaling? And if you think that I am lying about that also, you can ask them when you call or email them. Just expect the same lame-ass form letter that they have been sending out in response to people's anger over their compromise on whaling. And don't waste your time replying to the form letter,....
I replied to it and have yet to receive a response. Greenpeace is a money machine that does not truly care about wildlife any longer. Prove me wrong before opening that hole you call a mouth, and calling me liar. Oh wait, once again I have done my homework and you can't prove me wrong. Figures....
You're a liar, you have no real material greenpeace doing about such things, please do not continue to poison people with your stupid and senseless comments, better get to work and do something good for the world
@101Osprey101 By giving away naval activity, this could harm Greenpeace operations. There is no need for this video, so i would not be surprized if you wanted worked around the fishy side of things.
@NoobsTubes Sharing the Japanese fleet location would in no way harm GP operations. And in no way have I suggested in any way, shape, or form that anything be done "around the fishy side of things". What the hell are you talking about? All I am suggesting is that conservation organizations with the same goal (saving whales) should WORK TOGETHER and quit acting like spoiled little children. And what has GP done for whales lately anyhow? Would that be, nothing besides collect money?
The is really intelligent to say. So lets keep killing making wars and do harm to all living things because that is what we've done in the pass and still doing to date. Stop hiding yourselves under the pretense of cultural beliefs... There are a lot of profit to be made in this industry and that is the main reason why still well and alive to date, we do however have other options, but hey, why spend money farming when we can just take without asking. such and idiotic excuse.
Many people really don't think before opening their mouth. Greenpeace disapproves Sea Shepherd's tactics because they sometimes get physical and have you even noticed the PEACE on GreenPEACE? I am not saying that I don't like SSCS. I also like them because they are getting aggressive knowing that just putting signs on your boats are not very effective. They know that by just doing things peacefully the dolphins and whales are going "to go the way of the dodo".
Holding up signs might help at first but at the end they will just ignor it, in other words just use force to stop them allready Greenpeace!!! :-| go sea sheperds!
@raveingdeath Best comment in months! lol Actually, i have a phobia that combines deep water and dark places... Big boulders, underwater, with dark recesses all around, freaks me out! That is why I started to surf. Face my fears...
I still get freaked near kelp and the rare sunken ship mast that may protrude.
Go figure...
Thanks for the comment, I needed a laugh after the last idiotic post.
You should respect cultural differences between western cultures and Japanese one. Historically, Japanese people eat whales for thousands of years. I believe that you are just discriminating Japanese food cultures. Nobody can decide which culture is superior than others.
@youmustbeswindler BUllshit. The Japanese were introduced to large scale whaling after losing the war. Almost all cultures have eaten whale in small quantities but Japan continues whaling just because the rest of the world wants them to stop. Prior to IWC laws, Japan annually took around 300 whales. Since IWC laws were put in effect, the kill quota is 1000. And I thought it was for research. Now you say it is for food? No country has the right to kill what is shared by the world.
Greenpeace must uphold integrity. They are non-violent and non-radical. Alot of people disagree with the sea sheppards tactics, so does greenpeace. The media can take a sentence and turn it around into 10 different meanings. What do you think the media would say about greenpeace if we shared coordinates with the sea shepherds.
omg its amazing just how uneducated you fucktards are... GREENPEACE is doing sooo much to stop there creaton japs from killing whales they are literally throwing themselves in front of the whaling fleets... GET LEARNED STUPIDS......
@genganz What are you talking about? GP did not send out even one single vessel last year. SSCS is who is throwing themselves in front of whaling fleets.
I was reading articles about various extinct and endangered species. I started to see a pattern. So many species..not all of them by any means, but many, had been hunted, by Japan, and considered an aphrodisiac by the Japanese. They somehow have the attitude, that it is their culture, their way of life. Well, I say, Sea life belongs to ALL of us. And therefore, that gives no one the right to hunt them till there are no more to hunt.
I applaud Paul Watson for leaving Greenpeace. Greenpeace stands by to "bear witness" how pathetic. When I was a kid..in the 70's, I always heard about Greenpeace. They use to get out there and do something. Not anymore. Thank goodness for SeaShepherds. I am willing to bet, Steve Erwin would most defiantly approve.
The Japs are just to arrogant, thats why they continue to whale illegally, thats why you see every argument today that envolves the illegal waleing. Funny how it Involves the Japs every time, when the wales are gorne. There is no magic wand to bring them back from the dead. The only way to see them will be through mans ability to put it on some F*#@!ing high tec disc etc, for our next generations to see.
What a f%#@ed up world, us humans have achieved ...
There's a big difference between a small group of Indigenous Eskimos in one state (Alaska) hunting Bowheads for survival not just a delicacy. It's part of their ancient cultural tradition. The entire country of Japan engages in hunting whales under the facade of "research." Obviously their is very light regulations on which species they hunt or this wouldn't be an issue if they only hunted the Minke whales.
you must be a poor guy cause you can't even guess where am i from.. lol
I'm not australian also it doesn't matter. There is no need to protect japans for what are they doing.. All world know that whaling is not for research, only 3 years old kids believe that. You empoison your own people with whale meat.. You just kills the whales..Of course you can't eat anything except "shit" You just eat earthworm, scorpion, snail, even dog.. Fuck all japans, canadians and chinese!
Japanese scientists are studying the effects of killing adult and baby whales with harpoons and then eviscerating and skinning them. Perfectly normal animal research....
And Americans are just killing Bowheads whales...50 yearly min, which by the way are on the Endangered Species List. Minke whales are not...the preferred species of Japanese whalers.
Japanese do harvest up to 10 Sperm Whales yearly that are on the ESL.
what does industrial whale killing has to do with tradition of a country? I mean, if they go out with canoes like traditionel peoples, but its like a computer game. And gaming is not traditionel.
Ah, dont even talk about. Its a crime. A disgusting crime of both: killers and consumers
As long as they say RESEARCH on there boats and ling at such and extent ..they deserve no less than what ecologist are doing to them. But even so if nobody takes legal action to prevent extreme hunting, there's no point. You save 10 whales while they kill 1000
the biggest problem i see is people believe the japanese are in the right as well as bullshit spread about aussies saying we are a bunch of roo killing rascist red necks
Yeh, i've seen them too! This one person posted a video about pictures of racist signs in Australia saying people weren't allowed to enter without being escorted by someone (most of them said Japanese), so im guessing that most of them were taken in Japan because it was obvious they werent in Australia. Some of the signs were even in 1/2 Spanish or 1/3 Russian and 1/3 Korean.. since when does that happen in Australia? The sad thing is that some Japanese actually believe it too...
The Japanese have never killed more than 440 whales total in any given year since they started he population research in 1986. And there is no legal action to take since the ICR operates within the letter of the law.
It is good (and far from hypocritical) that Greenpeace have limits as to how far they are prepared to go for their cause. ALL of the evidence I have seen of the Sea Shepherds shows them to be a disorganised, ill-prepared and immature rabble of ego-trippers who WILL end up killing someone eventually. I seriously believe Steve Irwin would be ashamed by his name being associated with the ridiculous tactics employed by these morons. And now you turn on Greenpeace. Who is being hypocritical now?
I am undecided on GP. They make great claims but do very little. Then, when they say they are out to save whales, they refuse to even openly broadcast the coords. Personally, I think if the two could be cooperative, it would be a two-prong attack. But really, has anyone heard of GP doing ANYTHING to stop whaling lately? And I don't think you have any idea how Steve Erwin would feel. His wife approved and I bet she had a good idea of how he would feel about it. And yes, SSCS isn't perfect either.
SS are like me placing my car on the road in a deliberate attempt to stop you getting to work. Eventually you're going to come at me and appear to be the aggressor, but whos really in the wrong? Well these guys are doing that without really knowing how the car or the highway code works. I'm amazed they allow half of the footage to be shown they look so bad. And as for the 'shooting'...! Good TV though. Steves wife could ve had no idea how SS would use the ship. They are true conservationists.

ROFL!
Battling stupidity - One moron at a time.

fuck the whales! whales are not more important that humans! not to long ago a whale washed up on a beach (forget which one) on Long Island. Some stupid sea hugger group tried to save the whale but they failed of corse. These idiots didn't know if a whale washs up on a beach it means its dieing so leave it alone and get over it!
pennyf9 1 year ago
@pennyf9 better yet, fuck you! This has nothing to do with whales washing up on beaches. This has nothing to do with natural processes. Get a clue you fucking moron, Go troll elsewhere.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 I know it has noyhing to do with this video, I was just saying that some people will care more for a whale dieing on the beach than a human (I get very cursy whenit come to this.)
pennyf9 1 year ago
@pennyf9 my concerns regard people that think they can have anything they want, and damn the consequences. The whales hunted by Japan, swim in waters belonging to other countries than Japan. Japan has no right to hunt these animals to the point where they can barely survive. These animals are not Japanese property and should not be treated as such.
Beyond that, my personal view (and most of the world's population's view) is that no whale should be hunted.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 Really? I could give a flying fuck about a stupid whale! It's all jobs and food in Japan! How would you like it if I can to your place of work and keep slapping stragers cocks out of your mouth! Greenpeace and the Sea Shepard are terrorist, and are luck Japan is taking a passive aggressive candy ass roll with their actions. Only reason I watch whale wars is for the hope that Japan finally says fuck these guys and loads up on torpedos and muchine guns and sinks them assholes
levi79 1 year ago
@levi79 Here is another thought your small brain can't grasp:
Japan's real problem is over-population. They can't sustain their population with only local (Japanese) products. They steal from the world's supply. The whales they hunt swim in areas of the ocean owned by the U.S. (as well as other countries). We also are facing over-population issues which will increase. What if some day WE need whales to survive?
Maybe cannibalism is the answer. We can start with you. lol

@101Osprey101 HAHAHA, Holy shit dude I quit your an idiot!!

101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 Brag about something I dont even do? Hmmm, yeah I cant find any of that anywhere! Your Ideaa are distorted. But what should I expect from somebody supporting a terrorist group such as Greenpeace or that Whale Wars dingbat. Yes they are a terror based group ramming ship illegally boarding, trying to disable props. It's all piracy!! Now you talk about what japan is doing blah blah blah over populated stealing whales that we might need to eat if we become over populated. Choose a side
levi79 1 year ago
@levi79 While I will agree Japan is over populated. The U.S. so far is not to the point where we have to go after whale meat yet. But Were prob not far off because of others with distorted beliefs like your. Oh Luna the beef cow has feelings and has just as many rights as a human. "WTF" Cows are part of the food chain it's not our fault were on the top! Or when E.L.F. blows up or burns down a dairy farm because it's sooooo tramatizing to extract milk from a cow.
levi79 1 year ago
@levi79 I am not about to fight for every cause out there. And like you, I don't believe in all of them, While I would not agree with it, if the whales were bred and raised in captivity, with the intention of their eventual slaughter for food, I (personally) would not make an issue of it. Their country, they can do what they want in their country. My big concern is that natural whale populations cannot withstand modern commercial whaling. This was proven in the first half of the 20th century.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 Well why dont you rally a cause to show Japan how to start a whale farm? The way anti-whaling is being carried out now is wrong and dangourus. People shouldnt be in such a hurry to destroy somebody's lively hood. Leason learned is here in the States look at the timber, steel, aluminum, and minning industries all destroyed by freak out reaction. Now look at whats happend rise in crimes, drugs, poverty, schools, hospitals, staes are all outt of money!
levi79 1 year ago
@levi79 I don't have knowledge of each area, but I live in timber country in a small (once) logging and fishing community. The "freak out" reaction against logging old growth was justified. Did you know that when Oregon was first logged, most of the state was covered with forest. NOW... Most of the state is high desert-like. It will take hundreds, if not thousands of years for some of the areas to be forested again,
101Osprey101 1 year ago
People need to look for a solution instead of thinking of over night reactions.
levi79 1 year ago
@levi79 How Ironic you should say that. You clicked on this video and watched it, knowing full well you weren't going to like it. Then you go with the knee-jerk reaction and start acting like an ass who is the only one who's opinion matters. You have made judgments of me based upon very little information and really, you are WAY off. There are things we will never agree on. Who's to say which opinion is right, and and which is wrong? What validates one over the other? And why?
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@levi79 The decision whether or not to hunt whales is a moral issue. Like it or not, the majority of the world does not share your views. So who's ideas are distorted? Sea Shepherd has never been charged with any crime, in any country. Not even Japan. So how can they be called terrorists? SSCS is operating within international laws put in place by the IWC in 1985. And the only "views' of mine you are familiar with, concern whales. You don't know shit about me. STFU
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 I'm sure there's a good majority of the world that does. because Japan is still whaling! Your retort is very lawer and scripted. How many times did you watch the Whale Wars clip were Paul Watson gives the very same speech? So by the same theory if SSCS is operting within the law Then wouldnt the Japanese be operating within the law also? Dont be so sensitive you resort to 5yr old statments "You don't know shit about me. STFU: Really dude? Dont tell on me to my Mom!
levi79 1 year ago
@levi79 Look at the comments on this page. Are most people for, or against whaling? I can EASILY prove that point. And if you think my retort is "...very lawyer and scripted", you need to get out more. And scripted or not, it's the truth. Whale Wars? Well... if you will look at the date of this video's posting, you will see it was from before there even was Whale Wars. I don't have network TV. I don't watch Whale Wars. Sorry.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 if your so pissed off at greenpeace for not stopping the whaling, why dont you get a little boat and go out and stop it yourself? greenpeace has made more of a difference than you ever will and your knocking them? you sir, are the hypocrite.
wild1033 1 year ago
@wild1033 How am I the hypocrite? I Don't take people's money under the pretense of usingit for a purpose for which it is not even used. GP even agreed (along with WWF and the PEW foundation) to a resumption of limited whaling in return for Japan reducing their annual quota. So who is the hypocrite? Me for showing my support of SSCS, or GP for lying about their desire to stop whaling? And if you support GP, then you know that one don't need to be in a boat to make a difference.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
Or they get a bunch of over priced lawers (back by millionare terror supporters like Bob Barker, Trudy Irwin, Reese Witherspoon, and what ever Hollywood weenie) to tie up some company wanting to expand or put in an agriculture based industry. Enviromentalist at one time in history mighta been good by now they have crossed the line and are not only terrorist but are extremely damaging to the economy. I'm willing to say that job loss due to enviro's is over a million.
levi79 1 year ago
@levi79 You really are clueless if you think agriculture is the answer to all our problems. You have no idea at all how devastating farming is to the environment. Especially modern techniques. We are over-populated. WORLD WIDE. You are lucky not to have felt the effects. Japan, not so lucky. Still doesn't give them the right to take something that does't belong to them.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 Then what is the answer? Even if areas werent our over populated. What would be your arguement? Who cares about Japan eating whales, or what evere the hell they do with them? Seems to me there's enough for them to be going out year after year. I'm sure if everybody had an organic garden in their yard youd bitch about that to for some crazy reason. Maybe in your next life you can come back as an earthworm of course then youd prob start an uprising about birds and people fishing.
levi79 1 year ago
Japan has an industry for their people leave them alone. I'm sure in your world everybody in the world should have a job @ Google or painting rainbows and passing out glitter and have such a high cultured life. But the world dont turn like that. Food and supplies dont just magically appear in Wal-Mart. Your plastics are patrolem based. Your house is made os wood, and your electricty comes from some sort of fish/bird killing, water diverting, 300ft eye sore, plationum pruduceing facility.

the fact that we have the intelegance to see cause and effect means that we have the responsability of taking accountability, and if those who take past what nature can supply must take accountablity, some people seem to think that being intelegent and motirvated enough to build a boat and a harpoon means he has the right to tip the ballance of natures sustainability is infinitesimaly ignorant and is part of the human virus. Man its time to see past this problem

10,000 whales could feed a lot of starving families. besides the endangered ones im all for it.
KingP1n81 1 year ago
@KingP1n81 In your opinion, what makes a whale less valuable than a human? Why do humans have a greater right to survival? One could argue that humans have done far more destruction to this planet than whales, so why should the one perish, in order to sustain the other?
When do we stop? At what point do we realize that we can't continue? The sad truth is, humans are over -populated by at least half. I just hope we leave something behind besides lifeless ruin.

@fatsomamacheese Okay. How about a little more information on this "large group of biological evolutionary scientists". Tell me more, Obi Wan.

That's all you get from me. I don't give a crap if you think I'm wrong. I gave you the door, you have to walk through it.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese Honestly, this is stupid and you are a troll. There are scientists that support religious freaks views that the world is only 5000 years old, if you look hard enough. Your view is retarded no matter who else shares it with you. I guarantee there are far more scientists in favor of protecting what we have, than just saying "Fuck it, it doesn't matter anyway." You and I don't agree. I get it. I won't delete your comments. Go away now.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 You're right, scientists themselves can be wrong, biased, etc. That's why you have to research the information for yourself instead of ignoring it and pretending it's wrong automatically because it disagrees with your opinion. That's called objectivity.
And scientists supporting saving the earth is not contradictory to scientists supporting the theory that protein from meat helped the human brain evolve to be larger. But that doesn't change the fact it doesn't matter.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 So keep fighting the good fight, make new laws, create birthing laws, create laws to kill off prisoners, laws to kill off old people, w/e. It won't matter. It will do nothing to stop the fact that everything we do here will be ash one day, and no matter how hard you try to save species that evolution chose for extinction you cannot stop nature.
But you SHOULD delete my comments. Complete your path to complete close-mindedness to anything that contradicts your opinion...
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese I'm sorry, but your argument is, in my opinion, the dumbest argument I never imagined anyone actually subscribing to. If this is truly your belief, then it only stands to reason that mass murderers are just doing the world a favor. So what has stopped you from playing with the Kool-Aid at the Sunday Social? And if you actually don't care about the world and the life on it, then why are you arguing such a stupid point and wasting my time? Just live your apathetic life in peace.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 I do care. I'm simply pointing out the obvious. You have assumed my position because I'm playing devil's advocate.
I don't want to die. I don't want whales to die. I don't want the earth to be burned away. But there are two ways to look at it. There is either some divine purpose for us being here, experiencing life. Or there isn't and everything is a natural process.
My main problem is when people think of man as nothing special, yet still separate us from that natural process.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 If the universe was created with the intent of us evolving in it, then we are special. Good and Evil exist, etc and we should try to be good. If the universe spontaneously created itself due to two membranes colliding and all this exists just because it does, there is no good or evil, and man killing off this planet is natural. Man also trying to fight against that is natural, but the reasoning behind it is ignorant.
So the question really is what is your reasoning?
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 My argument seems dumb because it is carrying out said position to it's final point. You can't believe we are a part of nature, nothing more special than any other organism, then act like what we do is somehow different than nature itself. That makes NO sense whatsoever. Our ability to reason allows us to have motivation to do things that other organisms don't. But it's faulty reasoning unless you actually think there is something different about us.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 On the subject of whether or not the scientific consensus is that protein from meat allowed the human brain to evolve to be larger and more intelligent...on THAT subject I am not playing devil's advocate. I am simply repeating what men and women more knowledgeable on the subject than you and I agree on.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese My original intent with this video, was to show what I felt was a ridiculous hypocrisy displayed by Greenpeace. I believe whales are an incredible creature that deserve to be protected during the time of humans. Why do I feel that way? WHO CARES WHY?
What is your intent with your postings here? I am just curious because so much of what you have posted has nothing to do with what this video was actually about.
101Osprey101 1 year ago

SuperStickay 1 year ago
@SuperStickay Who are you to judge that human life of more value than non-human life? And while the Japanese may take whales legally, they can not take them in an established sanctuary. Let them raise them i Japan for food if that is what they want. I wouldn't agree with it, but it would be their legal right. The whales they currently hunt are whales that swim in the same waters that are less than 2 miles from my home. What gives the Japanese more rights to them than me?
101Osprey101 1 year ago
wow!! someone doesnt have their facts straight.aside from the teriostic tactics that steve irwin uses, which actually HAVE braught harm to the crew working on the japanesse ships.
SuperStickay 1 year ago
@SuperStickay What harm has been caused? And how exactly are you aware of it? Have the Japanese had their lives put in serious jeopardy from rotten butter? By the way, Ketchup is more acidic than butyric acid.
Also nice to note that your account is new which leads me to believe you are in fact, a whaler trying to make it seem as if there are others who honestly believe your lies about Japan being the ones wronged.
Just another lame whaling tactic used to discredit.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
What's funny is nothing will ever come of any of this, because the people who are against legal whaling aren't willing to do what it takes to stop it. They want to throw flash grenades at them and ram their boats from the side and then fake getting shot. If Sea Shepherds weren't all about viewers, maybe they would have done something right instead of flopping about helplessly and wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars while not saving a single whale to date.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago 2
@fatsomamacheese According to the Japanese, they were far under quota due to SSCS. So, I guess they must be doing something. You may also want to start delving into the political and social aspects as well, to see what they are up against. SSCS also operates within the confines of international law. Very limiting in some respects. If I had my way: One boat, one torpedo. Do my best not to hurt anyone. SSCS does make a difference, however small it may be in some cases. Who else does? Greenpeace?
101Osprey101 1 year ago
I have been supporting SSCS since long before their TV show. The show is not their primary purpose, but it does give exposure to what they are doing. It wasn't all that long ago that the majority of the people in the world agreed that whales should not be killed. People need to see that it is still going on.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 You would risk human life to save whale life. You're a murderer then, and worse than the japanese whalers. One boat one torpedo? Killing is killing.
Of course, you could just look at it through the eyes of evolution. If a species isn't able to survive another species as intelligent as us, then they should have evolved. You either believe man is different than nature, in which case you must believe murder is spiritually wrong, or you must believe man is nature.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago 2
@fatsomamacheese I view the hunting of whales in the same way most people view the Holocaust. And were I alive during that tragic time, and had the means to take down Hitler, the answer would be the same. I see no difference. I view ALL life as sacred, and sometimes, sad as that may be, we have to remove one, to save many.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 If whales have not evolved to survive our species, THEN THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO BE HERE. Now you and others like you might save them, thus making us a species that wasn't meant to finish off whales, which like I said will just mean we get to stick around longer. But we will keep multiplying, and keep growing, until there is a choice between people dying or an animal species dying off...On that day you will understand what I mean when I say it's all part of the natural process.

101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 It's a difficult pill to swallow, but it's fact. If men are nature, then what we do is natural. That also means trying to stop whaling is natural, but logically it doesn't make sense to kill a man rather than a whale. All they are doing is trying to make money to feed their kids. Those workers on those boats that you want to torpedo...they have children. Would you torpedo their children too to save an animal that evolution hasn't helped survive?
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese At the current population, man is a plague on this planet. Find one scientist that thinks the earth is NOT overpopulated by the human race. The general consensus is that we are overpopulated by at least half. I feel no pity for those that have children when they have no means to support those children. And no, I do not have children.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 And if we are overpopulating the earth (which I agree we are), who's fault is that? If you accept evolution then you have no choice but to accept that it is a natural process. We are overpopulating the earth because of that natural process. In other words, a scientist saying we are overpopulating means we are harming other species by consuming too much, yet this is all by a natural process and us trying to mess with that process is against the laws of nature.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 People having multiple kids is their choice, and it's natural. You don't have kids, good for you, you won't raise anyone to carry on your beliefs that we are overpopulating the earth. While the people who have 8 kids and no thoughts towards that are continuing to multiply and pass on those sentiments. It's natural. Should we create laws to stop people from multiplying? Should we sterilize people? Are whales that important? What if whales "overpopulate"?
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 See the problem with people like you is you think of man as something different than nature. It's an instict of man to think of himself as different, better or worse than the entire rest of the natural process. But the truth is we are no different. When a lion kills a buffalo to eat, we're not saddened, we say it's natural. Do you think lions care if they kill off all the buffalo? No. Only man does, because we think a species going extinct is something new.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 Even though 98% of all species that have ever existed are gone...naturally. If lions kill off all the buffalo, the lion goes next, and so on and so forth. If man overpopulates to the point that all the animals are gone, we will go next. So in truth, it's a selfish endeavor to "save the whales". You're really only trying to save yourself, protect the balance. But nature isn't always balanced, and trying to tip it back to even is messing with the natural process.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese I see your beliefs as well as you see mine. On one level, you do understand, and on another, you don't. Same here. I do agree with you on some points, but not to the same degree. I think your thoughts are self-serving. On your channel, I see that you thrive on conflict. Read all of the comments and show me something positive. At least your shit throwing seems to have some thought, but you might try looking at the world in a less confrontational manner.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 Instead of asking me to be less confrontational, you should just admit to yourself you can't really find much wrong with what I said.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese Actually, I can find a lot wrong with it, from my point of view. I just don't think my point of view, is the ONLY point of view. I personally think your arguments are selfish. You say my argument is "...a selfish endeavor..." but in truth, my actions would benefit far more than your actions. Mine, preserves for future generations. Yours, consumes all at whatever rate the truly selfish decide.
Move to an island, consume all of the resources without care, see how long you survive.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 Exactly...you're selfish. You're trying to save the whales so you have a nice environment. When human beings are no longer meant to survive, it will be people like you who will be hanging on, fighting against the natural order of things. You just can't accept the fact that one day we will go extinct. So save the whales, live in a bubble, protect everything, resist all natural change...I'll be busy living my life.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese Are you actually saying we should just let people be people so that they will die off faster, thus allowing the next stage of evolution to begin? Just curious, where do you live (in general)? I am on the S. Oregon Coast.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 Yup. We'll either kill each other off trying to stop the natural process, or we'll kill all the animals because there are too many of us to live off of them and plants anymore. It's inevitable. Really the only solution will be to enforce restrictions on people and take away their freedom...basically take away their right to have children, which I'm sure you would love. So we either enslave people, or we kill them, or we all die in the long term.
I live in the U.S.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese Unique opinion. Why don't you show how altruistic you are, and just kill yourself now? You call me selfish? You had best look up the definition. You are just using evolution as an excuse to do whatever you want, and fuck anyone else. Have a nice day.
101Osprey101 1 year ago
@101Osprey101 Like I said, the only solution is to enforce restrictions on people (or just have then killed as you wish me to do). You don't have a counter argument to me, so you insult me again and again. It doesn't hurt my feelings, it's quite expected. It's not easy to realize that our existence is temporary, that this planet is temporary, that one day every organism that ever lived on this planet will be dead and the sun will have swallowed it whole in a supernova.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese
Sidlexic 1 year ago
@Sidlexic Several things wrong with what you said:
Protein rich meat is the natural diet for human beings. We did not evolve eating plants. We evolved eating meat. It is NOT biologically natural to be a vegetarian.
And there is not enough land on the earth right now to feed its populations without the use of genetically altered plants. NOT possible.
And I'm pretty sure bacon is not American only, perhaps you should go outside. Enforcing a vegan diet would cause global revolutions and death
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese SOOO many things wrong with what you said:
You're hilarious, take everything to the ultimate extreme... Yes, I'm definitely a lying idiot trying to implement a conspiracy that will throw the world into CHAOS by the way of the HORRID vegetarian diet!! OMG! muahahah!...
PS- do some research, you don't need GMO and you can get more protein per pound out of some veg than you can per pound of meat. We evolved eating plants AND meat (Omnivore), check out what molar teeth are for.
Sidlexic 1 year ago
@Sidlexic "We evolved eating plants AND meat (Omnivore)" Our brain evolving to the size it is, you know the thing that made us the alpha predator on the planet, came from meat, not plants. There is empirical data to support this. If you would like to disagree with it, understand it's not my opinion you're disagreeing with. You're disagreeing with widely accepted science.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@Sidlexic I never said you were trying to implement a conspiracy. I said forcing a vegan diet on the world would cause huge backlash. Not America, the world...since you know it's not just those fat americans that eat bacon.
It's not the ultimate extreme, it's the logical conclusion. You will never convince people to not eat meat and you cannot force them unless you'd like to create laws to do so and even then it would just cause death and illegal meat trade. It's retarded and pointless.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@Sidlexic "You're hilarious" Or backed by science. But if scientific fact is hilarious to you, then by all means, laugh. We could solve it all if we just went vegan though right? lol...

Also, if you know so much about history, science, politics, human nature, and evolution then you should know that we don't live by a set of static, meat-eating rules. Things change and we adapt by using our, according to you, massive meat powered noggins "you know the thing that made us the alpha predator".
Sidlexic 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese
"Protein rich meat is the natural diet for human beings. We did not evolve eating plants. We evolved eating meat. It is NOT biologically natural to be a vegetarian."
Here's an idea; you live on a meat only diet and I will live on a veg only diet. We'll see who's alive after one month, deal? sweet
Sidlexic 1 year ago
@Sidlexic "Here's an idea; you live on a meat only diet and I will live on a veg only diet. We'll see who's alive after one month, deal? sweet" You will be healthier with a vegetarian's diet. This has nothing to do with how the human brain evolved off of protein to be larger, nor did I ever state that man was ever NOT an omnivore. Vegetables were always a part of the diet, but meat, particularly after they could recreate fire and cook it to eat it faster and easier, allowed the brain to grow.
fatsomamacheese 1 year ago
@fatsomamacheese
Also; even if GMO plants were to be used, it would take up less space than what is required to raise cattle (which have been genetically modified for centuries btw). EVEN LESS space if you go vegan. but nobody wants to be vegan...
Sidlexic 1 year ago
@Sidlexic "even if GMO plants were to be used" Not if. You don't get it. We are already at the point that if we were not using genetically altered plants millions of people, possibly into the billions, would have starved to death ON TOP OF the millions of people that starve to death anyways around the world every year.

You should respect cultural differences between western cultures and Japanese one. Historically, Japanese people eat whales for thousands of years. I believe that you are just discriminating Japanese food cultures. Nobody can decide which culture is superior than others.
youmustbeswindler 1 year ago
@youmustbeswindler BUllshit. The Japanese were introduced to large scale whaling after losing the war. Almost all cultures have eaten whale in small quantities but Japan continues whaling just because the rest of the world wants them to stop. Prior to IWC laws, Japan annually took around 300 whales. Since IWC laws were put in effect, the kill quota is 1000. And I thought it was for research. Now you say it is for food? No country has the right to kill what is shared by the world.

Japanese scientists are studying the effects of killing adult and baby whales with harpoons and then eviscerating and skinning them. Perfectly normal animal research....

@420Guitar420

A disgusting crime of both: killers and consumers

if whaling is illegal (and it is) why doesn't any country shoot at whaling ships?
that should be possible
TheBackslash1 2 years ago
because killing whales for research is still legal
sikofu2 2 years ago
As long as they say RESEARCH on there boats and ling at such and extent ..they deserve no less than what ecologist are doing to them. But even so if nobody takes legal action to prevent extreme hunting, there's no point. You save 10 whales while they kill 1000

the biggest problem i see is people believe the japanese are in the right as well as bullshit spread about aussies saying we are a bunch of roo killing rascist red necks
judoisoww 2 years ago
Yeh, i've seen them too! This one person posted a video about pictures of racist signs in Australia saying people weren't allowed to enter without being escorted by someone (most of them said Japanese), so im guessing that most of them were taken in Japan because it was obvious they werent in Australia. Some of the signs were even in 1/2 Spanish or 1/3 Russian and 1/3 Korean.. since when does that happen in Australia? The sad thing is that some Japanese actually believe it too...
rwian 2 years ago
the situation isn't helped by real ausie rednecks calling people "JAPS" etc
judoisoww 2 years ago
The Japanese have never killed more than 440 whales total in any given year since they started he population research in 1986. And there is no legal action to take since the ICR operates within the letter of the law.

Fuck the japs and anyone else that wants to kill a marvellous creature. Save the whales and kill all the chink fucks
