Hayes is a great defender, a great team- and lockerroom guy, a great rebounder, high basketball IQ, great hustler. Only thing is he can't shoot, but Eric Snow couldn't shoot either when he came in the league. In fact, Snow shot a disgusting 22% from the line in college. I just hope Hayes will be able to make some free throws and work on his shooting style, but he'll stick around in the NBA for the rest of his life for sure, he's that great. Great video!

yeah but rodman and barkley were rare athletes. chuck hayes is just pure effort. he obviously lifts weights so he can anchor against bigger guys, and he has his fundamentals down so that he can guard the shot against bigger guys (though if they can hook he's screwed). people are amazed at how much he can do despite his lack of athletic ability, noone is claiming that he's equivalent to rodman or barkley. i think he compares more to jon brockman on the kings

Just because he defends centres well does not make him one 2) If he were any taller he could broaden his skill set, adding to his blocking and rebounding further. Becoming taller doesn't just get rid of your skill set, but you're not a fool, you'd know that right? He'd STILL be able to strip the ball if he was taller. Also, there was no need to mention Shaq on this video.
