  • Cindy...stay out of places which you know nothing about. You are rude, crude and a dumb blonde. I'd love to know YOUR religion YOUR spiritual belife so I can make stupid comments and stick my tounge out at you. I can't belive that the town elder acctually LET you do this.

  • I Felt this Video was a Disgusting Display of Catty Tones, Dry Humor, & Lack of Respect for Peoples Beliefs. Common amongst the Classless, and yet another Immature Attempt for Cheap Advancement of the Media. The Hokey Music, Laughter, and Including the Elderly I found to be Particularily Disgusting and Unforgiveable. Dont you Have a Soul?

  • If anyone can prove to me under reasonable experimental conditions that there is any reason to believe in any version of an afterlife, I would love nothing more. Please try. If you can't, stop believing in this stuff, because you're lying to yourself.

  • The woman is taking a rational view of it. Forgive me for sounding like a jerk, but what do you guys think science is? Just the practical stuff? Scientists completely ignore certain things like spiritualism just to piss people off? No. There is no substantial evidence toward any of this, and that's why it's not in a textbook. Because it's not real. If it were scientifically rational, we would harness it and use it to improve our lives. But it's simply not.

  • This woman is extremely offensive. She makes Cassadage look to be a joke. I've been there several times, and met Jean Sourant, who Cyndi interviewed. Reverand Jean Sourant is a miraculous woman. Cassadaga and it's beliefs were not portrayed well in this video. Absolutely repulsive.

  • on my way there to commune with the dead. id better look alive...

  • hahahahahahahahaha cindy your toenails need clipping

  • @DaytimeTVshow

It WAS offensive, not done in a fun nor upbeat manner. It was simply malicious.

I've done many interviews where the show stayed upbeat and entertaining without the ridiculous faces made by Cindy. I'm on the History Channel now and no one is offended. "Ooooo,,, spooky!" says Cindy. How very juvenile.

And maybe Cindy would like to have her personal beliefs made fun of. Or better yet, have a decent consultant before she heads off to do a story about which she knows nothing!

  • @drpool2424 None of the subjects featured in this story found the video to be offensive. I think maybe you are mis-interpeting the spirit in which the video was created. Cyndi never says "ooooo spooky" She says, "mystical." Our stories are lighthearted and showcase subjects in a positive, open minded, and entertaining manner. I think if you look through the other stories on our channel you'll find that though we have fun, it's never our intention to "make fun" of anyone.

  • People expect fair and balanced reports from reporters, but they sure didn't get it. The religion of Spiritualism has helped many thousands, myself included. Its members don't believe in a God that needs to be appeased with the human sacrifice of Jesus. Because they have had life after death proved to them they realize they are spiritual beings and fear has been removed.

  • @HD4everyone

So sorry if anyone is offended, it was only the intention of the Daytiem staff to showcase Casadega and the people who live there in a fun and upbeat manner. Daytime isn't a news program raterh a lifestyle and entertainment program. -Ben (photographer)

  • My grandparents met here. I have to go see it soon. sounds like fun

  • im moving to deland in 2 weeks. i must go to cassadaga.

  • @evilwatermelon I lived in DeLand when I was in 5th and 6th grade in the early 1980's it was a weird place. But they had a Publix grocery store back then and Publix has really expanded. I remember lots of sandy dirt roads and spurs, a type of seed that had prickers on them and they'd stick to your socks and be a real pain.

  • I have spent time at Cassadaga and it is a tranquil and serene place....

  • me and my boy went with a few ppl at night here. lol maad spiders. if you ever go take a night walk into the pitch black area. its crazy

  • I've been to Cassadaga about 5 times when I used to live in FL. It's an interesting little town. Had a couple really good readings, and two were terrible.

  • This is offensive.

  • this is retarted how the reporter is acting

  • When was the last time you shaved your beaber? justin!!!

  • I see the future for that show and it's not so good - if she continues to be silly with serious subjects

  • I've passed through this place a few times. It's a small town with an unusual history which is why it's even known at all, but these days it's trashy and has a seedy state-fair sort of feel about it. Just look at the footage in this video. It's all empty and a 3-road town like Children of the Corn with mobile homes. Don't get any unrealistic expectations about this place, there's some desperate people there.

  • yea, she was really rude about it. its awful to disrespect people's beliefs. they shouldn't do documentaries if they're going to make a joke of it.

  • @katiepaintsthesky

    Yeah, really.

  • it is a great place. I stopped there and found it very peaceful.

  • I've been there and seanced with an off-the-radar medium. She makes light a very serious matter. Read my novel. It comes out in January

  • The reporter just wanted to make it all seem silly.

  • @urbanwarrior - that's unfortunately how most tv news reporters are - vain, silly, insecure, and not too bright.

  • my grandma lives there. its not that scary

  • Been here twice and I love it...the Hotel is absolutly beautiful. This is one of my favorite places to visit. They make it look scary in the video and it's not.

  • @TBA4Freedom I have been twice myself, the first time was on June 1,2001 and my last visit was in March/April 2006. I love this place and believe in spiritualism very much.

  • nice job!

  • open your minds your making a joke of something that science can't figure out

  • cassadaga is a joke , I lived there for 4 years

  • There's nothing for science to figure out. Besides, it's been figured out. It's called "cold reading".
