For me what he explain at 2:37 min until 2:44 it's not more character to the motor like he said ,it's just the TURBO LAG.

So for me the guys ruined the good evolution to  efficient of turbo.

SAD because BMW made a good work on it

Wat een lelijke koets. AC Schnitzer is ook met een 400pk versie bezig, maar testen dit altijd heel zorgvuldig. Dus dat duurt nog even. Ik wacht op die software.

Desperately waiting for any information that is not part of Kelleners PR materials. And 1 M's engine is flat? With such turbo lag? Anything convenient that should be made with 1 M's engine by any tuner is elimination of the turbo lag and I don't hear any clear information about this matter in your review. Or - as far as I understand - it is even worse than in the case of 1 M. And you call it "character"?

Stock 1M looks much better. And 410 hp is no real accomplishment. There are plenty of 135i cars running that much power without way too many mods.

@miike12345 The 135i and 1M both use a version of the N54, so their potentials for upgrades are effectively the same. Dinan intake, exhaust, intercooler, oil cooler, and software yields 408 hp. And Dinan is known for having conservative tunes. JB4 software alone gives 100 hp. Intake, exhaust, and intercooler would free up a lot more. Vishnu software, intake, and exhaust yields 420 hp. There are plenty of tuners out out there.

This is not a great look for a car that is bound to cost a lot of money. Also BMW were striving to get rid of any turbo lag so that people who buy and drive M cars could more readily accept it. I think tuners should go the Alpina way and leave M cars as they are.

The only reason the 1M is not that fast is because they can not make it faster than the M3, which will step all over their golden car. I feel BMW could have made the 1M much faster.
