I did it once like you said to get more points; could have easily killed the guy to prevent it, but as soon as I started diffusing after killing him, a rocket came in and splattered my organs on the mcom. Lesson learned: kill the guy before he arms!

honestly a fifteen to twenty foot drop while in full gear and sprinting will do a fair amount of damage if no fully aware. test it for yourself, strap 100 pounds on your back and run as fast as you can off yur roof

@RAFmortis keep in mind that these soldiers are probably carrying around 30 kg of equipment and they don't roll when they land. if they did a rolling/ fall on their side animation when they land then that would add to the realism and make the game more challenging/fun with the time delay between landing and getting up.
