  • wowowowowowowow i very likeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

  • Why do people use shortening with chocolate to melt it? Does it give it a better taste?

  • @Tiffanysmith21 It doesn't add to the taste, but it can help the chocolate be a little smoother & easier to work with. I also find that it gives the chocolate a bit of a snap when you bite into it! -Cindy

  • @Tiffanysmith21 no it just makes the chocolate more liquidy

  • If you want to sell them, how do you keep them cold (traveling).. Because they will melt...

  • @Tiffanysmith21 I would think keeping them in an ice chest that has some blue ice packs in the bottom would work well. -Cindy

  • how long should you put the strawberries in the freezer?

  • @allisondana96 At 6:45 it says, "5-10 minutes." -Cindy

  • Oh and if you want an easier method to drizzle the chocolate, you can use a ziploc bag and cut a small hole in the corner

  • Thanks this helped a lot!

  • @SephoraGirlxoxo You're welcome! -Cindy

  • I love how you say chocolate it reminds me of my grandma in the mid-west

  • @zheldra1 I'm strictly a California girl... born and raised in California. I must have picked up my "accent" the one night I spend in Nebraska while driving across country! -Cindy

  • Hey I need some help dear. I want to do some chocolate dipped strawberries so I did a test with the chocolate. I tried to temper the chocolate but it just won't harden afterwards, even after placing it in the fridge. Urgh!! Could it be because the chocolate was too soft before I actually melted it that it won't harden? Should the chocolate be at room temp first? Plz Helppp. Thnx :)

  • @missannelle Yikes! Let's see if I can be of any help....First, are the strawberries totally at room temperature? Next, instead of tempering the chocolate, try microwaving 3/4 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate with 1 t. solid vegetable shortening (Crisco) on 30 second bursts, stirring in between each cooking session. When most of the chocolate is melted, keep stirring, letting the heat of the bowl melt the rest. Then try dipping your berries. Good Luck! -Cindy

  • @harwoodpodcast I didn't use strawberries, I was just trying to see how the chocolate would be . Can I melt cold chocolate? I believe it's because the chocolate I used wasn't at room temperature when I did it because I live in a very hot country. This is much harder than I thought!!

  • @missannelle When melting chocolate, the chocolate does need to be at room temperature. From what I understand, working with chocolate in very hot country will prove to be very difficult. When you have a chance, try my suggestion from the last post, using chocolate that is at room temperature, along with a bit of shortening. Melt them together and place little blobs of the chocolate on a parchment sheet and place in the refrigerator. It should set up. -Cindy

  • @harwoodpodcast Thank you very much!! Will try again soon.

  • @missannelle Urg!! What type of chocolate should I use? Should I use chocolate chips? I tried it on strawberries and it didn't work again!! I'll try chocolate chips next time because I used milk chocolate bars both times and the chocolate won't set. AHH!

  • where can i buy all the chocolates?

  • @dsalinas737nfl Have a look in the baking section of your grocery store. -Cindy
