I heard this reel played on an LP by a Dingle based group Slaudeen over 20 years ago and it was called the Dawn. Don't know if its available on CD. The name of the album was Forever By Dingle Shore. I know O Flaherty's pub was the base pub of the group.
Great Stuff, I've just learnt the tune from this video on the B/C Accordion in G and I understand exactly why he broke down where he broke down, the tune has unusual key combination (for me anyway) it's difficult to master, lots of practice required .
Ya picked a good tune All the musicians in Chicago like the Dawn real . They play it all the time . Ya have a nice style of playing . I like it . Little german Das Ist gute musik mach weiter so Beannacht dia gaelic god bless English Muy bein ---slan ----pat
Well done - And a very hard reel in its old style - A menace - and other Words Besides,, when you try this version on fiddle - Some more Please , A little Easier ,,, 10x10..
I enjoyed any more? I first saw you on you tube in The McBrides "Hilarious Irish singing & dancing ! I am moving to Limmerick when my daughter marries a man from there when college is done for them You are what I picture Irish men my age are like ! My father played concertina in Milwaukee Wisconsin & polka music is popular here. You remind me of Family --Blessings to you !

That sounds a bit like a hornpipe instead of a reel, but I could be mistaken.
