While Jon Gruden would be my first choice, I really hope that either Fulmer or Tommy Tuberville are announced as the next head coach at the University of Louisville. That would really make me smile a lot. Any of those three would be a great, great hire and they would all bring in proven winner credientials. I miss Bobby Petrino and would gladly take him back any day of the week, but that's not going to happen. At this point, anyone but Kragthorpe would be great.

@yankeeT316 You're exactly right. He loved the team, the players, and the game. He knew how much pride we have in our football. I doubt we will, but I sure do hope that one day we will have a coach that loved the team, game, and the school with as much pride as he did.

And Tennessee fans wanted this guy gone. He was one of the top big game coaches of his time. He is very underrated IMO, but hey I'm a UK fan and this guy never lost to us. Maybe that's why I fear him. We would love to have you in Lex Phat Phil.

That's all it takes at TN now? A winning season? You guys used to be at least a competitor for a national title, but now all it takes is to have a record above .500? Come on. I'm an Ohio State fan and I respect the legacy that Tennessee has, and I know that Lane Kiffin is not a Tennessee man. He's a lot like Dick Rod up at U of M....but hey, they can keep him there as long as they like. We love him!

Never win? They are going bowling this year which they DIDN'T do last year. Under Fulmer, they hadn't won an SEC championship since 1998. I don't know much about Tennessee, but I think if they have a decent team next year, they could do great things and compete for the SEC East.

I am a 30 year TN fan and you are right. Fulmer is a proven coach. He had one or two bad years and got fired. Kiffin is a complete idiot and he makes TN look bad. He doesn't even know the rules. He just mouths off with nothing to back it up. We'll see. Go UT but damn, it would have been much better with a coach from Tennessee who understands this the people in this state.

While Jon Gruden would be my first choice, I really hope that either Fulmer or Tommy Tuberville are announced as the next head coach at the University of Louisville. That would really make me smile a lot. Any of those three would be a great, great hire and they would all bring in proven winner credientials. I miss Bobby Petrino and would gladly take him back any day of the week, but that's not going to happen. At this point, anyone but Kragthorpe would be great.

I honestly believe this was one of the best overall teams to ever suite up for the Vols. This team was really good...but it should have been great. I realize that if, if and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a merry christmas, but this team shouldn't have lost a game.

Seriously?!?! You obviously don't know what kind of player Will Overstreet was! Scared? That's funny. That look you saw was a look of intensity and he was staring down his teammates moments before one of the greatest Tennessee wins in recent history. Overstreet was a hell of a player and played in the NFL before a career ending injury. And he never looked like he was scared of anyone.

I love the veiw of locker room intensity on john henderson , i beleive hendersons intensity rubbed off on the entire team , his energy probabbly fueled the words that flowed out of Fulmers mouth , spurrier probabbly shitted his pants and changed em at halftime

They also had Overstreet at DE. Overstreet played a game very similar to Vaden Bosch of the Titans. That defensive line was phenomenal.

I agree with you 100%. I'm a Michigan fan and you guys kicked our tails off that year in the Citrus Bowl. That team was very good. It was unfortunate that you had to lose to LSU in the SEC title game I think it was LSU. Good luck with Kiffin this season!
