I was the cameraman of the video. I work as a yellow shirt at the track and love it when the military is there. I have to admit I didnt expect this Super Stallion to take of that fast or do what it did. I will never forget it and wish I had a better video camera with me that day! Thanks for all of the comments! And thank your fellow crewman for the haircut there mojoJoJo84. And thanks to all of our military past and present for keeping us free! God bless all of you! Now, how do I get a ride?
that would of scared the shit out of me, he takes off, points it at the deck and then flys torwards u. would of been gone on my toes. lol. cool helicoptor all the same.
I remember that. It sat there for awhile warming up before it left. I remember trying to get video from the pagota, but I had to leave to head to a sprint car race that night. Our car was parked close to the heli and it took off right about as we got close to it. What a thing to experience in person.
CH53E Super Stallion, you can tell by angled tail rotor mechanism, and the 7 blades, well, not in this video, but when he actually holds the camera semi straight, you can somewhat see the angled tail fin
It's neither. That's an MH-53E Sea Dragon. When this video was shot, only a few Pave Lows were in the inventory. They retired the remaining MH-53Ms in Sept 08. The Sea Dragon has massive sponsons and a canted tail rotor with three engines and a 7th main rotor blade. The MH-53M has external aux fuel tanks, a TF/TA radar and other destinctions.
i heard the afgan skinnys dont even want to pick up their weapons when the Apache is in the air cause it can see what they have in their hands day or night and open up a can of 30mm on their ass lmao
There was only two Mi12s built correct? The Mi6 was a nother huge helicopter though not as big as the 12. The Mi-6 was essentially replaced by the Mi-26.
Wonderfully done!! Thanks for sharing!
