How come in your games on deity you get to capitals and they have only a couple archers and when i get there they hae like 10 archer armies fortified and everything else?

@Jarhead402011 Usually depends on how much time you give them. Check the year? It also depends on if you threaten them in advance. They'll start pumping out archers like crazy. Surprise attacks work better. Sometimes it doesn't even matter if enough time has gone by and they'll have like 8 or more defensive armies.

@Maelfyn Oh okay, i also tend to magically lose fights with say 24 attack against 18 defence, it kinda annoys me. I save before i fight just to be safe a lot of the time but i feel thats cheating and wanna win without that

@Jarhead402011 Yeah, everyone loses a bad fight once in a while. I lost a 24 to 8 one time, I think it was? You generally want at least double the attack of the opposing army. With non-armies it's actually more hairy. You can lose a 4 to 1

@Maelfyn Yeah its weird, i win some when i shouldnt and lose some when i shouldnt. Either way I love this game
