That wasn't my point though. My point was that in their attempt to sound original all they managed to accomplish was the complete opposite.

It's a boring, unoriginal, overplayed and overall plain style, in my opinion. They (the singer particularly) would've been much better off sticking to the original melody.

However, as stated, this is just my opinion. Just my two cents.
