Yes, there's a big Irish scene in NL. But it's definitely becoming little stereotyped as a miniature Ireland. That's simply not the case. There's a pretty scattered history
This ad campaign is so beautifully produced, it creates a remarkable and curious longing in me for the place.
The 30 second spot with the tag line, "not every work of art hangs on wall" makes my heart ache and can bring me close to tears of homesickness for a place which isn't even my home. It amazes me.
Jennifer, the other folks and Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism, and the ad firm who produced the campaign have done something extraordinary.
It really is spectacular. Although it was a British colony, the Irish that immigrated (mainly from south-east Ireland) had such a tremendous impact on our culture, music, dialects, etc. Let's just say Ireland is on the very top of my list of places to visit!
im from newfoundland i live in burin, newfoundland. those is very nice towns and scenery, better then anywhere else but there should be something of st johns in the picture cause it makes it look newfoundland is all small towns which people will definitely like to visit but they might want to see our city too like st johns corner brook and paradise and mount pearl.
That's not a strange request at all. We receive a lot of emails about the music on our commercials. The music in all of the TV ads was composed specifically for the ads. It was composed and purchased from a stock music house, so there is no composer attached to it and it is not available commercially.
I'm not from New foundland... but I do love NewFoundland.... It just sad it's so expensive to go there (flight) because I thing every Canadian didnt trully see our country before going to new Foundland.... We should not forget about this unique place in canada
I love Newfoundland , the most beautiful place on the planet, i lived thee a few years ago for three years, all my realitives are there and im moving back for good this june!:) i can't wait.
Only The Newfoundlander has the love for this land and not the tourist nor the traveller. I miss home so much! I like how the person filming this video flew over the narrows in St.Johns by showing signal hill first and then over St.john's! I miss home!

...in NL.
This place really is magical; that is, of course, if you experience it with the right people. Like anything I guess...

To get the background song:
1. download wondershare youtube downloader which lets you dl the video file onto your pc.
2. Download AoA audio extractor to extract the audio from the video file that is on your pc from step 1.
Easy to use programs and perfect quality.
Hope this helps.
