355 strokers are aftermarket motors mate. The 304ci is the standard 5litre, otherwise known as the 185i in VR/VS HSV and 195i in VT's. The 350ci is the 5.7litre V8 from the 215i VS Senators/GTS, which has the Harrop Stroker crank.

My old na VL Calais used to go off the clock... & keep up with with 5Ltrs too & my stock Vt clubby hit 260klm ... im a massive holden fan & i aint doubting it goin off the clock but its seems to get there abit to quick for a stocky...that is the needle itself not the engine, common probs on these turbo 700s the speedo teeth wear out .... ya still topped it out though.... good work

also guys notice this guys a fucking smart 1. hes doing this vid on a cool engine. the engine is still cold and cars run better on cold engines cos the oil isnt heated right up. so he is probably getting a 15% better run out of it!!

Not entirely true.. Engines run better with cold air because cold air is much more dense than hot air which means when it mixes with fuel and ignights it creates a bigger explosion. When the oil is cool it is thicker and not getting to the places it needs to be which increases engine wear, when the oil heats up it becomes thiner and is much more effective at lubricating engine internals.

No way possible that 5 litre is stock, I timed it with a stop watch and it clocked 4.2 seconds to 100 km/h and 9.3 seconds to 160 km/h. But hey sweet car though!!!!

ive owned various 5 litre v8 and im not calling you a liar but the video is a bit suspicious. you revved out to 70-75 in first gear but the tacho needle wasnt anywhere to be seen (not up to 5000rpm anyway), in all my 5 litres i reach 65 km/h at around 5200 rpm.

anyway if it is stock and running the right gear drive its quite a fast car.

All the guys that I showed the video to that have near stock 5 litres with big diff ratios said he's got 4.11 diff gears and 100 is about 135 on the speedo, might even be 3.9s but yeah something like that. I'd like to see a video of it racing at a drag strip that's what I would like

It's impossible beacuse it reaches 160 at the 10 second mark. The very best stock 5 litres (and mine is probably the fastest stock 5 litre in the country right now) takes at least 14 seconds to reach 160. In this video it's also making the trip to 100 kmh in 4.5 seconds which isn't possible unless the speedo is along way out (4.11 gears?). Anyway I don't like to be a pain in the ass about it but something just isn't right here :)
