@ANTHMX They are thoroughly dead. Scarlet was cursed with a lot of bad luck, including a couple of van accidents and gear thefts while on tour. Jon went on to front Spitfire, who made (what I consider to be) the "sequel" to Cult Classic entitled "Cult Fiction". It's not bad, but not as magical... the lyrics are still totally fucked though.

Spitfire is also seemingly dead, since the drummer has joined Norma Jean so that he can make a lot money and bang groupies.

@xdeadwaterx I saw them with Zao and The Chariot in 2004. This was The Chariot's first major tour before the first album came out. EPIC show.

Scarlet isn't for everyone... but you can't deny the energy they throw around live and how creepy some of their stuff is. They played "Nymphoteens" and during the part where he's screaming sexual stuff, the singer stepped off the stage and screamed it directly at some hot preppy girl (who looked VERY out of place, and frightened).

brandon was a so much more talented vocalist. This genre is so chock full of people who cant really play instruments or actually have a voice at all. thing that sucks is that scarlet and spitfire are two of the most amazing bands in the genre. bands like the bled and norma jean aren't doing this stuff HALF as good as scarelt and spitfire. but these two awesome bands never get any attention. i'm from VA so i've been lucky enough to make the travel to see these bands.
