  • @newmusicsupply does it work with any dj program

  • @Cdawgz1 Can't really say whether or not it works with ANY DJ app, however there have been many that have been tested and approved, and can be found in the comments.

  • i dont get way so many people dont like it ,discover dj is for BEGINNERS AND IS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DONT HAVE 150-280 AND UP FOR DJ EQUIPMENT ,in a nutshell I LIKE IT

  • not really looking to be a dj just mess around with music. if anyone is really trying to become a dj they really shouldnt even be watching this types of video. just saying

  • does it work with an Apple iMac?

  • @leonc98 If your iMac has Mac OS X 10.4 or later

  • does it come with a headphone jack???

  • @sabin360 No. This has been discussed a few times previously, you need a secondary sound card if you wish to run mutiple channels. It is a USB peripheral that uses your computer for sound.

  • every 1 nows this a plastic piece of shit but for beginers who use virtual dj this paradise

  • @RayKickzTV It's a great beginner's preipheral and a good learning tool before jumping to an advanced unit.

  • If you're wondering about whether you should buy this, here is your quick(non 4:31) answer..

    Don't.

This is a terrible piece of equipment and even as a beginner, you won't be challenged for more than a week. Save your money unless you're in the rare case of buying djing equipment but have no desire to get better at djing.

And to the author of this video. You said this was fantastic for beginner djs and this was one of the things that led me to wasting time and money.

    thumbs up if you agree

  • @SoundJunkieVlog I'm sorry you feel that way. I used alot of CD-driven Numark decks back in the late 90s early 2000s and felt that this actually WAS a good unit for a beginner.

  • What was that remote I saw in the bottom corner? You can't use effects with this program?

  • @iiBilu The remote is for the vid cam I'm recording with. You can upload effects as MP3s and mix them in, but that's it as far as I know.

  • @NEMusicSupply Oh okay cool, so you can opload effects as MP3s from the internet? I find it hard to find them

  • @iiBilu That's correct. Unfortunately I don't have any sites I can suggest from a retail perspective.

  • @NEMusicSupply can u connect it to like an ipod touch or something???

  • @ninosoccer10 It is a peripheral and needs to connect to your computer.

  • @NEMusicSupply oh ok

  • I just got it, software installed and works fine on windows 7, the controller is installed, drivers installed, and the buttons are lit up so the usb is connected...but it cant control anything...any help?????

  • @nickhornbacher That's a little odd, to be honest. I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the software and contacting ION Audio support if you have further issues.

  • @nickhornbacher I am having the same problem, did you figure out how to fix it?

  • @shelmit18 i did actually. start the software with the controller unplugged. it will tell you to plug in it. do so, then hit retry. works everytime for me. but if your computer goes to sleep, or you unplug the controller, you have to do it again. super annoying, but works

  • Any Idea why on my mac I cant upload my music from Itunes, MEDIA LOADING ERROR CANT LOAD MEDIA: File not found?

  • @cathyrusia I honestly can't say that I know why, as I haven't seen that error on Windows before. I would contact techincal support.

  • EMERGENCY QUESTION NEEDS ANSWER QUICK

Can the regestration code be used on one PC and then on another? Bascially can it be used twice on differ PC's

  • @GenieOfTheTorch Can't honestly say. When you buy the product, you are given one license...whether or not you can use it on multiple PCs is not allowed...but doesn't mean you can't.

  • I just got mine and I got the software mixvibes pretty much down, i been looking all over the web for some plug-in effects so I can transition from song to song a bit smoother any idea where i can get some?

  • @mrvalero305 I don't have any vendors that i work with specifically, but I've found a few just from some Google searches.

  • In first place thanx for uploaded this video.. but i wanna know if this software has any effects like flanger or others that i can manage from de Ion discover dj?

  • @CarlosAlbertoGL I have only used the software briefly, but I know that all of the effects are controlled via the peripheral.

  • So it connects to my computer with a usb, is that the only cable so I can use my logitech speakers and not my built-in speakers? or do you need to plug the mixer to the speaker port on my computer? and if so does the mixer have a port to connect my speakers?

    Thanks for the video.

  • @mrvalero305 It is a USB peripheral, so it needs to connect to your computer and use whatever audio output you have setup from there.

  • how does the headphone thing work then? how can you hear the tracks that you're mixing? like deck A and B in separate ears?

  • @AllAboutTheZee You need to purchase or install a 2nd sound card or USB headset and setup the app for the second card.

  • @NEMusicSupply can i use a 5.1 audio external usb sound card?

  • @AllAboutTheZee or any other external sound card?

  • @AllAboutTheZee Yup, exactly.

  • @AllAboutTheZee You set one channel to your speakers (audio out on one card) and the Other channel to the audi out on the Other sound card with headphones hooked up.

  • i can connect the turntables to computer (usb) but ti doesnt work as in scratching and stuff please help!

  • @DJCOP3FTDJAliG What app are you using and what exactly IS working? You're better of contacting us at the store and see what we can do to help.

  • Nice, yea the disco DJ is way under-rated

  • that thing would be sick if you could plug headphones directly into it.

  • @1982labman I agree. For that you can get the Numark iDJ3. It's not listed at the store yet, but I can order them.

  • @NEMusicSupply cool but they cost x3 as much..

  • does it also work for virtual dj??

  • @carlcarl15 It has been noted by some users here that it is compatible.

  • @NEMusicSupply thank you very much!

  • does this work with Traktor? Thanks!

  • @junnkster While I have never used Traktor myself, I do believe it is compatible (according to tractorbible)

  • ok thanks for clearing that up but whats the sound card for... do i need one thats especially for dj turntable that are like $100 or more or just a simple one thats like $30 will do the job

  • @jorge9037 Your factory internal sound card in your laptop will trasnmit the audio through your speakers. You would only need a second sound card if you wanted to setup the multi-channel sound.

  • do i need a sound card if i have a hp pavilion laptop with windows vista

  • @jorge9037 Make/model don't matter. As noted previously a few times, you need sound for the audio to transmit. This is just a peripheral.

  • We have them at the store...

  • where can i get one??

  • Um um um do u need to buy a sound card?

  • @raverone100 If you don't have one, yes.

  • i have the same one i lost the license key cani have yours please

  • @bubbarocksbeans Seriously?

You will need to contact the store you purchased it from or contact ION Audio directly.

  • @monkeyseemonkeydo172 i think wad you are asking is like you play music on youtube and want to mix?

if yes.. you can't/\.. the song has to be in com.. as in downloaded ready..

  • it is meant for digital audio usage with the inluded (or other tested) application.

  • can you run it on a pc or do you have to use a mac?

  • @robidappi As noted previously:

Windows XP, Vista or 7 (32-bit and 64-bit supported)

Mac OS X 10.4 or later (including Snow Leopard)

  • @NEMusicSupply i am going to get this so you have to tell me this can it run with out the software?

  • @suzuke352 that doesn't make sense. it's an interface so it requires SOME sort of software to do something.

  • @NEMusicSupply ok but i meant if you had like a cd that was in the computer or some kind of record or cd player that you was using could it still mix the music

  • @SuperTheRene

i heard it, i heard it XD Lolololol

  • does it work with youtube music (reply)

  • @Monkeyseemonkeydo712 I don't know what you mean... It works with music on your local computer only.

  • might seem like a dumb question but if i have a stereo syste plugged into my macbook through an auxillary cable using the only port on there will the dj sounds come through the stereo?

  • @devdude75 If I understand you correctly, you are using the Stereo as your speakers correct? If so then it will play the same thing you head on your Mac.

  • @SuperTheRene haha he did

  • just to be clear, is it true this doesn't have a headphone jack?

  • @Kevo726 That is correct, you use the headphone jack(s) from your PC.

  • @NEMusicSupply but then how do you split the audio into two channels? one to the speakers while another to headphones?

  • @Kevo726 As mentioned previously, I used a USB sound card. If you have multiple channels out, you can define them accordingly.

  • Nice video Bobby, thanks!

  • @brendanduley Thank you, hope it was helpful.

  • dose the scratch things turn arround as the songs are on ??

  • @Brandocollins2000 I think I know what you're asking here.... The "scratch things" are free turning to allow you to modify the song speed/direction/etc during playback.

  • can you use WAV tracks like windows media player to mix?

  • @ChaosBrosFilms875 Yes, M4A, AIFF, WAV, MP3, FLAC and OGG are all officially supported.

  • @SuperTheRene ya thts wat i thought he said i was just about to comment on it

  • Can you use Virtual Dj with it?

  • @Str8Ezy It's been a noted a few times that it should work with VirtualDJ (although not officially supported)

  • can you make dubstep with it at all?

  • @aechard123 I haven't made any myself, and the built-in app is meant more for mixing/scratching so I do not know.

  • @aechard123 -1 internets

  • is there headphone plugin an speed of music?

  • @MrStrudelPopje As noted previously, there is no headphone jack(s) as it is a USB peripheral. Sounds is dependant on your compute. You can controll the speed of the music via the peripheral or automatic speed matching from the software.

  • IM GETTING THIS

  • Hey NEMusicSupply, what do you think about the Numark Dj2GO? Is this better than that? What's the main difference? Thank you so much.

  • @lflm89 We haven't received a DJ2GO demo unit yet, but it seems as though it has similar functionality. It also seems as though the Track A->Track B transitions might be a little easier.

  • @lflm89 you are obviously new to djing. the basic just of it is this, the numark dj 2 go is for dj's to use as a back up or if something with their set goes wrong. the discover dj is for people who want to get into djing. if you want to get into djing, do not buy this piece of shit. get a more respectable controller like the vestax typhoon, which is also a entry level unit.

  • Hey if you don't like it and you unboxed it and everything can you take it back and get your money back? cause I got the 3 year warranty and I bought it today plz comment rite away!

  • @thewhitehawk2009 what are you talking about? If you bought it somewhere with a 3-year warranty, it's up to that retailer to honor whatever warranty they offered as well as any pre-define return policies.

  • Hi , great vid . i was wondering what else i would need to Dj at a gig other than this. i am a beginner help would be very appreciated ,Thanks !

  • works with windows 64 bit?

  • @UnRevoked360 Yes.

  • Can any one tell me how I get music to play on speaker, while the song thats loading plays in headphones

  • i really want to buy this product!!!, but i need to know something first.... is the software compatible with zune software instead of itunes... or in othe words... can i import songs from my zune library? Thanks!!!

  • @jvboy88 While the software doesn't have support direct-importing from your Zune library (like iTunes), you should be able to simply search for your Zune library and manually browse to the files.

  • @Cr33DMineCr4ft this is what I have been told, and has been mentioned in previous posts.

  • can it make dubstep?

  • @FMLbot IF you are able to successfully great some good loops and bass tracks, I don't see why not.

  • PLEASE HELP!. Ive always wanted to be a DJ. Could I hook up this to my Laptop and hook up a Mixer to my laptop?!

  • @1241Keith1421 It is meant to hook up to your laptop, however you would require additional hardware to hook up a mixer successfully and functionally. You might want to opt for a more advanced system.

  • Do u need recoreds for this ION Audio iCUE3 Discover DJ System?

  • @DjPaw1991 No. As you'll notice in the video, the rotating surfaces are for sound manipulation.

  • @NEMusicSupply Al right bro im So getting one of Thosee ! ha

  • Check out my idj3 mixx!!

    watch?v=44vcDVTFlJ4

    thanks!

  • Hey, do you know where i can get that software for this product. Because i got the dj keyboard, but i lost my installation cd

  • @Freshneszz You will need to contact the store you purchased it or contact ION Audio directly.

  • hey, ive this equipament and i have the mixvibes as well, but im having a problem, i dont know why the mixvibes is asking again for the serial number, but ive lost it!! do you know somewhere i can find another one??

  • @mbcarrilho You will need to contact ION Audio customer support to request a new one.

  • @NEMusicSupply how do you get the damnregistratio key!

  • The play button on this one doesnt work for me?

  • @adeelies Ok... have you ried contacting ION Audio (if it's under warranty)?

  • @NEMusicSupply I returned it. It was the display one because it was the last one left so that could be why

  • @SuperTheRene Hahahahah I laughed so hard when I heard that.

  • can u record your mixes?

  • @hazerulez123 The included software does not have recording capabilities, but a 3rd party app that captures audio output will work fine for this.

  • @hazerulez123 you can record your mixes, idk what the hell this guy is talking about, igot this controller last yr but i would not recommend it cuz it only lasted about 3 months till both the software and controller started acting up...but it was great to begin with though...

  • I wanna get this item, looks nice.

But cant I just plug my ear phone jack into the speakers?

  • @VeronicaTurner1 You can plug your headphones into your speakers to listen to whay you're playing, sure.

  • WILL THIS WORK ON FRUITY LOOPS 9? FOR PC

  • @MPire91 While I have not used the app myself and cannot say it will, the consensus in the online communities is yes.

  • Holy sh** I have the same laptop Dell XPS 1330 and we have the Ion Discover dj we are twins :P

  • I bought this thing recently at Toys R Us and I can't figure out how to save mixed songs onto the software. Like I mixed two songs (not that it sounded good or anything) but how do you save it??

  • @JumpSandwich on the top of the diagram animation that shows the tone, bass, and crossfader and ect. on mixvibes, there is a grey button that said REC for record. click that to record then click it agin to stop. then to listen to it, go to the start button on your desktop and go to music and click on the discover dj folder and click the bottom most song (it is titled by the date recorded but you can rename it by left clicking it) click on it and it will open in itunes. hope this helps :)

  • Just to clarify, i have a laptop with one headphone jack, so if i were to mix with headphones to cue would all i need to do is buy a usb adapter ?

  • @funnyplasmadad Well yeah, in a nutshell. USB or PCMICIA sound card configured as a secondary output.

  • I'm about to buy this and I just wanted to be sure. A USB 5.1 Sound Card Adapter would work should I was to use headphones for cues and whatnot?

  • @yerkees9891 That is correct. I used a 2.1USB sound card with mine (no pictured) and simple had to run the audio configuration wizard to specify the independant channel outputs.

  • @NEMusicSupply thanks. the audio config wizard with the DJ software, or just on your computer?

lol sorry I'm being annoying. I figured I'd get all my questions out of the way now.

  • @yerkees9891 Well, both actually... need to setup your pc for the independant outputs, and then let the software know about them. Takes a little tweaking to get it right.

  • @NEMusicSupply i will probably be coming back to you once I get it, just warning you

  • You said toward the end that if you want to mix with headphones, you need an external sound card of some sort. I looked this up on amazon and they offer a bundle which includes the Discover DJ, a USB 2.0 External 5.1 Channel 3D Sound Card Adapter, and a Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo Audio Adapter, C-Media Chipset, RoHS. Would either of the last two work?

  • @yerkees9891 also, does it require batteries or any kind of power source, and does it come with some kind of "Getting Started" manual

  • @yerkees9891 Either sound card setup should be fine, as long as it provides you with a secondary sound car. It does not need batteries, as it is powered via USB. The getting started manual is VERY simple, you will need to do learn more by doing.

  • @NEMusicSupply ok thanks

  • is my hp g61 good?

  • @BR0CKG As long as it meets the minimum specs noted in the product description, you're fine.

  • I just got this today...im not the most "compute savy" person...and i unno if this i fixable or not but i need help

I got everything installed, the turntable lights up, but it wont let me use it in the Cross DJ program. It will let me do everything with my mouse and keys, but...the whole reason i bought a turntable set was so i could us the table O_O haha. Te buttones and everything are lit up, but its not letting me do anything. I got Windows 7, no webcam installed, mic is built in. HELP!!

  • @civicman241 If you have followed the instructions and your computer does not see the Discover DJ device, I would suggest contacting ION Audio for support.

  • @NEMusicSupply Nevermind, theyre working now haha it was just wierd,. MY laptop said i had a webcam driver installed O_O so i just uninstalled that and now it works.

  • @civicman241 Mine worked out of the box. If u still need assistance hit me @ bornasoujah@yahoo.com

  • Please tell me how EXACLY to work this with virtual dj I don't know how to do it

  • @thedrizzlex1 I have not personally used Virtual DJ, so I cannot tell you EXACTLY how. There are many instructions online throughout multiple sites, I would suggest starting there.

  • OK NEED ASSISTANCE, OKAY 1. IS THERE ANY SOUND EFFECTS SUCH AS THE ONES IN VIRTUAL DJ PRO 7?... 2.CAN YOU MAKE THE TURNTABLES SPIN FOR A LONGER TIME TO DO A LONG BACKSPIN?...AND 3. WOULD YO SUGGEST THIS TO BATTLE AGAINST A PROFESSIANAL DJ ?

  • @thedrizzlex1 Any sound effects would be something you would need to import yourself via a audio file, there is nothing embedded. The turntables are fixed, as they are merely a peripheral input for your PC. This ION Discover DJ is designed as an introductory tool to learn some tricks and techinques and have fun. If you are a professional or require more tools, you might want to consider a more capable device.

  • @kobedelgado You'll need to contact ION Audio customer support with your proof of purchase.

  • Would you please explain to me how to hook up headphones?

  • @karmademons You would need to install a 2nd soundcard or configure your current multichannel card to have 2 outputs. You can then send the 2 "outputs" from the software to each channel (one for sound output, one for headphones for queuing, etc.)

  • can you use VirtualDJ?

  • @DJblackmad7 Yes, please see the previous comments.

  • Works perfect with virtual dj and i spent 100$:D

  • Does it have automatic beat matching?

  • @karmademons Yes, it will do manual and auto beat-matching.

  • Does it work with virtual dj??

  • @norvilas13 It will work with some customization of Virtual Dj. There are many articles on the web descriving it, as I have not done it myself.

  • ok ive been using this system for about a month

and i unplugged it to take it inside my house, and now it wont play, i can still use the program and everything works fin but all the lights stay on[sync, rev, cue, play,] i cant use any of the knobs, or the scratch, nothing works how do i fix this??

if you could webcam chat this would be great appreciated

  • @xXemo93kiddXx My suggestion would be to contact ION Tech Support

  • I know almost everything about mine. Anyone with questions just do the @soccerdude248 Thing and I'll answer good video btw

  • Why would this not have upfaders?

  • @Gotwood07 I can't really say. I wasn't part of the product R&D.

  • can u have headphones plugged in?

  • Comment removed

  • @12Elhassan its on the back of the slip your cd came in
