  • your just so pretty

  • @jamesgirl37 thank you girly, I miss you :(

  • how much did u pay and what kind of hair was it? they are expensive? is it easy to put on your self?

  • @zigma10473 my favo, rite one was almost $1000, you can get them for a lot less these days. Mine has been holding up for a couple of years now but i dont wear it all the time. Haven't had to repair it yet either. I wouldn't buy from the seller again though due to price and unreliability. Its easy for me to put on myself after i got off the excess lace i just use bobby pins to keep it secure, i rarely use adheasive. There are a lot of ladies on youtube showing how its done.

  • I am going on a holliday and want to try a lace wig, can i leave it on when i go to bed ( maybe wrap it?)or do i have to take it off everynight

  • @dutchbabe1968 u can sleep with them on, I just dont like to. You're ability to leave it in place is based on your application method, be it adheasives or hair clips, etc. Since i take mine off at night when I do wear it, I prefer to just use hair clips. I use to use adheasives but wearing it to bed drove me crazy. Yes you can definately wrap it.

  • Almost all the girls that i notice which use laces are black womens like Tyra Banks, Beyonce and others. I really dont get, black womens got a beutiful nice hair. Im white but we all would have pride of what we born and who we are right?

    Kisses

  • i uderstand where your are coming from. I know thank I like having options, I like to go from short to long. Many people play with colors that they weren't born with I do the same, its a matter of flexibility i guess (shrug)

  • Alot of people say they use stocking caps under their wigs. So I bought one my color. Problem is it is visible under a wig with glue. The stretchy part on a stocking cap is thicker than the rest of it so it shows 2 shades under my wig. Do you know any solutions to that problem? Because I want to keep my edges and hair safe but the stocking cap makes it look unnatural.

  • I have run into the same problem what i did do was buy an actual stocking tht was my color but in the queen size and i cut off a leg and put in on my head to measure the fit then i cut off the excess. If you do this make sure you cut from the to of the leg down as you measure to fit to your head, then i sewed the end of the stockinng instead of just tying it in a knot so it fit flatter. Its difficult to explain but its somehing that worked when I use to use stockings underneath

  • what does it mean if your lace makes you itch in the front?

  • is this with or without adheasive, so people are allergic to certain adheasives. If this is the case u can do what i do and just not use adheasive but use hair pins to keep unit in place. Hope that helps. U can also try wearing the unit behind your front hair line and just slightly blinding in your own hair kind of like a half wig but not soo far back. I do this while wearing a part in the middle, i just make sure i part my actual hair as well so my scalp line shows under the lace

  • I love the hair you have in the video. Can you tell me where to get one just like it without getting ripped off?

  • i know you said on the sidebar that you over paid for this unit, but trust you look GREAT in it girl! ive been asking all over - wher do you get the lace from? an arts and craft store or a hair store?

  • the actual lace can be bought online there are quite a few vendors u may have to do a search or u can go the economical route and go to the fabric store

  • I'm ordering a lace front and was wondering if I can get your adviced......should I get it single knotted with the knots bleached or double knotted with the knots bleached? I'm going for a more realistic look...but I do want the hair secured....

  • I can't tell you what to get all I can provide is information, bleached knots give a more realistic look because the hair seems to disappear into the lace, bleaching the knots wheather they are double knotted or single knotted decreases the general integrity of the hair where it is bleached, double knotts reinforces the security of the knot more so than a single knot however. Most wig masters use a combination of both, single knots along the front hair line and double knotts everywhere else

  • i have not heard from u in a while..are you done posting on youtube..miss yoy

  • Where did you get your unit from that you got on?

  • gurl what is that sound when u put a picture up

  • your so purty girl

  • Hi! Nice video! How do you keep the hair over nite? Where is the best place to purchase a lace wig?

  • secret, i don't sleep in it i take it off every night and i can do that because i just use hair clips to keep it secured when i do wear it.

  • You are a lifesaver! I was so uninfomed on how to buy a wig and you just saved me from spending hundreds on the wrong type of wig. Your info is great.

  • awesome, so glad u can safe yourself the hassles that i had

  • good job look at the camera next time

  • ive been on utube for hours looking for EXACTLY what u are talking about...AWESOME!!!!!

  • Is "Fray Block" the name of he knot sealer at Wal Mart

  • i've never heard of that product but a very cost effective option is hair spray.

  • the wal mart knot sealer is actually an acrylic spray called "PATRICIA'S NIMROCKS" CLEAR ACRYLIC SEALER PRODUCT NUMBER CS2000307 it is available for 5.00 and it is the best knot sealer i have found so far 1 can will last a long time

  • thanks so much for sharing

  • u should put up a video how to put on a lace wig

  • Where did you buy your unit?

  • please see side bar

  • HI! Your videos are very informative. Thanks so much. Do you sell lace wigs?

  • thank you but i'm sorry i don't sell lace wigs

  • thank you for all the info on your video's on lace wigs.... my question is how do i keep the lace wig on? i have tried many glues but it will not stay... can you tell what glue is the best and how to keep it on... thank for any help you can give,,,,

  • Found the vid you were referring to. My question is if I want full lace w/ stretch from ear to ear, are all the measurements still important or are the circ., and nape the most important?

  • yes very much so, if a unit a little small for u even with the stretch in the lace, u will feel the pull at your skin from the tension. The stretch, to me was helpful when braiding the hair underneath, and also for pulling down the areas where the side burns would be. Hope this helps

  • Did you say "Jamesgirl" did a vid on how to apply the widows peak?

  • hi i am from the bahamas and i wanted to know where do u get your units from?

  • please see side bar for more information

  • Hi usv84,

I had dreadlocks & recently cut it all off so I have very short hair.

I'm very interested in the lace wigs & would love to have one.

I've seen a few of your videos and I know what I need, but what techniques do I use to actually make my wig?

Did I miss your video of you making one? If not, will you ever make a video?

Also, I'll like to thank you for all you tips. You're helpful & very beautiful.

  • where are you getting your unit from

  • you and your hair are beautiful... where did you buy it.

  • Do you have to shave back your hairline to wear a lace unit? Is yours shaved back?

  • no no no, you don't have to and shouldn't have to shave it back but i understand your question as it is a little difficult to get the look you want if your forehead is small, or if there is little space between your hairline and eyebrows. Some overcome this by leaving more lace out along the hair line to apply on the skin so that you don't have to pull the hairline down so low on your forehead.

  • Your tips are GREAT! One of my most concerned questions is can you style it with gel?

  • I guess you can. The thing is, gels contain alcohol which is drying to the hair. Once the hair is damaged it will not replenish itself. I don't use gel so that I don't decrease the life of the hair.

  • But most gels don't really have alcohol, do they? Cause I try my best to find the ones that don't.

  • where do you buy you lace front wigs from

  • not quite as as long as urs maybe 16inches would be better..plz help thanks

  • hey sweetie thanks again for responding.now im a bit confused because im ordering my lace from a manufacturer in china n she sent me a pic of wat 14inches looks like...n it seemed to be quite long to me...i dunno if she sent tme the wrong pic or something, but she said thats the lenght 14inches will be...i dunno if u want me to send u the pic soo u can see.but u said that ur hair is 22inches yea? i want my lacewig to end at jus resting on my breast

  • hey great video...im thinkin of gettin a lace unit also..i was thinking of maybe numba 1 14inches with indian remy yaki texture hair..but i was wondering how long would the 14inches be? do u have any idea?

  • My first unit was 14 inches and it was not long enough for me. But it is all on what you prefer. If u measure from the front hair line 14inches back over your head that is how long it would be, however keep in mind that you will have 14inches near the nape of your neck as well so it will appear longer (since you will have approximately 14 inch strands all over).

  • What is the advantages of having a Lace Front? Just curious. Because if it stays in you hair, why not sew it in or even glue it?

  • The big hype about LFWs is the fact that u can part it anywhere and have the illusion of hair growing out of your scalp as opposed to having a regular wig that cannot be styled as desired. It can be worn however u like, people do glue it or sew it in. It can be worn as desired.

  • can it also be braided in medium and small cornrows?

  • They do glue it on.

  • It absolutely can be braided in cornrows, there are many pics avialable online to show examples of that.

  • Just came across your videos and I am totally confused. I take it that you have a wig on??? Lace front I guess. The funny thing is that it seems like a lot of maintance. My hair is an exact replica of yours BUT it is glued in. EXACTLY like yours, not quite as long because my front is layered and it loes seem like yours is full. But the method you used in your other video of tying your hair with a do rag and then curing it is nice. I often wanted that flat at the top but curly at the bottom look

  • where do you get your lace wigs?

  • See side bar

  • i love your wig! where can i get one similar to that one?

  • what do you mean by knots in the wig???

  • the hair is secured by knots which can be seen if you look closely. The show up as little dots, most people have thier knots bleached so that they are not visible and it gives the illusion that the hair is growing out of the scalp, i hope that helps

  • yes thank you so very much. I was also wondering... I have dark hair, light scalp, do i need a cap?

  • I use a cap because I found that without the cap my hair (which is dark underneath the cap) does not help with giving the illusion of hair growing from my scalp. The darkness still showed through the lace otherwise.

  • Where is the best place to order a chaep lace unit from? thanks for sharing all the good info on lace units.

  • check out the link to get info on some of the trusted vendors, it also gives you info on some of the vendors that are not to be trusted.

  • where did you get the wig you have on now?

  • from someone who ripped me off, grrrrrrrrrr!!!!

  • hey r4eading your blog guuurrrlll yo you putting them on blast woa so worth reading saving alot of people from losing they're hard earn money thank you :O

  • chucky hilights,,,, a bored stylist. lol

  • not streaks lol strokes lol more like chucky highlights

  • LOL i know, chunky highligts oh boy, who came up with that technique?

  • Thanks for so much info

  • hey could you do a vid talking about natural hair lines? without buying a custom unit

thats why I'm hesitant to buy one and I'm cheap aspirin az hell

  • You are so helpful = ] I just got a flw from ebay I hope it looks as nice as yours haha

anyways what is the brand of glue you use??

I was goin to just get tape but Im not sure??

your vids rock keep up the good work = ]

  • Thank you, I use Mastix P spirit gum if I use an adheasive, otherwise I use hair clips or nothing at all.

  • Love the video, Girl you just made me buy a full lace wig....lol

I normally wear sewn in weaves, but now i'm starting to think that instead of getting my hair done every month or two, I can save money. Which is better sewn in or lace? In your opinion. Keep the videos comming :)

  • do you have to wear a stocking cap?

  • no not at all i just use it now because it shows up under the lace and looks like my scalp instead of the lace appearing dark with my natural hair underneath

  • What vendors do you purchase from?

  • All my units were bought before i started being cheap and they were all rip offs i also experienced difficulty with some of the vendors, for this reason i don't share where i got my units from. I would hate for anyone to go through what i did

  • great info!!!!...love these vids!

  • Thanks for the info. Question, do you advise washing your unit on, or taking it off and washing it! I already have one and I'm not sure if I can wash it on. Thanks!

  • Definately off, but that is my opinion only because it is difficult to dry your natural hair under the unit, very uncomforable.

  • Thanks for the info, this will come in handy as I am planning to order my lace front unit for the upcoming holidays!
