nice ive got one of these, its air force though, and it flies great! my local airport just bought a real one of these. i see it fly over my house a lot, along with the at6 texan , the stearman pt17, and the extra 300s that they bought
I killed mine with a hammer after I made a better plane out of blue Dow foam it's a PAK FA and i will be making a f22 and selling plans but not now :D horrible plane and my first
these planes fly great! i own 2 of the Ultra micro T-28 and its bigger brother. they are some of my fav and i have alot in the hangar. I recommend the Ultra Micro T-28! especially if you can fly 4 channel. I fly 3D and have been in the game awhile, but these T-28's just fly so good!
@subron6er No, this would be a bit too much for a beginner. An excellent, durable airplane for a beginner would be the SuperFly. Google SuperFlyRC and you should find a link.
@subron6er Or a Dynam Hawksky- with our crashproofing, they become almost indesctructible, which is good for new fliers (we have a kit for the Parkzone T-28, too) VERY NICE FLYING tramsootru- beautiful plane handling- are you into air combat, by any chance? And are you near New York?
@subron6er i would recommend a hobbyzone super cub for beginners, ive owned one for 2 years and its been amazing, im now going to upgrade to this plane
@subron6er Yes they are awesome flyers and can fixed easily if not destroyed. Some good clear packing tape and Gorilla glue works wonders. I bought one for my first plane and love it. A flight SIM really helps too. Pricey but worth it. JMO Get the PhoneixRC with the Dx5 and u get a transmitter and SIM all in one. LOVE mine!!! Nitro Planes . com sells a version of the plane a little cheaper.
@Tramsootru doesn't look very aggressive... this plane will hold up to almost anything in the air though, but it will of course get some damage if you nose first into the ground.
They cannot be destroyed and are immortal. You can hurt them, but they come back to life pretty easily. I am convinced that styrofoam T-28s will one day take over the Earth in it's entirety.
@Menecroth1 seriously i crashed it onto a shipping container(hit hard enough to make an echo)bounced of a table(separating wings from fuselage)..the only damage was some giant cracks.... 2 days later after buying new parts($10) it was out there flying high!
@SMOOthiEINAJAR Lol! I'm tellin' ya! They'll take over the Earth! But yeah, they're great little planes. My Dad and I have wrecked ours more times than I can count now and it's so easy to fix them. Also great to learn on and thus I've recommended them to several people who've come by the field asking about a good plane to start with. By the way, we're on our third fuselage but the original wings are still there. There's some packing tape holding part of the wing together but it works just fine!
@nswledgend88 I guess that is a decision you have to make.. I have gotten my money's worth out of the plane.. I bought mine used from another guy though..
@nswledgend88 No it is great actualy, it means the plane is quite crash resistant, easy to repair, and it still looks good. Besides that, the Trojan handles like a champ. I have the T28D and it flies great, lots of power, and responds well. Only problem i have is to slow her down for landing ^^
@nswledgend88 Foam is much more durable and forgiving for a beginner pilot, which is what the Parkzones are aimed at. Much easier to replace than balsa as well.
@nswledgend88 yes foam and let me tell you when you stack one up you can hit them with a couple of tooth picks and some glue and zip kicker and you are back up and flying in minutes. You won't be so lucky with a stick built plane. I fly the Apprentice and it is all foam and it flys great and is easy to repair if you should burn in.
I started on the t-28 this year, I have only flown helis before. I have already moved up to an edf jet. Pilots of all skill levels at my field still love the t-28!
Nice vid.I Bought 2 of those last year but never got to fly them. THe first one didnt work at all, no power to anything. I returned it and bought a second one and only have the control surfaces worked. I took it as a sign that i was not supposed to spend 200$ on a plane and returned it and never bought another one. I think that I might get one again this winter for some early morning cold air flights
Nice flying! You're surely having a blast flying this plane! This is the next plane I'm willing to buy for sure. For a 3 channel parkflyer to a 4 channel one ailerons are not a big issue if you practice alot with your flying sim.
thanks for the reply, i have been told "get one of the other 3 channel parkzone warbirds as your next step up" but im thinking, cant i just get the bad-ass t-28 and just not use rudder until i need it and keep it on low rates? i used a simulator in hobbytown and i really had no trouble at all. thanks again, and i hope to be able to fly the t 28 like you one day
Rudder isn't gonna make it harder to fly.. You're already used to rudder with the Cub you've been flying.. The ailerons are what are going to be different for you.. If you can fly it without any issues for several flights on the sim, you'll be golden..
Or you can do what i did and make the t-28 have the rudder plugged into the alieron servo and have the alieron plugged into the rudder so if you want you can try the alieron and just get used to the flight with the plane then move on
@Tramsootru great advice your giving and great flying. I have only been in the Hobby now for 3 months started with the micro j3cub, mico p51, then the Trojan with no problems. It looks intimidating but flys like a big beautiful Cadillac. Hardest part on first couple of flights were to get my hands to stop shaking, I looked at it in my laundry room for two weeks before I finally sacked up. Good times freakin love this new hobby!

yesterday i just figured out a great way to break the t-28. it survived many crash landing but it wont survive get rolled over by a 40t truck:) The story: i used to fly it on a small field surounded by trees a road and some hills (swiss):) the snow fell and the sight wasnt that good. After a excellent takeoff on the snow i touched a tree and crashed on the road just in front of the truck. Well the trojan is now flat and i think the pilot is dead(his head is still missing:) Misson failed
For all you with a trojan i would get another lipo that the stock one.Its a piece of crap.Ive had to have it looked at twice in the last two months.O and i found a way to break the trojan when your coming in to an emergency landing dont hit the guide wire.the whole wing pops off which was cool.

O.Well i was askin because the stock battery that was included with mine wont hold a charge or something.I charged it for almost two hours, and still not charged.btw what battery did you use jw?
hey cool video.I was wondering when you charged the included 1800 mah lipo battery how long did it take to fully charge?I spent about a hour and half charging it,and it still isnt fully charged.
Great fligth .. The T-28 is a great plane. And i dont understand your title .. trying to brake it ? i smashed mine into the ground LOL. it broke preatty easly but was very easy to fix also . 40 $ and 1 houre of fun :D
been abusing my trojan pulling mad G's and yet nothing happen :P could the wing folding on your cub was due to the fact that you didnt put the suporting wing thing back ? :P
You mean the struts?, Yes, I had the struts on, this happened after a slight radio malfunction during flight which caused it to dive about 75 feet strait down at full throttle. When I recovered, I pulled back all the way to keep from crashing. The wing broke at about 5 feet up but the only other damage was a bent landing gear.
Hi, I have a super cub, I mastered it on the first day, I now have around 15 hours of flying time, I am now considering the trojan. Does it really go up 500ft at 80 degrees? Also, do you think I am ready for it? Please respond.
Best Trojan Video I have seen!!! I really liked how you kept the action close to the camera instead of those people that have their plane takeoff and you get to watch a speck move around the screen util its time to land. Great Flying too...
Got a few years on me then. Yea I destroyed a camera today in the crash I had with my t-28 but with some epoxy the plane will be good to go not so much with the camera that was mounted in the fuselage. The film however will be on my page sometime within the next hour or so.
Man im impressed to say the least! How long have you been flying rc's all together ? ive got just under 30 flights in total the last 5 or so of which are on my t-28 :D
This is the best T-28 parkzone video I have seen yet! Awesome flying!!! Especially, the inverted flying. You nailed it! Also...camera man did a great job!
I dont think you can do maneuvers with that plane that are g enough to break it. plus its really durable :-)

It has more to do than just with the pack..
What C rating is your pack?
What motor are you planning on running?
You need to take the entire power system to make a guess as to how it will perform..
The stock motor will not have unlimited vertical, regardless of the battery pack you put in it..

Pulling G's on these things can snap the wing, I did it to my Super Cub once during a loop, but I was able to fix it in less than an hour.

been abusing my trojan pulling mad G's and yet nothing happen :P could the wing folding on your cub was due to the fact that you didnt put the suporting wing thing back ?
