At 0:54 you are taking off the front plastic cover and you make it look so easy, but I want to install an optical drive and I cannot do that! Any hints to help me?
@TheNitFace meh, as we speak im ordering my order of i7 3,4ghz 1155 socket with sabertooth motherboard 8gb of ram and 750psu with Radeon HD6950 ^^ so my budget aint low! :p
@iNekoNaru When I got my parts, the store was closing in 5 minutes so I just ran and grab any case I can find. Now I've got Cooler Master RC-942 case to fit my SR2 motherboard.
With the size of the case and the PSU being bottom mounted, do you have any problems with the 4 pin ATX power wire being long enough to reach the plug all the way at the top of the case? I am planning to use that same Mobo. Which PSU did you use?
I got 3 Computer building questions! 1. Can i put a AM3 Processor in a AM2 / AM2+ Motherboard?, 2, Is there a difference between SATA 3, SATA 2 and SATA. Like If I can plug in a SATA 3 HDD and a SATA DVD Drive in a Motherboard that it says 4x SATA, 3. Can i put my Videocard that it says PCI-E, It also says PCI-E 2.0, In any of these included holes : 1 x PCIe x16, 1 x PCIe x1, 2 x PCI ?
An answer as soon as possible would be appreciated.
I just bought the case but the problem is 140mm fan they are like enigma I can find anything to a 120mm fans and 200-220mm fans but 140mm are hard to find, never the less I find it bought it and found 140mm dust filter witch are even harder to find now I have 4 140mm blue LED fans and a stock fan that was in front i move it in the back so 4x1400mm Blue + 1x120mm Blue all with dust filters. I have to say cable manegmet in this case was great! The case itself is great! And it's look great! THX CM!
@MICKMOFFAT Yeap! It fits well iven you have 1 centimeter to the drive bay. The is 270mm and 5770 is 267mm(10.5 inch), but the 5870 is 14.5 inch so....
Good informative video-- no crazy evil distracting music to ruin the review. I did a simple basic build video on this case also, I saw it for $49.00 & free shipping and liked the looks and features for the money so had to build one. Its well built, easy to work with, and like many coolermasters will probly last forever unless you need more space or special features. The chrome trim on the front looks amazingly like chromed steel even though its not. Not a "Transformer", but has good looks.
I just got this from NE for $50.00 & free shpng--A1 deal. I Posted a video on my build, simple MATX, no vid card yet as Im laid off. When I saw it on sale I grabbed it,--very pleased. A+ airflow, CPU cooler access hole, tons of drive space, nice looks. Hard to beat, especially on sale w//free shipping. Sorry now I didnt paint the inside, may yet. Even with all fan ports filled with low rpm fans its decently quiet. Theres bigger and better, but not many for $49.00 & free shpng.
I have a HAF 922 from CoolerMaster. My problem is, the front 200x30mm fan is sucking too much dusts! Is there something I can buy to cover the front, so I can eliminate the dusts that are being sucked infront of my case?
@halfpol take AMD Phenom II 965 @ 3.4 ati radeon hd 4870, 4890, 5750 (shitter than 4890 and 4870) or 5770 4gb-6gb ddr3 1600mhz -------- but if u wanna pay more take -------- core i7 920 4gb-6gb 1600mhz ddr3 5870/5850/5970 Take DX11 graph. card !
What are your recommended set of parts for a guy with a 500-800 dollar budget, in this economy my family can't really afford much but I would really love it if you made a video of recommended parts ranging from my budget, and maybe a Bftb video ( bang for buck parts )... I know I may be asking too much of your time but I would greatly appreciate your time and effort. Thank You
im fucking pissed right now, turned on my computer this morning (that i built), while it was running after like 20 minutes, my cpu heatsink fell of, computer shut down and the heatsink hit my videocard and snapped off one of the little plastic pieces i need to mount a heatsink, that was the start to my wonderful day
i got the CoolerMaster CM 690 NVIDIA Edition case =D 99.99$ was a good price =D many CM cases have the 120mm or 140mm fans at the bottom in the front
the CM690 has better HDD tool-less design. the case is still pretty good, the 80mm fan behind the CPU in cm690 is an awesome feature. i got a vid on my channel of the case n my system =D
PCWIZKID U HAVE THE SAME MOBO AS MY BROTHER!!!!!!!!!! LMAO WAT A COINCIDENCE. The mobo is good right?
i like the slide and snap design but i dont like the plastic-front-snap design. cooler master could do much better than that, they just get lazy nowadays.
Excellent case for the money !! I'll have to get one, mabye after christmas, just finished"ish" a build, i couldnt use my dell case so had to use an ancient micro, its funny lookin, disk drive hangs outa the top, its only 2 legs, no plastic covering, and no side, i almost had to jump on everything just to make it all fit inside :D
I'm very Impressed with your review on this case and information of implements that your able to install in the case. Some what better than most of CNET reviews or PCMag. reviews I've seen. Good Review
I wonder why he opted to install the CM heatsink/fan pointing up. I guess since there is no rear fan to help blow exhaust out, up is the next option. And heat rises. Only downside I see is that top 140MM fan is pretty slow and if I recall those heatsinks use a 2000 RPM fan, so it won't help push air out any better. Anyhow, the case looks good. I like the cut out for easy heatsink removal and installation. Having to remove the MB every time you get a new cooler sucks.
thanks for going into so much detail! i have been looking for a good case for a while now and this one looks perfect i think i will pick this one up. Thank you PCWizkid!
I've really been liking almost all of Cooler Master's cases lately! From the elite 330, 335, Centurion 590, to the HAF922 and the Scout and Sniper. All great cases for their price range!
