I love men. I've always worked surrounded by men and they love and respect me as much as I love and respect them. I'm very definitely a feminist. Bottom line for a feminist, male or female? when i was 5 years old, a 3 year old girl put her hand on my thighs in the middle of some innocent play. She can say she is taking pills but is not, she can take a pill next day if she doesn't want it, not to mention men are competers, women are CHOOSERS. It's proven though that in most cases men don't walk away, they are removed of the equation by the mother.

@SuperPais I find it quite ironic that most countries are run by men who make the majority of the decisions yet feminism is what gets blamed for the Family Court being the way it is. If fathers spend as much time with the kids as the mothers, they surely have a better chance at getting custody. Feminism has nothing to do with it: the law does. Change the laws and you're more than halfway there. Finger pointing never gets you anywhere.

This whole "male rights" movement is just a backlash against the fact that women are being treated equally. They are trying to shifted the issue of oppression on their side, but that is very irrational because men were never oppressed by women.
Oprah has never bashed the entire male gender, in fact she is married.
Most moderate feminist agree that society is changing for the better but there are still a few changes that need to be made. It's not that they believe that all males should suffer, but instead just make changes that benefit both genders. There are still a few sexist concepts of society.

A look at the majority of the MRA vids and comments posted by boys/men on youtube is good evidence that misogyny is rampant in the movement - the same mistakes that have been displayed in the past in parts of the feminist movement. If these movements expect to do anything, they should drop the gender politics and instead focus on humanitarianism.

I would say that Misandry is as old an issue as Misogyny- Men have been dying in wars since time immemorial- which is not to say women haven't suffered too. When women were barred from working outside the home, men were expected to bring in all the money and keep their loved women in comfort . . .

She can say she is taking pills but is not, she can take a pill next day if she doesn't want it, not to mention men are competers, women are CHOOSERS. It's proven though that in most cases men don't walk away, they are removed of the equation by the mother.

If fathers spend as much time with the kids as the mothers, they surely have a better chance at getting custody. Feminism has nothing to do with it: the law does. @Eceoes MRA's are behaving just as badly as what they accuse their feminist counterparts of being. A look at the majority of the MRA vids and comments posted by boys/men on youtube is good evidence that misogyny is rampant in the movement - the same mistakes that have been displayed in the past in parts of the feminist movement. If these movements expect to do anything, they should drop the gender politics and instead focus on humanitarianism.

I completely agree with you. People forget that the whole feminist movement was about equality in the very first place, but many boys (in my mind they are still boys and not mature men) in the MRA like to portray feminism with male hatred which is completely un true.
I think that all progressive movements whether it's feminism, civil rights, etc should be based on humanitarianism, to make the world a better place for all.

I would say that Misandry is as old an issue as Misogyny- Men have been dying in wars since time immemorial- which is not to say women haven't suffered too. When women were barred from working outside the home, men were expected to bring in all the money and keep their loved women in comfort . . .
