  • PTSD is real my dad was a Vietnam era Marine he died in mid 200 and still had nightmares from the 70's he saw things over there that would curl your toenails and we havent really gotten any better with our homecoming for the Middle eastern Vets just let them back into society and give them the mental help they deserve a lot of them are barely old enough to go to a bar much less see things that would make rob zombie sick just leave them be

  • thank you for you service

  • how can you say obama as made this country better you like paying high gas you like paying more for everything. he is a nut and so are you

  • My grandfather, who is now passed on, served in WW2. He never talked about it of course. I know a few things he went through, though not much. Watching this video gave me the courage i needed to face my day. Knowing how much he and his fellow soldiers suffered, I was ashamed. My days and problems are nothing compared to what he faced in those battles. Thanks Pop, and Thank you Montgomery Gentry, for singing these songs that remind us. We all need it.

  • It's funny.. Most veterans / active duty servicemen hate country.

    >See Generation Kill

  • @StrictlyForAirsoft Pull your head out of your ass! I am a DV and proud. Grab a weapon and stand a post! I would in a heartbeat!

  • @StrictlyForAirsoft your name says strictlyfor airsoft and your telling people to relate to generation kill which was a t.v. show...I can automatically tell your a loser.

  • @cntryboi223 What about my name? That makes no sense.

  • @StrictlyForAirsoft your making relations to real military vets, buy using generation kill, which is a TV SHOW, not real life.

  • @cntryboi223 Which had accounts of real Marines. Rudy was played by himself.

  • i have great uncles that are still missing in the korean and vietnam was and all i have to know them by is pictures and the stories my granddad tells me...ron paul needs to take money and start a committee to go and get OUR PEOPLE BACK HOME

  • My Daddy has been in Iraq 3 times and In Korea idk how many times. Im proud to be an Army Brat<3

and my grand daddy was in tha Vietnam War.

Love you Daddy And Paw Paw<3

  • Thanks big bro! You are gone but NOT forgotten!

  • Thank u to my father and all Vietnam vets u deserve more then what u got coming home. My father is the reason i joined in the Army

  • Fuck you Ron Paul and your ads for making me have to skip them! You never even served your country!

  • @TuffLuck777 He was a surgeon in the armed services during vietnam. I think that qualifies as serving your country.

  • @mystizo9 I stand corrected.

  • yeah

  • seved 2 years iraq

  • i just finished my 5 years and am back home now for good, spent 15 months in iraq and 9 in afghanistan, this song makes alota sense

  • @JoeBob12985 Thank you dude for your service. You're more of a man than 98% of civilians could ever dream of being.

  • Thanks dad *Salute*

  • i love this song & what it stands for..."didn't i do my best ..& wasn't home here when i left"... that's deep

  • love thsi song.

  • i think tht ppl just like to start shit about things they dont understand to get ppl riled up and it is working... you guys cant let some igit come in and stomp our men AND WOMEN who gave them the right to be so naive i understand tht but you cant beat him down for his own beliefs... he is entitled to be stupid.

  • Lets stand and Thank all the men and women that give there strangth there sweat there tears and there lives to keep us free as a fellow Marine I stand and salute my Brothers and Sisters in there on going fight SEMPER FI

  • This song is my life right now... why do people sit and judge and talk shit about us vets who fought in this war.. when their biggest worry in their life was probably what shirt they wanted to wear, mine and my men's worries were making it out alive each day

  • @joeyaldridgemusic ...first off, let me, on behalf of all true American's, apologize for those stupid, selfish people who r blind & incorrectly judge u, and thank u for your service to our country, keeping us safe.

To answer your question, IMO ppl sit and judge and talk shit about vets because they r stupid, blind, and stubborn fools who can't see past their own fairy-tale rainbow land they've concocted in their minds. They automatically h8 every1 who reminds them that that land doesnt exist...

  • @joeyaldridgemusic

The fucking depression makes is so hard sometimes :(

  • shit kids well stnd post for y well pick up the load half u boys wont. your welcome.

    semper fi

  • i bet this video was hard to do for these old vets. you wanna meet a strong true blooded hard american talk to an old vietnam vet. im a female marine and in boot we had four of em come talk to us tell us there stories same in high school when i left theres anold timer who worked with my daddy he did 5 tours in nam and had purple harts and a thick beard to cover up his scarred face. its folks like that and our familys and what we grew up on that makes us do what we do. keep bitchin bout petty

  • james richard luckey was in the frountline vietnam. he was just a kid. when he got back no one respected what he did. he had atlest 3 purple hearts. im his nephew. i would like to say THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE SERVED

  • I rpoudly served and would happily do it again if my country so desired it. Why? because I am happy to be a part of my land and wish to do everything I can for those who have the same apriciation and respect for it that I do. And for those who do not.... well there's the door.

  • @Shouvak No one has to go anywhere you moron. I dont mind watching you being used like a dildo by the government.

  • @carsiotto youi really are a dumbass and I truly hope our paths will never cross, that youi truly believe we would still be even a fraction of the nation that we are now if we never went to war. If our people never volenteered to go and serve. you do realize that the reason there is no Draft is because we have volunteers right? you comment is an unedgucated one and I truly hope you are not of this country because youi would most certainly bring it shame.

  • If you havnt served you have no voice or opinion in these matters!!!

  • @110470691 you're a fucking idiot. Considering that it is the citizen population that has to shape the legacy of wars, what you just said was fucking stupid.

  • i appreciate how these two are not afraid to support our military, when i was in the army in the 80's soem of the men I served with were vietnam vets, and they carried so much pain frmo what the libtards did to them and said to them when they got home, almost all of my uncles served there, they all came home, but a couple of them told me before they passed away, they felt safer over there and more appreciated than when they came home. I love my country, I have bled for it, and I have cried it.

  • what the hell is wrong with this country these days? what happened to the country my great grandfather fought for in WWII? my father also fought for this country twice, desert storm and whatever we are supposed to call this war, and what did he get when he came back from iraq the second time? nothing except a couple of flags and a friend telling him that he might go back in a few months!!!

  • @lightning267100 I am truly sorry to hear about your father, and you are right our job is far from done in iraq and we will need to go back a second time beacuase our leader thought we were done.

  • I joined the navy because of them. (:

  • @silicon605 fuck all the canadians

  • @silicon605 canada has nothing on the us so dont be talking like u r better than good ol' U.S.A

  • Thank you veterans. You deserve our support and respect.

  • I lost a cousin from vietnam. even though i was not around nor did i ever know him, its kinda sombering to know i had family lost in a war. thank you troops for what you do, i want to serve one day as well

  • You idiot, you need to show that man some respect! He's the reason you get the opportunity to sit on your lazy ass and critisize the troops. Vietnam had 53 THOUSAND casulties! Iraq and Afganastan might have 10 if their lucky and thats not to take anything away from them boys! Anyone who lays down their life for this country should have their ass' kissed by little niave little boys that like to play soldier like you. It's called HONOR...Show some! Jackass

  • @slightlyoff1975 No actually, I don't think anybody considers 10 000 casualties "lucky"...

  • @slightlyoff1975 casualties include the wounded; 58K KIA in 'nam, hundreds of thousands wounded, millions mentally ruined for nothing but the CIA's lust for international power, God bless the poor troops used as cannon-fodder. God bless America and the troops, God Damn Uncle [the elitist rulers].

Similarly today, ~8 thousand KIA, tens of thousands of suicides, hundreds of thousands wounded, millions ruined. Only Dr. Paul as Commander in Chief can end this insanity.

  • @Mopar21277 Ron Paul.....Lord help us. I'd rather have a socialist, like the one we currently have, than that nut case. What do they put in the water where you live; if you actually believe the CIA was behind vietnam. Shouldn't you have your tin foil hat on? Just because you have the freedom of speech in America, doesn't mean that normal people want to hear your conspiracy theories.

  • @JnBoy8 i herd he wanted to take a trillion from the govnment we would be in another depresshion!

  • @kevinbrown775 obviously you're very uninformed. stop getting your all your "facts" from fox news. Yes, Ron Paul wants and can cut One Trillion Dollars by ending numberous pointless bureaucratic entities. That would not cause another depression, nevertheless it would save our government a trillion dollars. I suggest you educate yourself and do research for yourself.

  • @mystizo9 wow you must be a genus i mean a trillion in one mans hands would save the us from what obama mad this contry batter then ever befour and pepole hate him it dosnt make any sencs and fox dosnt fave any facts they just hate evre one and ps i serevd my contry 2004 -2005 iraq

I dont care what branch or from what Allied/ Coalition Country you came from, we are all brothers in arms.

    PRO PATRIA (FOR COUNTRY)

  • @MarineInfantry990 God Bless you Brother

  • @MarineInfantry990 Well sir, you have my respect. And thank you, for being a soldier.

  • My father was one of the first Navy Seals to fight in Vietnam, he's damned proud of what he did, why shouldn't he?

  • SEMPER FI!

  • @redneckwill077 - OOORAH!!

  • my frend told me when got back from vietnam he went to college. There was this girl in his class that he liked. When he told her he just got back from vietnam she called him a baby killer and spit on him. To this day I would like to run into this bitch.

  • Great song. What a shame so many good men and women are sent off in the name of greed, imperialism and power.

  • I am glad to see our veterans being treated well nowadays. When I came home from the Army in 1973 we were told it wasn't a good idea to wear our uniforms because we might be attacked by hippies and "flower children" lol!

  • @Bumper776 Id like to say thank-you and Respectfully id like to state that now instead of those"flower children"seeing you Vets as a threat.Dept of Homeland security has chosen to include Veterans as one of the biggest Domestic terror threats to this nation. And that my friend disgusts me,it is just as bad if not worse than those friggin hippies giving you all hell when you got back from Nam. Just the opinion of a humble citizen and American Minuteman however.

    (Long Live The Republic)

  • @Bumper776 You may take pride in the barbaric acts commited by the US military towards the inhabitant s of vietnam, but these "flower children" is exactly what helped bring our men home from a battle that was kicking their ass.

  • @carsiotto You are the typical un-informed Liberal moron. If you studied the war in Southeast Asia you would see that the U.S. Military never lost a major battle or any battle of any significance, maybe a small skirmish here and there but they won nearly every time they made contact. The war was lost because of Liberal idiots like you being crybabies.

  • @Bumper776 It was lost before it started you war dog. The US never belonged there. What an embarrassing point in human history. ANYONE with a brain looks back at those times with disgust.

  • @carsiotto F they were helping us, they wouldnt have attacked us coming off the planes and spit on us. Threatend my kids. Most of us were drafted, didnt have a choice wether we got sent over or not. I saw my friends die and still lose sleep at night to this day for some of the shit i saw. When i got home the ppl you spoke of disowned me for something i had no choice over. While they dodged draft, smoked pot and got laid....i saw my friends die. How about he MIA and POW left to rot? Some help

  • @unforgivn82 A drafted army is an army of slaves. Very unfortunate.

  • @carsiotto- Slaves or not, they were your fellow countrymen and women being killed for something they had nothing to do with. We needed our countries support, not hate.

  • @unforgivn82 Not hate, you're right. What I cant stand is a proud vietnam veteran. Nothing to be proud about.

  • @carsiotto - OH? Why cant tthey be?

  • @carsiotto Maybe you need to think about what you're saying. Even if the goverment lied, even if the reasons the goverment gave were false, the soldiers fought for their country. The soldiers were fighting for a cause, were fighting and trying to survive a living hell. They can be proud that they survived, proud that they fought to serve their country, even if their goverment lied.

  • @carsiotto And before you go calling out the war crimes, let me tell you something. The news footage, what was reported, alot of it didn't show you the full story. A old unarmed Vietnamese general was executed, but what they don't tell you is that the man had executed even more of our soldiers, and had strapped bombs to children. The news reports what rates, and what rates is violence because it grabs attention, instead of the good things that happen. Something to think about.

  • @Dragonwolven Of course he executed our soldiers you moron, we invaded his country!!! What would you do if a small group of men invaded your home and set fire to your bedroom and butchered your kids? Would you hesitate executing them? What a shame.

  • @carsiotto You're such an idiot. Are you forgetting that the same person who supposedly cares so much for his own kids strapped bombs to other small children and sent them after our troops because he knew the psychological affect would keep our soldiers from shooting and kill them and the children? Maybe you need to get off your ass and think things through before speaking of a subject you obviously know nothing about.

  • @carsiotto Have you ever served in this nations military?

  • @unforgivn82 Now why on earth would I let this government use me like a dildo? What a stupid question.

  • @carsiotto look now you igorant prick my grandfather was damned proud to serve his country in vietnam we wouldnt have invaded vietnam for no reason think about that for a second before you go slandering people who were serving their country and that those people were good people

  • @groovydude365 Shut the fuck up you bloated bitch. I could give a shit if your grandfather was used like a dildo by the US government. The man was drafted and there is no honor in being a slave.

  • @carsiotto first of all your the bloated bitch second of all my grandpa volunteered he didnt get drafted he wasnt used as a dildo either dumbass shows how much you know about the war you liberal moron

  • @carsiotto Well by GOD! i wasn`t drafted You seem to have forgotten those of us who served with pride and don`t you forget it!,not in nam, but central america, and we the forgotten share the same bond,So take your liberal bitch fest elsewhere,It`s a great song and unlike you, speaks alot for we who have served, and mean something to some of us.

  • @MrSavage1579 Central America? Where the majority killed were poor indigenous peoples? You are the forgotten. The ugly face of the U.S. murdering machine. You are not a real man. Not a real soldier. A man that protects his own home in his own country is a real man. Not one that goes off to terrorize others like a barbarian all the while being used like a dildo by the US government. Pathetic.

  • @carsiotto

You goat mouthed son of a bitch, wish you would have been there, would have taken great pleasure in shutting your fucking mouth, mercenaries and drug lord`s no pic nic to deal with about like terroist`s,bet you never served.so go fuck yourself,or come by and see me,would find great pleasure in ripping your eyes out and skull fucking you to death

  • @MrSavage1579 haha you're a wacky dude.

  • @carsiotto No just have PTSD and despise disrespectful punks

  • @MrSavage1579 thank you for your service brother. means a lot.

  • @usarmy55boilerup Would do it all again if could, your welcome

  • @carsiotto no scum bag I`m your worst nightmare, because I have been where the metal meet`s the meat< do you wish to continue?

  • @MrSavage1579 more like where your mouth met the meat

  • @carsiotto and one other thing I never killed a civilian, but made the guilty pay,you pompus prick, deal with my pain then you can say something, until that time say thank you and be on your way.

  • @Bumper776- Thankyou brother for your service. FUCK anybody who says any different. Most didnt get a choice wether they went over or not. Semper Fi !!

  • IF they were helping us, they wouldnt have attacked us coming off the planes and spit on us. Some help.

  • @carsiotto- ah ok, so you judge the situation based on what you saw on TV. read in books ect. Never actually served your country. Gotcha. Are you even old enough to have served during vietnam? If you were, did you dodge the draft? Reguardless the answer to any of these questions. What gives you any right to judge those of us who were drafted against our will to serve? Given your beliefs do you treat the current iraq freedom vets the same as we were? Or do you show them support?

  • @unforgivn82 First of all, it was a shame that this goverment abused the loyalty and dedication of its citizens for vietnam. Secondly I judege the government more so than the soldier when it comes to vietnam. As far as any wars after the draft was done without, then I put more responsibilty on the soldier.

  • @carsiotto Judge for what?

  • @Shouvak deciding to go to war

  • @carsiotto Men and Women do not decide to go to war, they decide to serve their country under the leadership of those who have been placed in charge by the vote of the people. This is how we are able to maintain our freedom that allows us the rights that you are currently abusing. If you never signed to serve your country, then you have never loved youir country and should probably pack up and get out.

  • @Shouvak scum bag you could not borrow coffee where i been ,so shut the fuck up bitch

  • @MrSavage1579 I am not sure what the hell that has to do with anything I've said. And where exactly have you been and to which comment are you refering to?

  • @MrSavage1579 got the wrong one my apologies

  • @MrSavage1579 no sweat.

  • @Bumper776 i stand with you brother, think more of those i served with than my own blood kin, hard to say but the truth, any warrior who just wants to come home and forget deserves respect and left alone not bitched at..

  • Thank you

  • god bless them all from the past to the present soldiers. you make us so proud . just wish the govrnment took care of them better than they do. god bless

  • no matter how fucked up america becomes due to a leader id like to say thank you to all of the soldiers who have laid their life down for me and my family

  • @yellowjackets42010 i second that THANKS TO ALL THE MEN AND WOMEN THAT GIVES US THE RIGHT TO SAY WHAT IN THE HELL WE WANT RIP James Richard Luckey

  • @txh116 my Ssgt said the same thing. but your brothers are the ones that don't forget.

  • @txh116 thanks

  • So sad.. The men, the heroes in this video. have been labeled by the Dept. Of Homeland Security ,next to Tea Partiers, Conservatives, Pro 2nd amendment, and Constitutionalists as the greatest Domestic terror threat to the U.S. What the Hell did we do with the nation my grandfather spoke of so proudly, and defended so valaintly? (tear drop)

    Long Live The Republic

  • @nebraskapatriot01 We through it away for temporary security and safety and for the government to coddle us. Trust me The Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves! Homeland Security don't you mean Homeland Oppression?

  • @bobafettfan32 threw I'm sorry shit like this get's me riled up! I am on that list also because I am a veteran for one, also I am pro second amendment, and a Constitutionalist also.

  • @bobafettfan32 Its the best way to be man.Amendment 2A supporter and Constitutionalist here as well till death.Keep your powder dry pard things are heating up and regretably going to get ugly and quick.

    (Long Live The Republic)

  • @nebraskapatriot01 Far as this video goes The Government owes every Vietnam Veteran of all branches that served in that war a public apology for sending them over there to fight a war we had no intention of winning only to sustain it a war for profit that's it.

  • Great Video. I am proud of all who served living and dead they gave it all for us.I salute you guys.

  • i Wish i died over there myself song speaks the truth 2-153 infantry Anbar province. 50 cal gunner

  • thanks all who serve.. I'm a proude american... and i will be on the battle feild with you here soon

  • My MIL's husband served two tours in Viet Nam. This self-described "poor Hispanic kid" lost both legs to the hip, one arm and two fingers off the remaining hand protecting the men in his unit. He came back, earned two doctorate degrees and spent most of his career at the DAV, helping other injured veterans.

To this day, members of the unit gather at his house for the July 4th holiday. God bless our soldiers and all those who serve. This includes y'all for making great songs like this one.

  • Screw any hippies who disgraced the citizens of this country by protesting and downgrading the American Soldier.

  • @RipFlm It's not the soldier as much as it is the US government quest for power throughout the world.

  • I am proud of my dad a Vietnam Vet, He served our country at such a young age and never quit supporting our country no matter how bad he felt, He just died from heart failure at 61yrs of age due to agent orange. He taught me to be a proud person not only of him but our country, I now am sending my 19 yr old son to boot camp USAF in Dec. 11, He will carry on for you dad, Watch over our boy and keep him safe. I loved you.

  • it's bring a tear to an old Solder eye Thanks Montgomery -Gentry Thank You

  • IF anyone realizes, the video was filmed at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. Ive had a chance to go, it is beautiful, it gives you a sad feeling. like you shouldnt walk around where these people should lay in peace.

  • I'm not the biggest country fan.....but this song pretty much sums up how I feel about my friends who never came home.

What a great song!!!!! and a great band!

  • This song is so beautiful

  • my all time favorite song of theres

  • @MarineInfantry990 hooah hoooyah and oorah

  • This is one of my favorite Montgomery Gentry songs, and yet, for some reason, it wasn't a big hit. Why was this? Oh, that's right, BECAUSE OF THE COMMUNISTS THAT RUN NASHVILLE NOW! Thanks a million, you Nashville idiots!

  • the part that really gets to me is the verse saying "I've seen boys fall to pieces and grown men cry out for Jesus till they're black and blue". I'm a third generation Infantry Soldier and I remember as a child sitting down listening to my Grandfather tell stories about himself and his father who fought during WW2, he never really spoke about the horrors of war but you could tell by the look that would come over him that what he'd seen and heard had been traumatic.. God Bless our Vets!!!

  • I thank God for every solider that has defended this country. I am proud to be an American,I also, salute the fallen soldiers that have given their life and the families that supported them.

God Bless you one and all.

  • wow what a song ... tears went down my face and reading what folks wrote here .. wow .. i feel for u all ..

  • @MarineInfantry990 I want to say thank you to you for your service. All too often we forget that it is brave people like you and all the others who are over seas now as well as the ones who never made it home that we are freedom. We need to remember that 'Freedom isn't Free'. Thank you. God Bless You All.

  • at 1:10 when Eddie looked at the camera while he was singing I got chills.

  • I may never know what sort of hell war is...but I know that there is no better feeling than watching a soldier come home. Our soldiers will never receive the respect they deserve, but from a simple girl, I watch this song with tears in my eyes and my whole heart swelled with pride. God bless and support our soldiers!

  • them 6 people must be from iraq or mexico

  • @89bigsexy really? thats fucking low dude.. its racism is what it is, and deff not needed on this video.

  • For all the soldiers that have gone away to war... the ones that came back and the ones that didnt... YOU BURNED AND BLED ENOUGH FOR ME YOU FACED OUR FEARS AND LAID YOUR LIFE DOWN FOR FREEDOM... if you ask me... your my hero... and that why im joining the army... so i can protect what you fought for... what you died for... thank you all for all the things you have done for me and this country
