Give the guy a break - he was never going to do it forever. As I understand it, the specials this year are already a bonus, because the BBC wanted to entice him to stay on longer.

It's the nature of the programme that the Doctor will regenerate. I'm sorry to see him go, but not at all surprised (he already stayed longer than I expected him to, longer than I'd dared hope). After all, if the Doctor never changed, we'd never have had him in the first place.

He has a life beyond pleasing us fans!

I'm quite sad. David's version of the Doctor is what drew me to DW. Amongst the other versions of the Doctor, Ten is and always will be my favorite.

At least we'll have the specials and at least I'll be able to still see the man act in the future.
