  • i did this for french to it gets stuck in your head thats a good thing

  • We have to learn how to count to 10 in Japanese in my karate class (to count out our punches in Japanese)

  • @elixarch15

For that you would probably be better to use Shi and Shichi instead of Yon and Nana,

Ichi Ni San Shi Go Roku Shichi Hachi Kyu Juu.

  • am i the only one that thinks the faces are creepy?

  • haha i lick 4!!

  • May I suggest you put the spelling of the numbers too?

  • What the freak did i just watch?

  • This is really good lullaby music...

  • juu san sai desu. < is i am 13...and aside from kanji japanese is a very easy langue to learn...i love the song i might show it to my sensei to see if she likes it for class

  • ha

  • its tones so boring! that's bad 'cause It's wonderful numbers

  • I thought 4 was "chi"

  • @killy642

It can be SHI or YON.

  • @killy642 From what I learned until 10 the number 4 is shi and number 7 shichi. From 10 on they´re yon and nana.

  • Ichi,ni,san,yon,go,roku,nana,hachi,kyu,juu.

    am I right???

  • @smartgirl889 Yeah, you're right. Then it's Juuichi Juuini Jusan Juyon Jugo...etc. I don't care if I'm spelling it wrong. :p

  • number 10 O_O

  • Did i hear ictchy nissan at one point

  • is it wierd that i sang along?

  • Is this a lullabye? Oyasuminasai

  • Did number 10 just blink at me? o_o

    0:18

  • for everyone: the word "Sai" means age. so if you use the counter as in "Jyuu-ichi" (11) you would say "Watashi wa _________ sai desu" (I'm ___ years old)

    :D hope it helps!

  • @luckysems

Thanx! This helped me since I'm trying 2 learn basic Japanese~!^^

  • Can you try the Numbers Song in Mandarin Chinese?

  • His pronunciation of 3 irks me >.<

  • My name's Nana and I'm the 7th member of my family. FML.

  • I know all the numbers caz we have to count in Japanese in karate. There are other ways to say some of the numbers. This is what I learned: each Ni San Shi go roku sichi Hachi ku jeu. Then after that u repeat like jeu each, jeu Ni, jeu San, etc. Once you get to twenty you say San jeu, San Jeu each (caz the 2 is San, jeu is ten, and each is one) San jeu Ni, etc

  • @MasterSquizzle

2 is ni - 3 is san. So twenty is ni ju, thirty is san ju.

  • I ichi San years old lol

  • @TGKkiller

    You can say,

"watashi wa ju san sai desu"

    "I'm thirteen"

  • @KidsTV123 so do i say "Watashi Wa Ju-ichi Desu"?

  • @KidsTV123 to be more accurate its "juu san Zai desu." as for the honorific, it depends on whether or not its a guy or girl.

    "watashi"= (polite) female

"atashi"= (casual) female "boku"= (casual) male

    "ore"= (casual) masculine/ older male

  • @KidsTV123 thats alot of words just for sayin *im thirteen*.......looks like my chance of learnin japanese is over .........so ARABIC HERE I COME

  • @KidsTV123 well i wanna know what desu in the end of sentences refer to ? and placing a ka is making it into a question if i am not wrong

  • @spirite22

desu is the equivalent of the verb "to be". So here it would mean "am". The verb always comes at the end of the phrase or sentence in Japanese. So your literally saying, "I thrteen years old am."

  • @KidsTV123

If you want here is it in Japanese. わたしはじゅうさんさいです。 (私は十三さいです。)

  • @TGKkiller LOL XD

  • @TGKkiller u dont say ichi san u say "Ju-san".

    Im ju-ichi years old

  • japenese makes my head hurt after a hour

  • the number 1 made me kind of itchy...

  • i knew rocku was 8

  • @Missimo24 ...roku is six.....

  • @Missimo24 ROKU= 6

  • I already know all the numbers

  • koni' chiwa

  • I like how 3 follows 2 and then suddenly BOOOM 4 5 6.

  • English is easier

  • @lviry27 MAYBE BECAUSE WE ARE ENGLISH:D LOOL

  • 7,8,9

sounds like nanhatchaku to me xd

  • counting is easy in japanese ppl... the patterns for counting is so obvious not like in english where after 10 you have 11 and 12 which make no sense because 13 up until 19 are "teens" right? But in Japanese the counting makes perfect sense. Good luck and take my advice LOOK FOR PATTERNS!!!! ^_^

  • Yay I finally got it I think, so I wont be the last person to count to ten in class tomorrow haha

  • If I can't understand this, am I considered a Kindergartner? I am 15, so in Japan, I am considered an EPIC FAIL?!!!!!????

  • @kit1katty well, it doesn't really matter if you're not Japanese/ don't live in Japan. But yes, that would otherwise make you an epic fail. :D

  • @kit1katty u and me both, i wanna learn it

  • @kit1katty anata wa ju go desu

    you are 15 :D

  • @kit1katty yes major epic fail :P

    5: go, itsu

    6: roku, mu

    8:hachi,ya

  • merci pour la soundain lesson, parcque Je jamais anime learing sur mon own

  • This helps me alot, but i think i'm gonna have nightmares from the faces :/ haha

  • I feel itchy!!

  • I learned in school that it was "ichi ni san shi go roku nana hachi kyu ju" :I

  • Nice i learned how to count from 1 to 10 in japanese:3

  • 1 is not itchy, it is eeechi LOL

  • @akai1sora it it spelt ichi

  • This is creepy.. o.o

  • i`m gonna have to keep watching this till i can remember these i have 123 down 7 more to go >.>

  • Is it just me or did that 10 wink at me?... o.O

  • @JustLax11 LOLOL IT DID XD

  • how do you use jisho.org?

  • after watching this 3 times i could kinda keep up untill i got to 4 countim=ng up. but when i was counting down it was kinda bad. i hav to repeat after he said the numbersXD but it was fun. and my older brother is learning japanese and he cant really get his head rapped around the words. but i think i did pretty good. not even my brother could keep up with this video after 3 times of replaying it.so yay! and thankyou for the video it helped alot:)

  • O_O ...retreats back to the German song. :p

  • this is scary

  • My bro is laughing at me. But dude, I feel proud for doing this. And knowing Japanese numbers when he isn't xD

  • i connted up to 100 because my sis cosin comes from japaneese

  • @MegaRahena Thats your cousin also.

  • @ShiroKado 2nd way for 7 is shichi

  • is there a counting lesson for counting formally, like hitotsu instead of ichi?

  • I don't think numbers are all that hard! Even though there 2 ways of saying 4( yon, shi)!and 7(nana, shishi)

  • ありがとうございます。

  • 一二三四五六七八九十

  • I know Nana anc Hachi of course! xD and ichi

  • ありがとう ごぢいます。

  • I'm Japanese. This song has wrong parts. When we cont up,we say 4 as 'si' and count down as 'yon' ,and 7 as 'sichi' and 'nana'.

  • When is it shi and when is it yon when they say 4 its kinda confusing

  • @112anne112

You can use "yon" for pretty much everything apart from "shi gatsu" - April. When counting to ten people use Shi and Shichi. Ichi ni san shi go roku shichi hachi kyu ju. But 40 is always yon ju and 70 is nana ju.

When you're describing quantities of anything - yon is the way to go!

  • @KidsTV123 Arigatou!! that helped a lot!

  • @KidsTV123 is shichi and nana the same? i hear people use nana more often, does it matter? or doou have to say shichi

  • @keyblade19961

It's pretty much the same as the situation with Yon.

Shichi gatsu is July. You don't say nana gatsu. Shichi ji is 7 o'clock, but you can say nana ji.

And Shichi Go San is the name of a festival for kids aged 7, 5 and 3.

Apart from those cases, go with nana for everything else.

  • @112anne112 *YON IS FOR GENERAL COUNTING.. EXAMPLES: YONIN = 4 PEOPLE YOJI - 4 O'CLOCK YOTTSU - 4 ROUND OBJECTS *SHI APPLIES TO THE FOLLOWING: SHIGATSU = APRIL *SHICHININ = 7 PEOPLE THERE ARE REALLY MANY RULES TO REMEMBER =) EMAIL ME AT serenity_630@yahoo.com IF YOU WANT TO LEARN ABOUT THE RULES... =) - AYA
  • konichiwa

  • 12345678910

    一二三四五六七八九十

  • im going to have this stuck in my head all day...

  • It's: ichi, ni, san, shi/yon, go, roku, shichi/nana, kyuu/ku, jū. But on this they said yon when it's shi or yon for four and nana when it can be shichi or nana for 7....

  • 1+5 = ichi+go = ichigo YAY! ;D

  • So is 3 called San?

    But San means Mr./Ms.

  • @irfantariq31 The -san honorific (さん) and the number san (三) are homophones similiar to lead/led or to/too/two in English.

  • thumbs up if u noticed the eyes blinked to the gautair xP i cant spell

  • @rodrigueznoelia I know exactly how you feel!! XD

  • I've heard that both Shi or Yon could be used as four. Is this true? Because i don't want to be saying the wrong thing -.-

  • @LxRaitofan It can be shi or yon, same applys to nana (7), it can be pronounced shichi. And also kyuu (9) can be said ku. They do this because shi also means death and it is considered bad luck sometimes, thats why they dont have 4th floors in Japan.... good luck!! Ganbatte!!

  • can u repeat that o... thanks

  • Im in japanese three and the japanese writing meant nothing to me but now that i can read it i feel special. 私はすごい!Not to brag lol...but i am pretty awesome. for those learning Japanese i would suggest going to jisho.org if you need to know any words because it is a great japanese to english or english to japanese dictionary.Though if you cannot read hirigand i suggest having the google traslator open too so you may see how to pronounce the word XD hope i could help
