the footage of everyone standing bby, smoking, is pretty cool and gives you the kinda feel of comraderie that existed back then... Coltrane and Miles, McCoy Tyner, doesn't get any better
And now try to listen to dubstep. See the difference?? Because I just physically cannot listen to dubstem, beeing honest I can't even call this Music.
Dear visitors, i'm new in this genre, i'm a 27 year old guy. Just got really into jazz (and blues by the way) and guess what: i dont friggin care about house and techno music anymore...not a bit.
Miles is perfect here, at the top of his game. He is as intense as his music and you feel it. If you don't feel this you don't feel anything. This is what jazz is and why it will always be relevant, even after most folks don't get it. Which, of course, they should....
I saw one of Miles last concerts in California before he die and it was Mega-phenomenal. I was lucky. And i know what you're saying about Miles Davis and comercialism . But i live in Taiwan now and being able to listen to him on line is a virtual delight
11 dislikes! Might I suggest you 11 people type in Lil Wayne and get the hell away from Mr. Davis. It's obvious you don't know what the hell good music, scratch that, great music sounds like.
What in the hell is wrong with youtube this morning? So what is the first video I watch every morning and i'm getting nothing. I hate my stinking gov job and Miles always get me going. Something has to give.
Hey, if you dig Miles (and who doesn't?), check out Jeremy Pelt's new record called "Soul". Jeremy plays a very nice trumpet and has a *lights-out* band behind him. How's that for "advertising"? LOL!
Arguing about a Miles Davis video on youtube is about as immature as it gets. How anyone can listen to this and have a negative emotion at the same time is beyond me. Please leave that crap at the door. Thank you. On another note, I love how Miles goes back and has a cigarette after his solo. You wouldn't see that on tv nowadays. Then again, you wouldn't see anything this cool on tv today. It was a completely different time. Jazz was more mainstream, IMHO.

@CoolFreeHardBop Advertising is a good thing, grow up hippie. Learn how the world works, if you don't like the ads then just close them, its not difficult you know.
@laserboy18 Hey laserboy18, I have a suggestion for you. I feel that you should go FUCK yourself AND the horse you rode in on. How about that? I can repeat this advice if you have trouble reading...
creating, and maintaining content is not free. youtube offers you a free service but you can be sure they have bills that need to be paid - if there were no ads on these videos, there wouldn't be videos here at all.

@throatgorge2 I hear you. Miles was great, and then add J. Coltrane, "Mr. P. C." Paul Chambers on bass, Wynton Kelly or Bill Evans on piano, Cannonball Adderley and Jimmy Cobb on drums and you have the greatest Jazz record of all time.
Este tema es una verdadera lección de jazz!, super, lo tengo en CD y con grabación remasterizada lo que la hace de sonido muy claro. Muchas gracias al que colgo este tema.!
@CoolFreeHardBop I doubt he'd want some of his videos blocked in England. I'm not saying the English are all powerful or what not and deserve everything, but we do deserve the sweet jazztastic sounds.
@CoolFreeHardBop You LITERALLY have no idea what he would have wanted. If he was alive today it is very likely that he would support people putting ads on music videos to give the creative minds some credit. "corporate whores", honestly, how old are you? You must be out of the punk phase by now. Please for your own sake learn!
TheJazzzCritic approves of this film. Miles was a pioneer - breaking ground for a new way of playing jazz. And the rest of the guys fell right in - Paul Chambers (b) Wynton Kelly (p) Jimmy Cobb (d) & of course Trane (ts). This was just one of many smooth units Miles had & quite possibly the greatest.

You can see them listening in the corner, something is really pooping off. He was onto something big here you see! Its more than painting coulours with music, you actually sculpt images in sound space. This is what YouTube is for. You can't sleep so you turn to some old school jazz to indulge the ears with and nothing beats listening to Miles Davis even at 2.30am.
I came here to listen to Miles Davis I don't wanna hear fucking Lady Gaga's commercial. At least advertise something that is kind of related to the music we come to listen to.
Ah, Vevo! I was expecting Davis and Trane, but instead you hit me with and ad that had Lil' Wayne in it! I mean, I suppose it's OK because the service wouldn't be free otherwise. But just give me fair warning, the next time you try and pull something like that!

Back at work at the V.A., they are getting on my last last nerve. Need a dose of Mr. Davis to get me going. Even thou I have the CD of this, the video brings me much joy.

Tough day at the V.A., good afternoon Mr. Davis. I really need a dose!

Ah, Vevo! I was expecting Davis and Trane, but instead you hit me with and ad that had Lil' Wayne in it! I mean, I suppose it's OK because the service wouldn't be free otherwise. But just give me fair warning, the next time you try and pull something like that!

Jazz used to be a slang name for marijuana, that is why they called it this.
