Paybacksabitch102: in ref your question, they actually blocked off 5 avenue for blocks upon blocks and other areas on the weekends for filming. Buy the DVD it's on as bonus footage. Most of the scenes WERE NOT CG like everyone assumed, they actually had hundreds of staff and cops keeping people from crossing streets, driving, etc, while they filmed. Pretty damned impressive, if you ask me!

It was REALLY impressive actually.... when I filmed this, I was in my apartment window, then later walked down to the street. They would not let anyone walk around the corners when it was happening..they even blocked off subway entrances...was amazing.. there was, however, a tremendous amount of CG added to age the buildings but the cars along the side of the road and debris were actually there...was so cool

nah hes a good driver, but its scary too, he only does it when like after or while its raining, and were like the only ones on the road, like the other day we were coming hom (im 12) and it rained after wards and he passed some guy and turned and drifted onto out street, it was cool! but we dont flip kuz the cars low compact, (aka low rider) like if hummers drift they flip but cars dont kuz the are closer to ground

the annoying thing aobut filming the actual movie was that they had to close different streets of the city to basically shoot each shot. not all of them though. some of them were animated...
