  • You're a great cooker, You should open up a shop some day.

  • does it have to be mayonnaise (eww) could i use heavy cream and salt..

  • @taintedlovergirl You can try whatever you want, don't know if it would be too thin and runny (eww) with the cream.

  • this looks amazing!!

  • i tried it sooooo goooddd :)

  • @lazlohi It is a great dip! I agree.

thanks for letting me know you liked it.

  • what a cool idea to hollow out the boat and put the dip inside!

  • This does make for a very nice presentation and as the dip get lower, guests can break off pieces of the dip covered "bowl".

Cream cheese is a wonderful thing. :)

  • I saw this on silverscreamgrl's video and she had a link to yours where she got the recipe so I thought I'd check yours out too. Love the recipe! I'm definintely going to give it a try. We just got a vitamix that can make soup so I thought I'd try my variation on it when I get the ingredients. Thanks for the idea:-) Nora & Chip

  • I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Thanks.

  • I jumped over here from Beth's vid to see what goes in it, and it looks like a lethally yummy combination! I think I'm gonna have to try it.

Side note... I thought I subbed to you clear back in October. Either it didn't stick, or I've lost more brain cells than I thought. Guess this explains why I haven't been seeing any of your vids, huh...

  • Hello Moosie! Better late than never.

  • Looks Good!

  • Thanks!

  • The guys will love this while watching the game on tv.. Looks yummy Tammy, thanks.

  • Hello Dolores!

    Missed this comment somehow!

This is perfect for snacking on while watching the game. :)

  • Looks awesome as always the hot dip is great. I make something that is similar easy and more summer one that people die for. Especially my hubs. It had green onions in it which I can't eat in anyway shape or form so I always just save a little out for me without but know they make the dip. It to is bacon bits. Sometime when I make it I show it.

  • Yes! If you make it, be sure to show it.

  • Thanks Angie!

  • Tammy!

I got so drunk and ate so much last night this video hurts to watch. But it looks delish as always!

You are SO the pro chef on YouTube.

    Happy new years!!

  • Happy New Year!

Yep, this is probably not hangover food.

  • I have NO idea how I missed this. Did it not get put in my sub center? Grrr. And I specifically asked you to make this video. So now I feel very rude.

ANYWAY!! Do you really think it needs to cook for 1-1/2 to 2 hours? That seems overly much?

I may actually go run to the store and get some of the bread. I have the rest of the ingredients. I will have to do it before dark or the firework people will be IN THE STREETS

  • I thought the exact same thing when I saw the 1.5-2 hour thing! Too long!

    BUT....

I baked mine for 1 hour and the cheese was barely warm in the center. I think the bread acts as an insulator and keeps the heat out for a while.

Did you end up making it?

  • Nope, I didn't end up making it. I realized it would take a while for the cream cheese to soften. The sun had gone down, so it would take twice as long for stuff to soften. So I am either going to attempt it tomorrow or Sunday.

Thanks for letting me know about the time. It sounded so incredibly long..like what you'd cook a meatloaf, but it really does make sense. It's a dense amount of goodness in there!!

  • I just came back to watch this again....going to make this here in a bit:)

  • I'm glad that you tried it Stacey. Like you said in your video with Ken, it would be really good on baked potatoes!

  • I'm still in Turkey coma but I wanna eat that cheese thing

  • lol @ turkey Coma!

  • MMM this looks so good. It has 2 of my favorite food groups, bread and cheese. I love just about any kind of dip so I will be making this for sure.

    Thanks Tammy!

  • Hey, bread and cheese are also my two favourite food groups! lol

  • Another excellent recipe!! Blessings, Ang

  • Thanks Ange!

  • Melissa! I hope your New Years was better than your Christmas!

  • Your craft and recipe videos are always so well done . Instruction, picture and sound are always so well put together - Thank you!

  • Thanks you so much! A comment like this is really appreciated. Nice to know that people notice.

  • Whats not to love?

  • how could you not

    SPRINKLES

  • ((hugs))

  • <3 xo

  • Definitely going to try this!

  • If you try it let me know if you like it. :)

  • Yum! I have had it with shredded spinach and freshly grated Parmesan instead of cheddar. Either way, good stuff. Hey, by the way, we got a lot of compliments on the nutmeg meringue cookies. I made them a little too big though, so there was a lot of damage in transit. Live and learn, eh?

  • This would be really good with spinach.

I learned that the meringues should be eaten pretty much same day I think. They crumble very easily and do not ship well at all, I also found that out. The crumbs would be tasty though.

  • Ken and I are so going to have to make this for New Years....we are doing appetizer type stuff.

  • People will love it, I guarantee it. It also stays warm for quite a while on the snack table if you bake it for the full two hours. And even after it is cool, it still tastes good.

  • mike just told me im making this for him this week

    :)

    xoexo

  • Nice of you to offer, lol ;)

  • looks great Tammy, and actually, not that difficult! I like it in the bread as a bowl...that way you don't leave your tupperware or other bowls someplace besides home! LOL

    mike

  • Excellent point Mike! I've left my share of things behind myself, lol.

  • yummmmm this is going on my new years table

  • I MUST TRY THAT

  • @Neferkit, hmmm, strange, it won't play for me either...

  • Hello Pat, I've had that issue before. You can't play them but they come off your sub inbox anyway. It's a YT glitch.
