@SenhorCroft It shouldn't have too much disco in it or else they will get penalize for it. There have been many instances of penalty on dances that doesn't have enough basics. Mya and Dmitry knew too well since they have been underscored many times early on due to this issue.

I was surprised they didn´t win, it proves only DWTS is more a popularity contest after all, no matter how good dancers are . But to think it further, maybe voters are more concerned that Mya is actually a trained dancer which gives her an advantage than the others. I do believe, that´s more like it, that´s why the voters preferred Donny Osmond.

@chakyunfan on season 10, nicole s. won and she is a trained dancer.....like mya? donny osmond won only because of his fan base. yes, dwts is more of a popularity contest than a talent contest. if you have a big fan base your likelihood to win is greater even if you are not the most talented on the dance floor. there was no way this donny osmond was a more talented dancer than mya.

mya and dmitry were the true champions for me on season 9.
