@Draelren I'm talking stock seals, brand new in the box, from Maz-Toy in Portland. I have rebuilt four rotaries and am about to drop one into my Datsun pickup. And sorry, I meant $40 dollars PER SEAL.
was in desperate need of a dyno tho, either that or was loosing compression the pulse wasn't strong enough to get her rocking hard pp's are cool tho but i've gone full cut bridge (j)on end and centre plates. and just a standard jetted nikki, still eats v8 the way its is lol smoked a v8 commodore or american version "pontiac gto"
did u really make that manafold i have the same 1 on my "323 wif a 12a bridgy" and im pritty sure thats a 48 dhelordo webber do you have any more chilln in your garage n for sh3lbot i had a pp in my gemi there good for about 10000kms bridgys are much cheaper and last alot longer and love a hiding.
sounded weak ideling then u rev the fucker and man fuckin nice tuff as, i like ur intake setup iv neva seen that b4 is it better than the origanl set-up ??
Sidedraft setup (like this) gives better mid-range power, IDA setup (traditional) gives better top end power. The difference is in the manifold lengths.
Nice im runnin a dhla48 to nice high end torque.how big is that periport.mine is as mild as i could get it. It was a good template its a weekend racer. what intake and exhaust u runnin.
Built in NZ. 1st attempt at porting & building a rotary. I used a sidedraft because it was cheaper than an IDA. It was fairly economical but uses a little more now due to saggy apex springs or a sticking apex seal (not sure which).
how many kms you have on this engine so far? and only 400$ to build... in canadian how much will that be? i dont have to tools so plug and drill my own p port either. also did you make new engine dowels?
No idea on kms, at least 15,000 i guess. About 300can, I used mostly 2nd hand parts I had lying around and did all the work myself, that why it was so cheap. Stock mazda dowels, theres no need for anything else in a n/a engine.
I just put the same thing on my son's 83 12a but carb as a prob on low ind after 2000 rpm it a raped ape

Isnt ceramic apex seals usually the best way to go for P-port? How many k did you get outta the setup? Still running?
spikederailed 2 years ago
@spikederailed Dude, seals are like 40 bucks a set for a double rotor engine.

@420witchdoctor 40 bucks a set for seals? FROM WHERE?! For a base rebuild it usually is somewhere around $600 for a 13b...
