  • Thanks for the vids. You never know how you're going to react when threats appear. Training does help, it becomes the default reaction.

  • @beckweth Good instincts are always important.

  • @shaolinmountainbike - I've come to find everything is a habit. Training a persons thinking creates habit. I think instincts come from what is habitual. I don't know anymore, but back when emergencies would arise I would go into the zone. You know, that place where thinking has no place. What you are teaching are habits, in an emergency the info will kick in and override the thinking mind. Probably has a lot to do with adrenalin.

  • @beckweth I know what you mean. I go into he zone in an emergency too. But don't know how I developed that skill.

  • @shaolinmountainbike - Don't know how I did either. In emergencies I've scared others into action by yelling at them (more like screaming), to do the right thing. It works too. Some people go into the shock state and have to be snapped out of it.

  • I was in my car and wound up on the wrong street, several big black guys stood in the street waiting for me about 50 or 60 feet down the block. I put the car in reverse and tried to back out. There was a car behind me honking, so I put it in drive and stepped on the gas. I did that before I turned my head around. I headed for them with the thought that they were bowling pins. It was me or them. They jumped out of the way, that was helpful.

  • @beckweth Thank you for sharing your story! Sounds like you escaped a potential carjacking. I will share with others your success.
