  • can the camera record sound?

  • @unclet95 It can but for some reason every video of this camera i have watched it dont have sound =S but it dose record sound =)

  • @TheeNinja250R You'll probably only get bunch of wind noise tho

  • @Nolimittt True True

  • @Nolimittt

I have one that I tried on my bike, and all you get is wind.

  • Achtung die Lenkerhalterung passt nicht bei jedem Motorrad und Fahrrad!

Ich musste die (und jetzt bitte nicht lachen) mit Klopapier verstärken damit die fest sizt.

  • hey i am trying to put this camera onto my modular helmet for snowmobiling, any ideas how i can get it on or any acessories i could use to mount it. i tried using the rubber strap provided but it was too small.

  • why i can hear nothing

  • why aren`t there any sound?

  • i had one of these. i hated it as a helmet cam, because it always got a wave to it, the video quality wasn't that great, and sound was just horrible, ESPECIALLY in the wind. i did strap it to my paintball gun though, and that seemed to be made perfectly for it. no wind, it fit like a glove, VERY durable, i recommend it as more of a gun cam than helmet cam. too much movement on a helmet.

  • but for the price, the camera is very good.

  • you can attach to other places on yout bike with less vibrations. that will do better. Sound quality is still poor.

I also got this one, it's a cheap camera. you get what you pay for.

  • well i should have mentioned that i ride a dirt bike. going on trails there is nowhere but your head to keep still. tell you what though, about a month ago i found a GoPro Hero helmet cam laying on a trail in big bear, CA. it's about a $170 camera, totally waterproof to 100 feet (in its protective case), sound quality is amazing even in the protective case, and it takes video like you wouldn't believe for something its size. it's only large enough for 2 AAA batteries and they last for 2 hours.

  • if you get lithium they last for 3 hours, and it can hold an SD card up to 2 gb, unless you don't mind starting another video every 40 minutes, which is easy considering it only has 2 buttons, easily accessed without looking. in that case you can op for at least an 8gb card (biggest i have). i love the camera and plan on saving up for another one. it's shaped like a regular camera and even has a little viewfinder, has a nice wide angle, and is about 1 3/4" wide and 1" tall. 3/4" thick.

  • thank you i was thinking of doing this XD

  • this camera is awesome for 80 bucks.

im getting one for Christmas and i

cant wait.nice footage...next time add music to jazz it up.

    peace.

  • kinda piss , would have expected better in 2008,, looks like it was shot in 1974

  • Bit harsh given the limitations of the unit. The technology will get a lot better within a couple of years. You have to remember the lense is about 5mm across and the sensor not much bigger. :-)

  • Well then you are fucking blind "bigbad". Why don't you just stfu you little bitch.

  • take x-sportscam! ;)

  • I have this oregon too but I am not very happy with it! it´s not good when u use your bike!

  • maybe worse on bicycle, ha?

  • yep, x-sportscam are the best, have one too and the video looks waaaaay better than this!

  • I want to buy one. The quality is not so bad, but I see some "flag" effects. What resolution have you used to record this clip? Have you mounted the camera on the helmet?

  • It's called "macro blocking". And to be honest, given the size and price of the camera the quality is great looking.

Don't expect HD quality in a $80 camera that's the size of a red dot sight.

  • but you can get hd cameras that are almost as small and not much more to buy, i saw them on qvc

  • its called the Aiptek AHD200.. like a small camcorder, very thin with a screen.. much better idea

  • Their quality is seriously suspect. Don't believe image quality examples from TV. It's often simulated.

  • No, i got one for my birthday to use for paintball and the quality is very bad. it is super sensitive to vibrations and changing light levels, and the sound is upmost the worst thing you have ever heard from a camera. and you cannot use it inside... peroid

your much better off getting a memory stick for a video camera phone and using that because its actually better quality.

the cameraphone i used to compare was a treo 700.

  • Im thinking of getting this Helmet Cam, would u recomend it??

  • In my opinion, yes but no. Yes because its extreamly tough and it can actually be used underwater upto 10 feet, which is a plus. It has VGA picture quality which is good, but not great. It has fair shock absorbation, but not great. Also no because the sound is awful, even with the cap off. Kinda goes both ways but overall I would recommend it. Just depends what your gonna use it for.
