  • ships used to come in there did they we would have never guessed that

  • lioyds of london , martime insurance brokers paid for the pillars i was told.

  • Nice choice for MofM!

  • I've thought about it, but it's not often I go outside... plus I'm lazy... I could try using my tripod but it won't fit in my backpack... but looking at getting a slightly smaller one soon

  • yeah I agree with everyone else who commented it is a very beautiful place, just gorgous. I will definitely put that on my list of things to see when I finally get to go. Yeah the sun is so much bigger in ireland than where I live. great vid yet again and many good wishes towards you and your wife and a good trip as well. slan.

  • Cheers Kitty, don't what it is about the size of the sun, must just be an optical illusion when compared to the cliffs in the foreground... like how the moon sometimes looks bigger when it's behind building and smaller when it's high in the sky

  • Wow 3 MofM videos, mate you rock

    !\ / ROCK ON \ /!

Thats such an amazing view especially with the pillars which ads a nice touch to the scenery.

  • no problem mate... wait till next year, lets see if I can go for 4, haha

  • Thank you so much for shooting this vid, I am nearly dying to go to Ireland-

the location you picked is very mystical and Irish.

  • It's one of my favourite places, not just in my town but in Ireland, it's a wonder it's taken me this long to actually make a video there, haha

  • whew... That is a nice place to spend time for enjoying silence and looking at the sea. I think going up there is really risky.. Thanks for showing us ur place frank.

I think most ladies go up there if they are running out of time...wahahaha

    piz.. \m/ rock on!

  • If and when Gentosmetos puts up the 1st part I do a bit at the end of that showing part of the path and explaining it is a bit risky... but if you have a guide and the weather is good it should be no problem

  • Frank, you are the *best* - when I was in Ireland in 2007 I reckon walking up to the Metal Man with my Waterford friends was just about the highlight of my trip - such a fun day. Unlike you, they weren't as sure about the path, but I'm pretty certain we took the same path as you along the cliff. Thanks so much for the vid, it brought back *heaps* of really happy memories!

By the way, all the best for the trip and your wedding mate. :)

  • were they from Waterford or Tramore? If from Waterford understandable they wouldn't be as familiar with the path, most people in Tramore would know it well, haha. If ever your in the area again in the future let me know

  • Well, two were from Dungarvan / Stradbally way, and the other from Waterford itself (but lived in Tramore when she was younger) - sure enough, she had a better idea than the other two cos she'd done it as a kid. :) Yeah, hoping to be back in about 18 months if all goes well, so I'll let you know!

  • nice shades.

  • Cheers... you'd never guess they are broken and superglued together, haha

  • Beautiful! Thanks for the tour! : )

  • your welcome, thanks for viewing and teh comment

  • Very cool location, Franklin! If I lived in Ireland, I'd definitely keep coming back out there too!

And man, the sun looks lot bigger in Ireland at 01:29! LOL

  • haha, never thought of it like that... just an optical illusion I'm sure... that our it's getting bigger and we're gonna get really hot soon, haha

  • when i go to ireland sometime, ill visit the mettle man

  • I hope you have a good time if and when you do so :-)

  • good background for mofm. better than the inside of my room lol

  • Cheers, Aaron... hey your not still ill are ya?

  • hi mokong!we love all your clips esp. ur clips on philippines .wree from philippines almost 2 towns away from igbaras your home town as youve said.anyway if you got some ym id can you give us? hahaha just wanna know you better coz me and my cousins are ur fans ,when is your wedding? if u got clips during your wedding can u share it with us?..tnx and more power god bless moks!hahaha

  • I'm sure I'll have some clips of the wedding when i get back, what town you from, Oton? You might see me pass by in a jeepney... or maybe even walking round Iloilo city sometime :-)

  • Cool.

  • cheers

  • whiskey! rock on!

try 'lambanog' when you came home to 'PINES.. 5*****

  • I actually drink Tanduay when I'm in the Philippines, I love that stuff :-)

  • Aaaaah! The Cliffs of Moher. I so want to visit that spectacular site when I do get to go to Ireland.

As you said, looking over the coastline is very mystical. The stuff of Irish legends.

Single ladies hopping around the pillar 3 times to get married in a year? Hahaha! That is the most amusing superstition I've heard to date.

It's so sad not being able to revisit the place you enjoyed when you were a kid. I used to have a favorite place in PI that is now privately owned.

    Great video, Frank. :-)

  • I totally agree with Jason on that superstition. Who would've ever even discovered that?

Maybe it's just that kind of commitment that gets the girls noticed! Though I'm sure that superstition was invented on April Fool's Day.

  • nah, wouldn't of been an April fools thing... this is Ireland... though actually now that you mention it I do not know where it originates from... but this is Ireland, every town would have it's own unique myths and/or superstitions about something

  • This actually isn't the Cliffs of Moher, Jason, haha... they are like 3 maybe 4 hours away from where I am.

And it's "hopping round the pillar 3 times, barefoot" you can't forget the barefoot, that's a very important component, haha

  • nice view frank!! oh really irish wit your green shirt ;-D

wat cam do you use?? and editing program if i may ask??

  • Camera is a JVC Everio GZ-MG130EK it's a HDD 30 Gigs

I use Windows Media Maker for editing, but the camera creates video files in some weird .MOD format, which WMM (and most programs) don't seem to recognise, so I have to run files through Virtual DubMod first to convert to a .AVI file before I can edit

  • i have said it before and i'm going to say it again : Ireland is a beautiful land, it is truly an Emerald Island.....

  • IT's playing with HQ enabled now, watch it in HQ looks even better, hehe :-)
