This 747 is powered by the Rb211. It makes exactly the same sound at take off as the new A 380 when powered by the Tent 900. Same family, same pedigree.

I was working for a radio station covering the A380 landing so I took the video camera too so I could get some vision too. It was awesome being that close to the runway and something I dont think I will do again unless we get a another event like that again.
Must have been amazing! Great footage, this is definatley one of my faves. I adore the BA 747s, and the 747 full stop. I hope we get to see the first arrival of the 747-800 and the 787 dreamliner here too!
It must've been a full load takeoff.
