RIP, BEN, lead singer of the Cars. I read he died in 2000 of pancreatic cancer. He reminds me of a young David Bowie in this video. I always thought that the black haired guy was the lead singer. He's the one who married a supermodel and is 60 something now (she's 40 something).

i've got a story with this song , so when i first came to the states i head it @ some restaurant in CT , i didn't understand any of the words cuz i wasn't good in English , but i got the beats and the melody and i loved it, couldn't find it though , after like four years i watched Transformers and i heard it, i jumped like crazy and asked my friends about it and i finally found it , that was back in 2009 , now i finished my degree and about to leave this beautiful country , i'm from Saudi Arabia

I just have to say that I remember this concert very well. They played to perfection! When Ben sang this song..there wasn't a girl in the crowd who wasnt screaming...and I was one of them. I was very sad to find out we lost Ben Orr. The Cars are without a doubt one of the best bands and live concert performances ever!

I was fortunate enough to see The Cars in concert several times and this video brings back happy times / memories. They were not a flashy band but they were a band that when they played their songs they did sound like the studio versions. This song was made for Ben's voice. I can't picture anybody else singing this classic and one of the best songs ever recorded.

Just 25 years ago I was enroute to St Louis from Las Vegas, somewhere over north Texas or sowest Kansas, had a walkman on, with FM a station would last about 4-5 minutes.
