  • i dont think this tune was on the wipeout sountrack

    good tune though!!!!

  • This song is way too good to have been made for a soundtrack.

These guys are very close to an LCD Soundsystem here :]]

  • @pauldewitt77 LCD soundsystem?? really dosent go anywhere and is pretty witless - more Like The Crystal Method - sub Chemical Brothers certainly Underworld. Decent enough for the time and the game.

  • This song is way too good to have been made for a soundtrack.

These guys are approaching LCD Soundtrack here :]]

  • OMG, I remember the Lion head level, it was beyond fucking insane hard.

  • Fuck, i remember seeing this on a Playstation demo disc back in freaking 1996!

  • 1997 ruled

  • Thumbs up if you missed the killer combo of the style of music, trancey particle effects when you fired a weapon, and the charm of the characters from the original WipE'out"!

  • Allow me to geek out for a second. It says Auricom on her helmet, yet isn't that logo of the girl with the ponytails for a Ag Systems pilot?

  • great song, great game, hot girl

  • was this footage made specifically for the video? cos i have never seen this as a movie anywhere

  • Oh, Ariel Tetsuo... I was in love with you, girl...

  • @rickzters you must prefer boys then

  • shes hot

  • fluke was around WAAAY before the wipeout soundtrack!!!1

  • Back in the late Eighties and early Nineties, we thought the Japanese wer taking over the world. This videos makes me think, that this is what the future would have looked like if they did. That would have been an awesome site. Man, I love this video.

  • @vigo894 the future will still look like this, don't worry, but it's gonna take a few more years

  • There's just something about a purple pony tailed cartoon girl that drives me crazy!!

  • Behind Enemy Lines chase scene

  • I first heard this in the late 90s... and I got hooked... still got all of flukes CDs.. Great artist.. His old stuff still sounds like it was written today!

  • I first heard this in Enter the Matrix

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO. MORE THAN WIPEOUT.

  • TRUTH, you "DO NOT" speak it!!!

  • takes me back to the days of MTVs AMP- an excellent late night electronica video show

    reminds me of 1996-97

  • Wasn't that a cool vibe, back in the day?

  • It's still a cool vibe. It's been used in alot of commercials for movies especially Bourne Ultimatum & Matrix videogames

  • Agreed. Forgot about that show.

  • overall Execellent music and Excellent game.

  • Speed, power, control, exaltation,

    mastermind planning

    Plus sexy

    I like that... :D

  • I think it still has one of the best, still play it like its coke

  • Wipeout 2097 had one of the best soundtracks of any video game, especially considering it came out like 12-13 yrs ago

  • And Wip3out was awesome too. Adictive songs for an adictive game saga. XDD I remember my father gave me a PSX for my birthday with this game. And i said Fuckkkk!!!! lol

  • @rx713bbp I prefer the soundtrack to the original Wipeout personally. Just thought the music on it's sequel was simpler and more repetitive. Found at least 1 tune boring but can't remember it's name right now lol. I felt on the original Wipeout all the tracks were good - and strangely (perhaps) the in house musician did a better job than the 'names' :) Depends what you prefer, but I like Dance music unpredictable, as well as making me wanna dance. Think Prodigy Experience ;)

  • i've never scene this before until know..

    what is this, exactly?

  • Oh my god I used to get so drawn into this game whilst playing it. The soundtrack was amazing. Wipeout 2097 rules!

  • makes me kinda want to see tankgirl again

  • oh man! MEMORIES!

  • makes me what to play Wipeout XL, it just sucks that the CD broke in half from a lttle crack in the middle, oh well at least I got Wipeout HD with this song blasting in my custom mix.

  • i heard this when i was playing the matrix

  • Lord... I'm feeling old now. What a blast from the past! Still one of the best techno songs ever made.

  • Seriously. I think the first time I saw this video was on AMP in like 1997 or 6, can't remember.

I'm still wondering who the purple haired chick is.

  • you know I still bump this track, great for the highway driving.

  • lol 2007 90's people thought the world would be this cool, it's 09 now

  • lol well if you compare technology, games music, movies and everything else from the last decade and the current one.....i'd say it's better....

  • idk, the n64 still has some games i rather play before i play halo, rockband ,gears o war, ect, and actually now movies r terrible there's no more LIVE action stunts now, you can tell now if a car chase is cgi and it kinda takes away form the movie

  • lol yea right....i'm sure your N64 and the games therefor, are collecting dust as i'm typing this message....and NO.....movies nowadays are better than they ever have been.....this track is one of the few exceptions of how the 90s are better....

  • case and point die hard (1) = epic win, live free or die hard (4) = computer crap (alto it was good the first was better), and ive just beeten ocarina of time over the summer for you information =P, also don't get me started on HOW MUCH BETTER 90's music is compared to this crap to day

  • 007 Goldeneye is the best game ever

  • i'd tap that.

  • Shit, I would tap that too !! And Imma straight girll. :p

    Ahha, great song !!

  • a/s/l. I'll tap you.

  • epic true say.

  • Cool video.

  • 5/5

  • I remember watching this on MTV 2 when they showed videos!

  • Remember AMP too? Geeze what happened?

  • Yes I do. I guess since videos are now on the internet why put them out on tv?

  • Awesome..remember from MTV's AMP

  • ho i never saw that lucky cat at the start this is epic!

  • she's so F I N E!

  • YOU TUBE NEEDS VIDO REAPIT!!!

  • <3 <3 <3

  • narcissusdark's point is a very good one. i agree. in my opinion, if one finds themselves giving a person like this a hard time on the street, they may be able to change that attitude by:

    A) not hanging out with pricks that give people that look different a hard time.

    B) stop trying to be what society wants you to be.

  • aaaa a

    a

  • Wipeout 2097 was an amazing game and still is. Class sountrack too

  • isn't weird. you all think this alternative girl is hot, and yet its you chavs that give people like this a hard time on the street, making fun of the way the dress, and deep down you fucking love it!

  • ^ good point hahaha

  • oh my god where ?which street?

  • any street, any town.. anywhere

  • well i got to get out more? hey

  • @narcissusdark I promise you, I never make fun of them...I worship them.

  • @simbeau u and me... u and me...

  • @narcissusdark ...its like in juno...

  • Fuck chavs :)

Every word that spills out of their scummy mouths is pure irony and hypocrisy.

They're the ONLY people on Earth that actually defy the term 'thick' or 'stupid' making them like, I dunno, 'negative stupid'? lol

I'M IN THE STREET TRYING TO MIND MY OWN BUSINESS AND YOU MAKE ME LOOK AT YOU BY GETTING MY ATTENTION SO YOU CAN EXPRESS HOW ANNOYED YOU ARE WITH ME FUCKING LOOKING AT YOU!

Fuck, the next time a chav talks to me, even if he's being nice, I'm gonna' knock him the fuck out :)

  • Exactly!

  • @narcissusdark Spot on mate your so effin right they would come in their pants if they ever ( never ) got a shot of someone like her too much woman:)

  • Ever since I 1st saw this music video, that chick had become my fantasy-girl! I even had my girlfriend buy a purple wig, but it just wasn't the same!!! A classic video, though...

  • I too had a similar problem, she's just so hot...

  • oh yeah, "She got a Rotokeg!" best bong evar!D miss you, dude.

  • dude hell yeas Wipeout forever!!!!!D what a game...) "Improve Reaction Time!"

  • Cool

  • They should make 'Wipeout' a Motion Picture!!!!

  • And witness another speed racer, God I hope not.. I simply would not trust Hollywood to do the franchise justice lol.

  • A mother...ing atom bomb!! Haha! Coooool! Fluke forever

  • I remember seeing this video on MTV 2 like ten years ago! BBHS freshman year lol!

  • I think this was also in the first level of Enter the Matrix, and in one of the middle-last scenes of Behind Enemy Lines

  • Yes.

  • remember the track from wipeout xl aka 2097 if im right great track

  • I've only had the demo of the game, but I played it countless times, and I love Fluke btw.

  • classic video and track

  • LOVED that game.... Still love that game. its the only PS1 Game I have that survived and I still play on my PS2... and the only reason why I still keep my PS2 hooked up.

  • I also got very very dry eyes and continuous strange sweat attacks, especially in phantom league

  • the game was so cool I thought I was driving the race ship damn near had a nose bleed

  • Go here

  • Was this video only on the European version of the game? (2097)

Because I have Wipeout XL and I've never seen this on my game.

  • was on Wip3out 2097 for definate but it was a different version iirc, think this was the Version from the Wired Album from around 97-98

  • this bonus video was only on the European verion of Wipeout 2097 not on Wipeout 3 (aka "Wip3out" in g33k ;))

You had to unlock it by getting all the gold awards on the circuits.

  • The BEST video game, ever ! I loved it !!

  • Preach it, brother!

  • The BEST video game, ever ! I loved it !!

  • Ah. Brings back good memories. Thanks for posting this.

  • Wipeout HD coming soon

  • wipeout is indeed "the best"!

  • Iv been looking for this song for Time.

    Thank.

    ftd.

  • rollcage is also good but wipeout is the best.

For me, best driving (but worst on ps2), music and graphics style, and seems more a "future racing simulation" than rollcage.

wipeout 2097 (or XL) has two musics by chemical brothers and prodigy, and graphics design by "the designers republic" that lately worked for MTV.

The game was also sponsored by Redbull for having faster reactions during play (can see redbull advertising during loading times and races)

  • Biel.... it was Jessica Biel, not Jessica "don't cal me Latina" Alba....

  • I a bit more like Rollcage wich is almost the same and the only difference is that there is a car. Btw. great Song, there wasnt such great one in Rollcage

  • GREAT track, especially while playing Wipeout on Saturn back in the times...

  • Saw them live like 11 years ago now, still good. Would be great if they include this on the next Wipeout game.

  • The video is okay but the song is AWESOME!!!

  • This... this is just awesome.

  • wipeout is the best

  • A bit too predictable for my liking!

  • lol? whipe out :D

awesome game, awesome music, just PERFECT

  • Great! Glad I am able to find this song and video here. I haven't seen this since it first came out and only once or twice. I thought it was a cool song with a cool video and still is.

  • lol the sniper dude cant aim :P

  • my fav part is 3:12 to 3:47. it is jus awesome

  • I have both versions of the CD single of this song. I have no idea how to post them up on Youtube though.

  • Rip to harddrive and then use something like windows movie maker to put the audio track onto a video.
