Her Leonora in Forza is amongst the best interpretations of the role. She was and is beloved and popular because she was a Diva to her fingertips.Corelli looks as dashing and handsome as Errol Flynn and sings the hell out of Alvaro and add Bastianini to the mix and this is a great Forza!
It's such a pitty that nowadays (and for so many years now) you simply cannot find Verdian voices like these. Singers today seem to come from the same "mould"; all very nice and well manered, but none really stands out. Many Verdian roles are spinto and require "voci guerriere". Lauri-Volpi, Pertile, Corelli, even Bjorling, and so many others in the past, where ready for Verdi's battles.

Maravilloso. Aún con un poco de vibrato en las notas altas Corelli estaba delineando la que sería una de sus mejores recreaciones. Con la voz bastante más lírica que en los años 60, podemos disfrutar del mejor lírico-spinto del siglo. Recomiendo a quien no lo haya hecho la audición de la Forza del Met 1965, en la que un Corelli con voz de tenor wagneriano es secundado por una fenomenal Gabriela Tucci. La mejor versión de la Forza que existe.
