  • Am I the only one here who feels sorry for Xande? He spent his immortal life apprenticed to a master wizard, no doubt making close friends with the other two apprentices by the way, and what is his reward for this dedication? One gets phenomenal cosmic powers, and an entire continent, the other becomes the ruler of the world of dreams, and he got... mortality. And they call him evil when he wants to keep things the way they were? Xande got painted into the villain corner, plain and simple.

  • @magmos I'd imagine some philosophers would say he got the best and most important gift between the three of them... I love how FFIII was a little mysterious like that.

  • @Kentama Oh yeah, the gift of having your body start to decay and get to the oint you need to wear diapers again, while your buddies become the closest thing the world will ever see to deities. Wonderful gift.

Honestly, I'm shocked Xande didn't try to figure out resurrection first so he could bring his master back just to kill him more painfully. Repeatedly.

  • @magmos Heh, well, some would say that death is what helps us to value life, and that it's an important part of being alive. If given a choice I'm sure a lot of people would like to be all-powerful and live forever, but some would say Death echoes a universal truth that transcends power and immortality. I'm not trying to preach philosophy though, I'm just musing aloud.

  • I'm playing through the FFIII remake on DS right now, and Doga and Une were such cool characters. This song caught my ear when I first found Une in the mountain shrine, sleeping an eternal sleep and guarding the world of dream (according to her parrot). The song is really wonderful, and has such a sad, beautiful, mysterious sound to it.

  • ヒャダインかっけぇwwww

  • This song feels very solemn to me.....even sad......i know the idea of the story but still......Love this :3

  • これでは何語ですか。

  • what is this exactly? Whos the main character in ff3?

  • @Abraham609 Final fantasy III didnt have a main character, there were a main 4 who you traveld as and they only gained names in the 2006 DS remake

  • @RhythmBeatFaust the main character is luneth... its like cloud in the ff7

  • @sgl3000 originaly the warriors of light didn't have name or a story. it was made in the DS version to make it more interesting.

  • ヴィレソナクワワラニギャミリャチ?なんやねん・・・

  • ヒャダインだねw

  • スゴイ!!背筋がぞわっとなりました^^

  • This is amazing, I don't even care what language it is in, it is beautiful and emotional. You could know no language and quickly pickup the feel to it.

  • @Lockwolfe Agreed.....such beauty

  • We neeeeeeeeeeeeeed the translation! but... this songis beautiful as it is. but I guess they are singing the quotes from final fantasy 3. among other things I believe the words "the body may perrish, but the soul lives on". but that's just what I think. who made the song anyway?

  • This isn't French, it's Esperanto. I can only understand a tiiiiny bit of it. It'd be better if I had typed out lyrics.

    But it's beautiful. :)

  • If this is Esperanto I'd translate it for you, but I really could use some typed out lyrics because this is not easy to understand.

  • 0:39,, say que vida me espera al fin??? please respond me, contestenme

  • Looks like Cloud and Sephiroth dissaprove of there being a Dorga and Une fanbase, they thumbs down'd this and then skipped off into the sunset having finally agreed on something.

  • My favorite FF! :D

  • woah.... whered the voices come from

  • out of 200 people, onyl 1 dislikes thsi video.

  • Two of the most epic characters in the game. :D

  • the whisperings are bothering , but the song is one of the best pieces of FFIII

  • @TheArca9

no the whispers add to the epicness

  • Translation?

  • never mid, it's japaneese <:P

  • @apapalonglong you're wrong!! i can understand a lot of french there

  • I'm so confused right now. first i assumed it was latin becuse... well noubuo uematsu has picked latin for a few songs. then I heard it couldn't be right so I shot for japaneese due to the discription. but that doesn't sound all japaneese... sooooooo it's french? if so, translation?

  • for example i can heard "C'est mon ami" a lot of times ! wich means "It's my friend"

I head also "fait ce qu'il te dit" wich means "do what he's asking you to do" Then he's singing some french words with words from another language in the same sentence wich give some ununderstable sentences!

However i'm sure this guys have influence from Vandal Hearts

  • @anmeyna While it sounds like it's French, it's actually in Esperanto.

  • I love how this song was an easter egg in IX...still so beautifull! do more please!! IX songs like burmecia theme

  • Yep, and its also in Chocobo dungeons. It's called Inside the Church

  • Subtitles would be amazing.

  • ^_^

  • I only heard this on FF9 as well.

    I really liked it though.

  • keepvideo site... you can dowload this video and convert into mp3

  • These two turn on you late in the game. I could never figure out why they tried to kill you.

  • They don't turn, but ask to be killed in order to have the party receive their powers and be able to come back in the afterlife when needed.

  • @Marz0824 in ffix their souls are latched into doga's artifact and une's mirror, they say their final words or something.

  • @Marz0824

Right. And when the party refuses, they attack in order to force their hands. Because the party needs this.

  • They had good intentions to battling you, as they discovered that in order to activate Eurkea's Key, they needed to battle you to not only prove your worth, but to awaken the key's power and bestow it to you.

Also, since Une was the first holder of the key, it was also a way of bestowing it to the warriors. If they kill the owner, they can get the key.

  • that was the only way to get some item that you need later in the game ... i think

  • The line you may be hearing is "mo ami" which is Japanese, if I'm correct. But, then again, "mon ami" is French for "friend", so it may seem more likely. The way to solve this is a translation. :P Great work, Hyadain, very whimsical, which fits Doga and Une like a glove.

  • This song is too great for words. I just wonder what the main male and female voice is of, because to me, after 1:47 the deeper more down voice is Doga's and the altered is Une's.

  • I thought I heard "mon amie" which is french. Of course I may have miss heard.

  • Is there an mp3 to this?

sorry if it's been asked a thousand times already

  • I've always had this song on my ipod and wondered what the real lyrics were. I've loved this song ever since I heard it in FF9, and when I played FF3 and got to this part in the game, I just sat and listened to it for a while. I hadn't done that since playing FF6 or Chrono Trigger. :) (though FF9 was nice too.)

  • i need this on my Ipod, some one help please!!!!!!!

  • well if you want this on your Ipod, you will need the free youtube to ipod converter. I would give you a link to the thing, but it probaly wouldn't show. ^_^;

  • A translation of this would be nice.

  • The best I can make out is "mon ami(s)", which is French for "my friend(s)". It could mean Doga and Une's friendship.

Where did you get this song?

  • It doesn't sound Japanese... maybe the author can tell. Thanx anyway!!

  • I'm guessing French if anything. I think the words are made up. Well I'm the product of a public school system.

  • Thanks for the answer!! I also think it doesn't make much sense... but I love it Xp

  • it's a made up language

  • Sounds Italian to me

  • read a couple pages back on comments( i know its work) but people were already discussing this, i can't recall the word the called this "language" but its made up

  • You mean Esperanto?

  • Yeah! that word sounds familiar, i think i've seen it awhile back on this video commented by someone.

  • I love this song... can't stop listening to it...

Does anyone know what language is that? Italian? French? s it really a language?

  • Someone said it was Japanese, and it got six thumbs up.

  • This is beautiful.

    Absolutely beautiful.

  • they should have done something like this for the DS remake!

  • argh! cant stop listning to this song...

  • cant stop listening, its so great x)

  • this song is so peaceful..... its a wonderful song you have desided to remix into a truely magnificent song. ^_^

  • Nice music ^^

  • Amano's artwork for Doga is almost scary.

  • This song is beautiful.

  • It's SO good they could've used it for the DS remake. Though you DID put this here in 2008 and the game already came out.

  • I've listened to nearly all of the songs you remade including this one. And I think they're fantastic!

I agree with some of the others. It is indeed a very beautiful remake of this song. Then again, I enjoyed all of the remakes you made for all the other games including FF. :3

    You are a genius. :D

Count me in, as a subcriber. ^.~

Keep up the fantastic work! ^.^

  • Captivating... I cannot stop listening...

  • I Can Only Put It Simply - Truely Beautiful and Wonderful

    XD

  • This isn't french. Maybe Latin...

I love this music, very nice remix :)

  • It's Japanese.

  • That's so NOT Japanese... How did this comment ever get +7 o___O? It sounds Italian/French IF it's already a real language.

  • Comment removed

  • @RockPrincss I can tell you this isn't italian...I'm italian ;)

perhaps it's french,mmh...or like you said,it's not a real language xD

  • Comment removed

  • a capella. as stated in his description. lol

  • does anyone know the lyrics in english?

  • I think it sounds great in the language it's in.

  • I know, I don't mean they should rerecord it in english. that would sound terrible.

I'm just hoping for subtitles for those of us that are not as japanese inclined

  • I guess...

  • I think this is also in FF9.

  • o true? what area of the game? im interested now haha

  • Awesome video Hyadain, keep up the good work. This one is very peaceful.

  • i love your videos! Please continue to upload them to Youtube so those of us who do not know enough japanese to join Nico Nico Douga, can experience them!

  • This is good, peaceful and ispirational for the beginning for more peaceful things.:) good job Hyadain.*If you made it* I've seen lots of his vids of editing and stuff, it's really good, this is really good as well.^^

  • I make a request and get negative feedback? Jeez...

  • ... maybe if you added the word "please"?

  • Playing FFIII right now. Maybe because of this.

  • This is so peacefull...It puts me in such a realaxing mood..

  • Erm, peaceful*

  • I agree!

    =D

  • I... love this... It gives me chills whenever I listen to it.

  • This song actually inspired me to play FF3... when I actually didn't want to touch that game. Well done, sir! =3

  • this song is my favorite from final fantasy 9 you can hear this song in ff9 in the black mage village at the inn if you got certain items with you in the last cd :)

  • i found that out a little while ago xD does this play in the ds version, because i have that..it really fits the black mage village i think...

  • Pretty sure it plays in the cave that Une is sleeping in.

  • and doga/dorga's mansion

  • and unes cave XD

  • Just gorgeous. Stunning and moving.

  • wonderful.

  • I do think this is beautiful, interesting and a great remix.. but I dunno why I can't seem to like this personally though.. unlike other FF songs I've listened to.

  • This music is beautiful... Wow! I wish that Hyadain would have mp3's too.

  • I must say, this is the best thing ever.

  • Hyadain! You have to make MP3s of your songs!!

  • agreed XD

  • c-can yu.....plz???..........

  • I think this song is called "Let Me Know The Truth" from the FF3 soundtrack.

  • Why does Une look like a mischivious... old lady... ?

  • Well, I don't know what she looks mischivous, but she is an old lady....

  • i wish i had this song

  • This deserves so many more views.. It's lovely.. <3

  • EDIT* Sorry, I take that back. I didn't realize that hyadain didn't do the actual artwork, those were fan added I guess.

  • That's actually Amano artwork. He did all the character design up until FF7 (returning for FF9).

  • Actually he did some art for FF8 if I'm correct.

I have one of his artbook's showing such.

He did some art for FF10 too, he stopped after FF10, I think.

Kind of makes me sad to know

    that.

  • Yah he did a handful of art pieces for FF7, 8, and 10. But he didn't have anything to do with character design in those games (where as in the others he designed every character and in some cases most of the enemies). He just did it as a bonus I guess.

  • I miss Amano. )=

  • Did you see the Wolverine and Electra book he illustrated? Very pretty art (as usual)

  • I like the song, disappointed that there's no crazy artwork though like in the Four Fiends and Mario videos though. :(

    Pretty song though.

  • This is a great remix.

  • I really love this song. I've never played FFIII but I know of the song due to FFIX. Doga's Articraft and Une's Mirror. =D

  • i wonder where this came from but love it Doga and Une rocks, oo i mean this version of the song not the games

  • Anyone have atranslation?

  • scary

  • pretty

  • wat song is that???

  • Doga and Une, I know it's featured in FF9 but uhm, in the FF3 soundtrack it's known as: Pavilion of Doga and Une, however it's more fast paced than this.

  • Actualy there are more people in china and japan that speak english than actualy Americans

  • A theory I have, the more people in those countries, the more that becomes true.

  • The Doga and Unei song is one of the best songs in Final Fantasy.

    (can you understand english? ^^;)

  • Beautiful ;__; I haven't played the game in ages~ this makes me wanna pick it up again! XD

  • i wonder why this was marked as spam?

no, he, she, hwatever, speaks english, listen to terra´s theme by him?her
